- Here is what a day in our life in Mexico looks like. Today is November 2nd and Fidel and Diego take you to the panteon to place flowers on Fidel's grandparents graves and then take you shopping. After that I clean up the house and make a hamburger soup. Then my sister-in-law stops by and we smash some pumpkins with our nephews. Enjoy and drop your questions below!

You are really so blessed to be living in Mexico Candice. Our people have forgotten what is important family and community. If you are poor or struggling to survive you have no place in the community. And then they say other countries are living in a lower standard of living. I see the standard of living in Mexico to be far better then here😢 the food looks wonderful. People acknowledge one another with kindness and are up and busy living life and thriving in the little pueblos. I wish nothing but blessings and continued thriving for the homeland of my ancestors. Thank you again for your videos.

Candice you give me lots of hope, meaning I lost my husband 9 years ago on November 1st he was born in Mexicali , Mexico he came to the United States when he was 18 months we were high school Sweetheart s we have two children together, and we where married 30 plus years before he passed his parents moved back to Mexico when they retired Much love ❤️
I make a hamburger soup too. I use what ever veggies I have in the fridge. For the broth I use “better than bouillon” and I put a can of fire roasted tomatoes, sofrito and other spices.

Candy me encanto tu video le pusiste de todo un poco yo acabo de ir a mi mexico hace pocos dias y aprobeche al maximo lo que pude desde pasearnos y comer riquisimas comidas y hacer quehacer desde barrer trapear lavar trastes y lavar ropa en mi lavadero es tan bonito todo y no alcance a quedarme para llevarle ofrendas a mis familiares fallecidos pero los llevo en mi mente y corazon 😢 gracias candy por compartirnos tus videos.

We make the hamburger soup too. Except we put diced tomatoes instead if cream, my mom calls it picadillo. Delicious looking. I might try with cream. 😊

I really enjoyed this! The soup recipe is terrific! Such a hearty soup for the cooler evenings and fills everyone up with great satisfaction. I also enjoyed seeing the decorations in the pantheon. We did plant some flowers on my Cunadas graves last year and with a little extra water from Summer they really took off growing and covering.... Now when I return to Puebla we shall see if with the dry weather of Winter the plants still are thriving or not.... Viva Mexico!!!

The hamburger sopa looks tasty. We do a tomato base using El Pato and diced chilis but your recipe made me hungry although I am trying to eat clean right now. Been watching you guys from the beginning. I love the way you and your whole family have transitioned. I tell my wife I would definitely move there and her mom has a house in Guadalajara. She feels it is not safe for a 5 year old but your quality of life is better than what we have here in Southern California. I can’t wait to see more of the house. Kinda like "picadillo". I do the same. Whatever veggies my family wants, add a can of tomato sauce along with water & chicken bullion. But i never tried it with sour cream & cream cheese.

Candy this reminded me of the time my daughter was going to be induce to have her baby, the dr said we can do it on the 31 of October and we said oh no, not Halloween baby. He said Ok November 2.. then she found out it was the day of the dead after the baby was born. It was like wow! She said well, mom I had a Halloween baby after all.
