Those two coasters aren’t in the same league, LR is world class and Rita is a gimmicky coaster that just meanders in a short layout. No shade to Rita, but it belongs at a park like chessington and Alton should get a intamin launch coaster like Taron, Velocicoaster, Pantheon, or Maverick. It’s the weakest thrill coaster at Alton.
If you believe RMC it was a bad idea to put a launch on a woodie, launches require precision tolerances to work properly and in hindsight wood flexes way to much

Like, the cars were the smiler ones, but the logo on the front had been like rusted and crossed out, it tries to undo the effects of the smiler, all that jazz. It would be such a waste of money on tower’s part, but it would be kinda cool for the lore. Edit: also, it had the rumoured “spinning wheel with a bunch of inversions” that you mentioned too. Also, I think this is something that my friend made up, and I’m gullible
Actually they could make the washing machine count as an inversion via using the first half of the prelift heartline roll, having the train enter the rotating section upside down, and then spinning the train back rightside up in the element and send it to the lift. That'd make it guarantee count as an inversion since the train would've gone upside down on it's track as it enters the element Also the hangtime as the train is stopped in the element before the track rotates would be an experience like no other.

i have just got home from thorpe park and although i still need to ride stealth, saw, and swarm, let me tell you soemthing as an 11 or 12 year old, thorpe park was far too much for me. it scared the living shit out of me just looking at some of the rides... i did get on a couple coasters, i think it was colossus and nemesis inferno which i loved, i never went back, 11 years later ive just got home from riding all but those 3 i listed at the beginning, my first ride being rush, which i was SCREAMING the entire way at, made me go white, i managed to then get on nemesis inferno and then the walking dead i loved these 2 rides, i thought the walking dead sucked tbh but i then jumped on colossus AT NIGHT, not remmebering a thing from 11 years ago probably due to having my eyes shut most of it... i come off that with a new found love for them. the first time ive ever reached the top of a drop and had a smile on my face. as i went over the crest my hands raised and i screaming with excitement like never before. and the person who came into mind was digital dan, through watching your videos during the beginning of 2022, i have been able to get over a hugely irrational fear of rollercoasters. I just want to say thank you for helping me. I've always been jealous of people who can ride them without sweating like the bloke from the film - Airplane. i managed it! i had clammy hands sure, and i still hate chain lifts. It genuinely feels like a weight has been lifted mentally. throughout my teens and early 20s, being 24 now i've struggled to manage anxiety even when i know what the outcome of something is, rollercoasters have shown me that even though the beginning of a journey can be petrifying, the actual journey itself is an absolutely brilliant and beautiful experience. unbelievable thankful and just need to say you deserve so so so many more subs!!
gerstlauer wanted to build the smiler with lap bars instead of over the shoulder restraints but towers said no to the lap bars. The ride would be 10 times better if it had lap bars. Sometimes I think towers need to think more about the comfort of the guests on rides.
That smiler element looks crazy and definitely something different. It makes me wonder what Secret Weapon 9 could be?

Bruh I went to Alton towers last week and the sky ride stopped twice on the highest part and I’m the just freaking the hell out.
