What I've Been Sewing! Come watch my latest video on Summer Sewing Makes. These are a few patterns I've been sewing. I'll share with you others later! Happy sewing!
That blouse is GORGEOUS! I may need to order that voile fabric for some transitional pieces myself!❤ All of your new garments look amazing. And now I want a midi denim skirt, so I’m pulling out my Bernadette Skirt pattern!
Love that you show both the inside and outside of the garments, as well as your modifications. So very helpful! Your fabric and pattern pairings are lovely! Thank you for sharing your beautiful makes!
I use the pellon P44f from Joann. The trick, though, is to double interface. So I put interfacing on both my upper and under collar and collar stands. The interfacing is a lightweight interfacing, so it won't be bulky when doing this.
Absolutely beautiful makes! I love the fabrics too! Thank you for sharing! Would you say that vogue button down shirt pattern is intermediate? I was going to purchase that pattern but I have several button down shirt patterns, but I really like your shirts! Also, I have a question, I just finished sewing NEWLOOK 6707 and I really love it! I wondered if you could please tell me how you changed the sleeve cap to gathering instead of pleats? I did the pleats but had to put extra pleats in because the sleeves were too big! I think I’d rather gather like you did.😊
Hi! To your first question, yes I would categorize the V2031 as an intermediate pattern. But if you're good at doing buttonholes, it's quite easy. Secondly, with the NL 6707, I just made the bell shape at the top of the sleeve instead of having the little pointed edges. Then I put ease stitches in between the points where the pleats were, and i gathered in the fabric at the top of the sleeve, instead of putting pleats in them. I hope this is making sense.

Hi Tea! Great to see you! Do you find Vogue patterns run smaller along with Butterick?
Yes, in many cases. We need to get together. I can't believe how close we live to one any still we haven't gotten together 💔

Tyfs 👍🩷 Your collars are so crisp. Which interfacing do you prefer? I liked the two tone buttons and fabric choices.

Thank you so much! So if I just round the sleeve cap the height of the pleat points it should work okay? I appreciate your help:)😊
I LOVE the fabric from Minerva. The black/tan fabric. Do you have a link for this? Thank you.
Yes, I do! There's only 2 meters left as of today. But they do have other colors.
