A friend of my parents' (Gene the Motorman) took me in the cab of the Culver Line for a days shift. I was 9 years old. He let me work the "dead man's grip" to start and stop the train. In those days there were only two cars from 9th Ave to Ditmas Ave. It was quite a thrill for me. God bless Gene the Motorman.
Nice catching the signal action! 😉👍
Thanks for catching the signal change @ 3:15.
Lawrence Keesler No problem. Sorry for the late reply.
Good video, thanks
Cool video
My former "home" stop! Go Ditmas Avenue and Ditmas Junior High School!
Yea what's up @ Brian.
+Allen1628famm was that a rerouted G train? Why is it bypassing Ditmas Avenue on the express track? I'm confused.
No. At the time they was repairing the relay tracks near Church Ave where the G Trains used to crossover. So instead the G Train had to used the next cross tracks which was near Ditmas Ave. I do apologize for the late reply.
I like ur descriptive words with info with dis video :)
I guess things have changed since I left NY many years ago. The F Train was only a IND 6th Avenue Express below ground subway train (not an EL Train at all.) It ran between Jamaica,Queens to lower Manhattan ( via 6th Avenue in Manhattan.)
MTA is like never retiring the R68
Why thank you Jarell.
