Good deal, I would love to see how you lay out your studio and it looks like you're handling your "Bells Palsey" well. Hang in there.

Thanks Corey. Another really helpful lesson. Dropping a taste of that whole tone scale between the 1 and 4 sounds interesting. I hear how a little goes a long way as you said. Have a great day!

Hey Corey! Just found your channel and, wow, every video is just gems after gems!! The first video that actually made me understand how to make the whole tone scale usable!! I have a quick question I really hope you see 🤞🤞 I noticed you use your whammy bar a lot on guitars with floating tremolos and your guitar never sounds out of tune. how do you keep them in tune after going wild like that? Any tips? I’ve tried all the remedies, bone nuts, locking tuners, but nothing seems to work. What is the biggest factor to keep them in tune and use the whammy bar? Is it the bridge? The setup? The nut? Very curious. Heck, actually I would love to see a whole video on tuning, intonation, and keeping a guitar in tune. Anyways, LOVE the channel, love your playing, and can’t wait to dig in more 🙏🙏

Yours are some of the best videos! Any chance of exploring ways of deepening common chord progressions with chords outside the key? Not modulating, but just small parts of songs (songwriting) like in the 70's that had so many cool moments when they add just enough of "something else" and then came back. Example like borrowing the minor 4. The Beatles did this so well. Thanks!

Anything recommended to make our (at least my) rather smallish guitar room more efficient and organized.......storage and lighting and set up and access etc., etc...........would be gratefully appreciated, C.C.!!! Jim C.

Especially if you sign up for Corey's Working Class Guitar website for a pittance every month. The content included is second to none. Plus theres a free trial ..so you've got nothing to lose :)

Thanks Corey. I really like the whole tone scale. The same position you use here. However, I use it on the V chord. Quite an interesting sound. It is fun to put a swing feel to it. If you think about it, there is only 2 whole tone scales on the neck. Pretty hard to mess that one up!

Makes sense as it works over any progression moving to the “IV” of the current chord. In other words, licks that work well moving from the I to the IV work equally as well moving from the V back to the I since both cases involve moving to a chord a 4th away.

I’m 71 yrs old, played since the 60,s mostly top 20 stuff, don’t read music, I still play on my own and set in with local musicians now and then. Love blues and southern rock. Clapton is my favorite, along with Nugent , Hendrix , SRV and a few others. You play great. I’m always looking for new riffs and tips. I got a PRS se custom 24 at the moment. Subscribed.

i have the red 63 landau cs strat-smaller frets and neck-love it. and i just got a 57 cs strat with a fatter neck and 6105’s maybe theyre jumbos…but they feel kinda too big for me…love big necks but im on the fence with huge frets…🧐 I was watching the instantly classic Bukovac versus Oz video that Brett Papa posted last night and it looks like oz’s custom shop 50s(?)Strat has jumbo frets or at least 6105s so I don’t know-if they’re good enough oz🤷‍♂️i wonder if u got inspired to do this lesson-which im stoked to dive into-after watching oz shredding wt stuff?? lastly the bells thing looks much improved brother🙌

Corey, this is Eric, it was a great treat to meet and talk to you on Tuesday at the Bukovac show. You’ve been a big part of my getting serious again about the guitar in the last few years. I hope you had a great Christmas. Another great lesson here. I spent my day off practicing that blues comp lesson you had and then moved to applying whole tone to get to the IV. To me the move to IV is where you got room to be interesting. I’ll figure a way to drop some thank you cash your way and not freeload past TrueFire. Your playing is killer and inspirational beyond the lessons. Hope to see you again the next I make it down to Nashville. Happy New Year and thank you sir.
