Ada Milwaukee Brace Fitting

Due to progressive scoliosis and kyphosis in Ada’s spine, she got prescribed with a Milwaukee Brace to be worn 23h/day. See how nurse fits her with a Milwaukee Brace, instruct her on how to wear her new appliances and show all necessary exercises, that Ada will have to do every morning. After her brace fitting is finished, she goes to meet her friend at the restaurant. Ada is not very happy about her brace, as it catch her a lot of stares from strangers.

I wore a Milwaukee brace in 1983-1987. I do strength training, Yoga, spinning, Pilates now that I'm older :)

That brace looks uncomfortable, but some days I wish was wearing a similar brace or something that can cure my posture, and my back pain.

as an orthotist i can say we no longer fit those devices because there are much better scoliosis treating braces like the Charleston Bending brace, or the Providence Brace, or the Boston Brace. teenage girls would never wear the Milwaukee Brace because they were very restrictive. Plus who would want to wear that during their puberty stage when you are starting to get interested in the opposite sex.

I have weared this thing for years, didn't do anything for me just gave me a lot of black spots from the pressure. It is much more useful to give to adolescent patients a corset where you put elastic band instead of an usual fixed band. You can breathe in it. Also if you read this and have scoliosis look into back bending. It can help you together with other exercises

She worries about the way she looked with the brace. I thought she looked good. And that guy from the u s that was slammin these types of braces and the way they look im from u s hes full of. Well i disagree. I know what looks good.
