The entire family is beautiful. They have great moral values. Mr. Fernandez always bring tears to my eyes whenever I watch his interviews. Now, aim for the Olympic GOLD Leylah, I will be cheering for you too. Good luck. 🌻❤️
I Really enjoyed this. The Fact Leylah Annie Fernandez always has a Smile and is Happy and Positive. Thank You for inviting us into Your Home with your Family. The Future is Bright for Canadian Tennis and Leylah. Hopefully Bianca will be right behind her. Hard work pays off. Vamos! 🎾CA ✌
Jorge Fernandez is very honest and pragmatic when it comes to his daughter’s performance. He’s concentrating on the mechanics, the things you can influence. Drop the superstitions and other things that are not helpful influences. Performances are down to your efforts and a bit of good fortune sometimes. Luck or good fortune being categorised as being adequately prepared when opportunity knocks. Jorge rightly takes ownership for his mistakes and understands that determination alone can’t beat the physics of wingspan. He understands that ‘closing the margins and ‘concentrating’ throughout the match are, the great levellers for a player like Leylah. Unlike so many players, Leylah’s head doesn’t go down because she’s lost the first set. Players like Swiatec don’t throw away an entire set just because they lost a service game either.
Leylah has a good grass game as could be witnessed in her Junior Wimbledon match against Raducanu in 2018. But, like Iga, I think that she fails to give grass the respect it deserves, by way of adequate preparation at the correct tournaments, leading up to Wimbledon. I think Iga will be reassessing her decision to take time off after Roland Garos last year. And Queens Club (traditionally a men’s tournament) are introducing a Ladies tournament from 2025.
There are too many talented young players and elder returning players with great pedigree, only too willing to compete for those top 30 odd places that guarantee an entry and often a bye in tournaments. Humility ‘on’ as well as ‘off’ the court are also key attributes to a rewarding career.

😁 I assumed she is English speaker, French sounds great
🙌🙌
French is most likely her third language. Not too shabby!
