I have the black dial version and it exudes class and quality. It is let down a bit by the strap clasp (it has a gap) but that's a minor niggle. The watch (with its patina indices) gives the impression of being a dark coffee colour. It is NOT a Rolex Explorer so don't think of it as one. It's nearest is the 1016 but I think that watch has painted numerals, not applied ones. I love this watch for what it is and it is now my daily GADA. Consider it an Explorer style watch and love it for what it is. The sapphire, raised, crystal and AR coating make it look like a $1000 watch.
Great video, cheers. I was sort of on the fence for it due to lack of more reviews but now I'm convinced. Truly a great package for around $200, and more affordable than the San Martin equivalent it seems, which used to be less expensive.
Thank you 😊! Yeah, San Martin have increased their price a bit. The Baltany during the current Aliexpress can be had for 164usd which makes it a really tempting alternative.
@fungorilla I think it's prone or resistant to scratches just like any other 316L steel polished bezel. I still haven't marked mine but I don't usually scratch my watches very often anyway. What I can tell you is that due to having a fair amount of watches I often sell or giveaway some of the watches I'm being sent for a review but this one I've decided to keep because it's really nice. I had kind of promised it to a friend, but it's not happening 😁.
I don't think I've ever met anyone with a 8" wrist🤣🤣You might be surprised. I wear quite a lot the 36mm baltany I reviewed a couple of weeks ago and really love it.
@TheBoldHairspring yeah im 6'4" 250 lbs. The tallest person in my family by far. They used to say I was adopted because I come from a family of short Italians. I have a couple of vintage Rolexes and Omegas in my collection that are 35 and 36mm. I do wear them but not often. You get used to the smaller size.

I bought a baltany 1926. I wasn’t expecting much but the fit and finish was absolutely superb. I was blown away by the quality
The 1926 looks really nice.
Explorer Divers 36mm, 200m, one watch for all. Superbbbb

It works better on a black or tan leather strap - that's when everything makes sense with this watch. It draws all the colours together.

San Martin è bello ,,secondo me ,un mio parere ,, è meglio il San Martin ,,,
Nice video, just bought mine. You convinced me.
Congrats! I hope you will like it ☺️
I really like it but they messed up giving you 200m WR. That’s too much for this type of watch and they could have given it 100m and made it thinner.
I thought the movement was the nh38 in this one?
Hi Simon, you're correct. It's the nh38 which is basically the non-date version of nh35. My bad 😊
How is it so far? Does it scratch easily around the bezel, polished or brushed case?

Thank you for the useful review for the watch.
I wonder which is better for you between S4066AB and S4056 which you have reviewed a few months ago.
I like this one a bit better due to a couple of small details. One is the signed crown and the other is the fully brushed bracelet.
I have big American wrists. I need the 39mm which is still a bit small for my 8" wrist but I'll manage 😂.

@@Libertà_sopra_vitait could be that your mother cheated
36mm Explorer looks fine on big athletic wrists--or at least Rolex thought so in their advertising in the '60s. But you do you.
Anyone have the sellita one?
Nh38 not nh35
Not bad, not bad... ;-)
I like this one better****
These things are getting too expensive. San Martin can jog on these days.
Che black Bay è quello,,delle bancarelle 🤣🤣🤣
Its too thick
