nash gautney Yeah I changed our the jets for bigger ones and changed the front sprocket to a 13 tooth (from 15) and the rear to a 39 tooth (from 32). Made a huge difference in the acceleration of the bike.
Yep... she still runs great! The engine sat with water in it for who knows how long and it was seized solid so I poured some oil in it and forced it over with a wrench and ever since then it runs just fine. I didn’t put a penny into that engine 😂
Thats pretty sweet! I have an 87 bw80 the fat tired version I built it im looking at more performance parts but they aren't in stock so idk if I have to wait or what my piston just shattered I ordered my best rebuild kit yet! It's on the way
@@EthanHervig I got a crankshaft seal on the way that was part of the problem i rebuilt her about 5 years ago but she's always run hot i got a top of the line topend kit on the way that may or may not have took most of my paycheck lol...
I hope y’all switched your gas line onto the right one bc u guys had it on the over flow that why no you power but it u pit it on the top me it’s will fix the problem
I run premix in my PW. I just drained the oil tank and disconnected the oil line from the side of the carb. There's no need to get an oil pump blockoff if you're looking to bypass it.
That’s unfortunate man... I guess they’re tough to remove. Maybe put the shock in a vice and put a thick screwdriver through the eyelet and turn it? Hopefully nothing breaks, and maybe some heat would help

Maybe put the eyelet into ice, leaving the rest of the shock exposed and when it’s time to put it in the vice, torch below the eyelet where the threads are and give it a wack with a hammer.

Team lored it is a 2005 PW80 and it’s probably pretty small for you. It’s pretty tiny for me and I’m around your hight. Maybe go for a ttr110 or something that size.
depends on what your using it for. got a 2006 and I'm about 5"7 maybe taller I'm still growing I got no clue. if you want a bike to mess around with or ride around whenever as like a pit bike this bikes great at that if you want a bike to be your main bike to go ride pits or to like do anything else it's not the bike for you it's just not big enough to make sense

I’m 200 lbs and it just needs a lil more umph lol. Top speed yesterday was 42. Also kept up with Apollo 125 in a drag and passed it top speed

My pw has non of that straight into gear was wondering if yours was the same. I like to downshift but hold the shifter down as coast instead of engine breaking the whole time. @@EthanHervig hx cylinder not sure if they sell it online,in my country they sell it,diffrence is that the hx cilinders has bigger ports stock,and i use dellorto 21mm carb

It’s the stock shock! Just has a 2” spacer on it
are you running premix or oil injection?
I run premix in my PW. I just drained the oil tank and disconnected the oil line from the side of the carb. There's no need to get an oil pump blockoff if you're looking to bypass it.
What rear shock do you have in this bike looks good
It's stock! It just has a 1.5" spacer on it so it sits taller

Hey I got a pw80 rear shock spacer. I’m in the middle of assembly. I can’t remove the eyelet to install the spacer. Any ideas?

That spacer only works with oem shock or uall never get it off
Mine all i have to do is put the fuel in it because they have a automatic mixer for the oil and fuel to mix

I have the stock rear shock! It just has an x-tender 2” spacer on the top mount

It came on the bike when I bought it 2 years ago lol, you might be able to find a system online. FMF Powercore 2 silencer and Fatty Pipe PW80
