I love how edwin finds her so adorable and she immediately becomes his safe space. he appreciates her for little, little things, lets her hug him and smiles at her without reservations and in turn, she lets him be himself and accepts him for who he is. I love how she esp worries for edwins safety. their friendship is so precious🥺 i hope they bring back niko early in the season, i love her with the gang.
They better bring Niko back. 😩 Clearly Edwin needs her. (not shipping)

Not something I expected from this show, but now can't live without
I think Edwin and Niko's friendship needs to be discussed more.
I think the river scene and the rooftop scene was where Edwin became vulnerable to Niko and Niko kept on loving and embracing him for who he is.
At Esther's house, when Esther was fidgeting the locks on Edwin while talking to Crystal, there was this short 1-2s scene where Niko winces, like she's in pain seeing Edwin in pain. That pained expression in Niko's eyes really got to me even though it was a brief moment.
And the part where Niko sacrificed herself and died right in front of Edwin's eyes? Edwin's scream and kept crying out for Niko, man that's true friendship right there. Even though Edwin is more closed-up in nature, the fact that he also feels a lot when Niko died speaks volumes about their friendship.
Both George and Yuyu played Edwin and Niko flawlessly.
Thanks so much for this video. I really love it that this series we don't just talk about Edwin and Charles (yes this friendship is pure and precious), but there are other friendships in this series that's important and amazing too, like this one for example.
yeah, I agree with you completely! Their friendship is written very beautifully. I’m glad that there are different friendship dynamics in the show. Maybe I have low standards when it comes to friendships in shows and movies but I think it would be easy to just give them a few interactions and make friendship (and romance) between Edwin and Charles the main focus in the show. But thankfully the writers decide to explore other relationships too and that’s great cause these two are totally my favourite🥺
As a Sapphic, the amount I want Niko to be queer so they have another thing to bond over is unhealthy

Honestly, none of the main characters feel straight to me. We know that Edwin is gay, Monty is gay, and Jenny is gay or at least bi/pan, but my headcanon is that Crystal is bi, Charles is bi, and Niko is gay (but I wouldn't be surprised if its more pan, the way she just seems to love everyone for who they are). I might be completely off, but that's just what I think.

It was so well done. In a binge watch model, you shouldn’t have enough time to grow so attached to the characters. But I never realised how much she grew on me till I cried when she died

Edwin screaming out her name - I'm almost glad they didn't put that in this compilation, it was heartbreaking. It wasn't until my second binge watch (whole series, 1 night) that I realised the other 2 people in the igloo are the sprites.
