15:20 that's why i think Kang is not strong. In so many cases you either always win, always lose or it's a 50/50 anyway but you're one card down. One card is very valuable and odds of Kang's info being useful are too small to justify losing a card, after all you can expect majority of enemy plays anyway.
Agreed. Not all the time, but Usually You're still gonna lose even after seeing what your opponent played. Feel bad for the people that wasted 6k on him.
To me, Kang isn't about guaranteeing a win necessarily. His power comes from the free bluff cubes and the cubes saved from what would have been a loss. Agree that the missing deck slot is rough though
@@Ricksu_95 This is a trap as the "safe card" decreases the power and winning chance of your deck in the first place. Lists with Valkyrie had lower winrates than this one when I sourced the deck. I can't see any reason the stat changes would do more to enable Valkyrie synergies and change that data directionally. But we'll have to keep an eye on the data and see how it all develops, the meta is potentially in flux a bit with other changes too.
@@RegisKillbin Hey Regis, i currently play an similar deck, but with valkyrie, luke cage, hazmat and typhoid mary. while it has a lower winrate seemingly, it can really surprise your opponent when you drop valkyrie and luke cage (with sera) on turn 6. won a lot of games this way. but dont do a video of this, i enjoy playing a deck nobody expects a lot, thanks :D
Other options to mitigate Sentry's downside are Cosmo, Zero, Dracula (though there are better options), or I suppose filling your right lane first with Brood or whatever. Just don't use Venom on the Void.
I used to use sentry in a destroyer deck but it couldn’t compare to my other 4 costs. I’m so glad they buffed it because it’s one of my favourite cards and now it fits easily into my silence destroyer deck
7:00 On that note, I feel like I'm crazy because when I play my upgrade cards deck (literally just the 12 cards with the lowest boosters at any given time) or even with Agatha I'm convinced I get matched with opponents doing to same or just opponents that are somehow worse than me. I often times find myself staying for turn six and breaking even or winning cubes. As soon as I switch back to meta decks I'm matched against equally tuned decks/opponents.

I did some back of the napkin math and came up with about a 9-10% chance for a repeat location, assuming all common locations (about 50% of matches have 3 common locations). So one in 10 games in the best case, probably close to one in 15 in reality? That seems close enough to trigger confirmation bias in our lizard brains. 😅
I hate it when I get the same crappy location that directly hinders my deck greatly multiple times in a row, though (not hot or featured). Just feels super unlucky
i think a card that changes a location to "bar with no name" (whoever has the least power here wins) would be a great addition to the game, you can maybe even make it something like a 4-10 or something, so its kinda hard to play it. but you can always use zero to remove all the effects to just play it as a 4-10 or whatever the power is
I bought sentry in the token shop right before it got buffed because I thought he would be fun to play and I've never felt better about a purchase in my life.

I also liked debrii as a secondary line w/ spider-woman + demon/titania turn 6 but it's annoying when I have sentry in hand and only debrii turn 3. it's kind of a cross between a combo deck and a control where you can get these huge surprise wins for big cubes but you really have to know when to retreat. also: why does your game crash everytime you drop sentry? that doesn't happen for me at all (on pc as well)
I was looking at the final game final turn asking why don't you just play Daredevil and Psylocke to both win against Red Skull and flip middle alongside the viper. (I was legit asking what's the pros and cons vs. your play, because I, too, have forgotten about Lizard)
I actually think sentry is quite powerful now vipering the void is also super satisfying and if your not able to his downside isn’t that hard to mitigate just filll the lane and play him on six. I’ve been playing him in a sera control shell and I’ve been using him with Shuri as well to pretty good success 👍
