It's good to see the versatility of styles in these monocolour decks despite the general theme of "red is rushdown" and "green is ramp and large creatures".
I'd highly suggest on your following videos to post the cards your playing perhaps in the lower left hand side so we can read them when they're played. It helps so much when you're learning the game.... which pretty much everyone who'll be watching these videos will be learning the game.
+JeffreyQProductions I would definitely like to, but I just haven't had the time. I'll be posting a couple more videos before the Kickstarter ends, but sadly, those won't have card images either.
+stimhack I'm meeting up with some friends in LA tomorrow to record some more games and commentary, so hopefully I'll be able to post some more on Monday or Tuesday! If you're in the area, you could even come by!
Oh snap, the thing that's kept me on the fence from backing this project is the fact that I feel like I won't be able to find opponents in the Downtown LA area (and that Green/Red is the only available core set... )
+PaleFolklore Well, if you're on the fence and you're in LA, you'd be welcome to come out either today (Saturday) or tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon and play some Codex with us in Pasadena! :D www.fantasystrike.com/forums/index.php?threads/los-angeles-codex-this-weekend.11699/
I think you can't summon a secound hero (fire hero) while having only your tech 1 building... You need the tech 2 for two heroes and tech 3 for three heroes...
+JeffreyQProductions I honestly don't know what the mats are made of exactly, but they feel like the same kind of mousepad-type material that most card playmats are made out of. Also, I /think/ the mats only come with the Deluxe box or as a separate add-on. (Note: I don't work for Sirlin or anything, so pretty much everything I know about who gets playmats with what pledges comes from this update: www.kickstarter.com/projects/sirlin/codex-2/posts/1499076 )
+Alex Krasny Yes it does, I just happen to be really bad at keeping track of my Bloodburn counters in this video. I should get two counters every time my two sharks die.
One more question, sorry for spamming. When you have a card in your patrol area in the technician spot and it dies, does the person who killed it get a card or does the person whos card died get a card? I thought whoevers unit died got the bonus for whatever patrol area they assigned, but the vid makes it a bit confusing... Clarification?
+JeffreyQProductions The general rule is that the person who's patroller died gets to draw a card. However, in this particular case, Zane has a mid-band ability that allows him to draw a card when he kills a Technician, so it's a Zane-specific thing.

46 minutes of Sharknado.

Was waiting all day for this! Great comeback for green.
Shark attack > surprise attack imo
thanks guys!
Can patrolling flying units prevent flying units from attacking base?
+Alex Krasny Yes they can! Flying attackers have to attack flying patrollers first.
Any word on when we can expect the next video? Gotta get my fix in. ;)

Awesome! Sadly I live in Seattle, so I won't be able to attend myself though. ;)

Can players attack workers?
+Alex Krasny Nope. Some specific cards like Detonate let you trash a worker as a card effect, but you can't attack workers.

Ok... I see you have an add-on building giving you the opportunity to play your second hero... Sorry
Are the mats you're playing on neoprene? Will this be standard for pledges on kickstarter?

Does blood burn get counters for the Sharks dying?

Looks like red is weaker.
