I'm sure that can be done with the crank removed but would need to be machined down to size. I'm using a different oil pump inner seal that has two springs and I'm gonna try and place the coolant seal closer to the impeller to place the seal on a better part of the shaft. Also gonna grease it super good in between seals. I think this will get me by until I decide to do a rebuild then I will have the shaft plated in hard chrome and machined to size
Ok I have an idea can u spot weld on the low spot then sand down ?
