Are they that easy to counter by good players, or do you need experience to beat them?
Lowkey i could definitely see how he could do this exact thing with Kench. Hes the perfect top pick for worlds. Hard lane bully, high sustain damage, hard cc, can peel for his carry, can coordinate easily with an engage, good late game, and a massive shield that if timed right could win an entire fight.

Garen has been smashing all elo brackets for a while now, he s effectively overtuned, either in his base damage or tankiness. The playstyle against him is extremely non interactive since he s unkillable, and ungankable in lane due to Q MS and W and late game he s gonna afk split and be unmatchable because ult will kill you from 40%. The weakness of being kiteable has disappeared now with stridebreaker DMP phase rush and ghost being in the state they are now.
I love how First Strike is getting absolutely gutted, from 10% upon release, to 9% until the last two patches, to 7% within just those two patches. Might as well remove the rune altogether.
weird i always did that darius build and stomped everyone and i tought its comon knowledge that darius is op. this video makes me wonder how much of a pro game i am and how much riot has been hostaging my account in bronze
Garen was always strong in a way that if he wins lane there is not much anyone else can do... he's so simple to play, straightforward abilities. But the main underline issue here is not Garen itself... it's a huge flaw in game balance and I think riot will never fix it... the issue here is that tank champions having the ability to deal carry type of damage while still being able to sustain a lot.... literally most fighters / tank champions are raid bosses when they win his lane.... this combined with the fact they level up faster due to be a solo lane, if they win lane hard it's pretty much game over... well he wins lane hard or not should mean something in terms of power, true, but should not be game decisive factor... How many games I had where top gets massive leads in lane and then no one can do anything to stop that, one might say we need to delay the game as much as possible...... but then again no one can stop him to solo push towers / inibs, it would require 5 people to stop him eventually but if there are 5 people to stop him it means that the others can safely push other objectives....
i mean i can stay a lane against garen or darius but they are so overbuffed rn that them losing a lane phase with a 0/3/0 score and no tower, they still comeback easly
@@TheCosmicAstro- It is, but that's literally how league works as a game, no way around it. Especially now that there's over 200 champions, there's no way in hell it can ever be based on pure skill.
@@TheCosmicAstro- That's just how the game should go, we haven't had item diff being more important than champ diff for a good 6-7 years. I remember when champs like Jax, Aatrox(pre-rework) and Irelia would just 1v9 after getting their core items. Now it's more like if the champ counters your champ, it's essentially a brick wall you can never climb over because champ skills matter more than items. But this can be dealt with if you just roam and stick with team, if you force fights top then you get punished hard. BDS vs JDG today should be a good example of lose lane but win game if you learn to stick, Garen is not as good in team fights even if he does counter Ornn.
@Aetolus that's kinda ignoring the point though. You shouldn't default lose just because of "champ diff". Thats shit design. Period. As well as you can't always rely on your team. And the argument "just be better" becomes less and less realistic the higher tier of a player you are.
These champions were always broken, and pros say they are not cause nobody plays them so they assume they are trash. If you pick one of these beast and the entire enemy team is not committed to stopping you, you are going to mop everything.
It feels like Riot see League only as Excel table with numbers and formulas 😂. The reason Lethality Caitlyn is strong is literally TWO items - rushing Statick Shiv and then Draktar (AS boots is obvious). Static gives better wave clear, wery high amount of AS and magic damage. Draktar's passive just boosts her damage to the skies and makes her untargetable. All this, plus Lethal Tempo gives her the same amount of AS, compared to crit build, but her attacks more deadlier and she gains self peel passive.
I remember using lethal tempo when it was changed and it’s good choice in my opinion against champs that dash around you. Like fiora so you rely less on your q and run her down. But that’s my idea there probably a better situation for it to be used.
You take tempo vs people who can dodge your Q, at least that's my take from a guy who played Darius for years in highish diamond and low master pisslow😂. Idk about nowadays what's the deal i quit like 4 years ago.

Ryscu casually forgetting that Hans Sama played Kog Maw for an entire split
Two Champion with 40% hp executions and one of them can do it without cool down ain't that surprising to pick in the match where you have to win
I can agree Garen and Darius are pretty good but holy salt.
Well I'm glad they're having fun
But they got 0 team utility lol
@@danvulkhan3284putting enemies in gray screen is the best form of peel
Update: I made it from Gold 3 peak last season to Emerald 3 currently spamming Garen and only Garen. He’s really strong and is very hard to truly lose the game with. Feels like he’s always strong enough to contend or make map pressure, fun as fuck.
Who would have thought, making juggernauts completely overtuned would make it so even pros can’t deal with them
as someone who doesnt really follow pro lol the idea of darius and garen being off-meta top picks is really funny
Renekton and Gnar is easy matchup for Darius I really hope he's stomp a Fiora next
I mean Adam played these champs in the play-ins against wildcard teams. I know they are more fun to watch, but they are reasons no other toplaner plays them
League Esports is at its best when there are teams playing stupid ass picks and getting results
0:33 wow, top mordekaiser lvl 3 moment
Just proofs again how the only reason we keep seeing the same 20 champs is because pro players cant be arsed to learn any other champions
A "weird champion" is picked in Worlds
People: OMG I knew that champ was OP and I was calling it from the start.
It's because in high elo these champs are considered "bad" and only good against noobs... Ego at its finest, because these champs are powercrept to balance their lack of mechanics and low skill ceiling, and in a game were maths DO matter, it's dreadful. Adam has just reminded all these people that powercrept champ are the key to elo climbing AND to win worlds.
@@sylphephilippe449
"in high elo champs are considered "bad" and only good against noobs"
Well, you see the problem is that every champion is supposed to be viable in high elo and Adam is proving it.
Well he has the balls to inject a little bit of risk in this picks to have an entertaining worlds. Everyone is fed up with the same champs over and over being played
I like how he sees himself as some reinventor of toplane meta but instead he is just abusing some of the most braindead champs in LoL
4:20 UH OH. They did not listened. Those adjustments to Seraphine is them trying to shoehorn her into support when she is not really built to be one...
Oh wait, they're different. This will break bot lane Seraphine, isn't it? 7 more armor, 40 more base damage on Q who is better up until you finish your third item, much more base damage on E. Yet it still feels shoehorned into support.
Riot: Finally,we have a valid reason to neft Garen to the ground:))
Honestly, at this point, I'm so happy that a non-Asian player is doing this well, I'm kinda bored of the same teams and regions winning worlds by now...
so R.
No one talking about PSG Wako dying during stopwatch?
It's almost like if you don't play the same old 15 boring ass champions over and over and over again people get more hyped for the tournament and will watch more.
All I have to say is that any nerfs to hullbreaker will not solve the issue with the item, it needs to be removed from the game!
jinx: passive stacks maxed at 5 stacks
vandiril:
That’s because people finally realized there’s no consistency in this game anymore and whichever team does more random bs wins
Huh
Consistency is boring, random bs is fun.
I never said it wasn’t, but ultimately at the end of the day it’s two teams bashing their heads together until one gives.
bruh you just jinxed it
I am so used to DUS. I was so confused when I saw same champions picked again lmao.
They will never implement those rules into pro play but I wish it was at least a side event for worlds 🙃
but Darius ALWAYS was a menace, dunno why ppl dont play him
Garen has been smashing all elo brackets for a while now, he s effectively overtuned, either in his base damage or tankiness.
This is why I love eu in the worlds stage because of the spicy picks
For Hullbreaker that's not an adjustment that's a plain bloody Nerf
weird i always did that darius build and stomped everyone and i tought its comon knowledge that darius is op. this video makes me wonder how much of a pro game i am and how much riot has been hostaging my account in bronze
Gnar tried to stand there and melee auto attack Darius 😂
I dont really follow world but i love this. I love stuff like this. This is all just a big middle finger against meta en those who only go for meta.
League be going wild ever since I quit playing it 😅
As a Darius and Garen main, i literaly busted when bro picked darius, like not ingame, irl
i mean i can stay a lane against garen or darius but they are so overbuffed rn that them losing a lane phase with a 0/3/0 score and no tower, they still comeback easly
Nothing weird about it, he proved that no amount of mechanics and teamplay can undo champion counters even at Worlds
Which is pretty dumb if you think about it lol.
"Champ diff" deciding anything is just outright garbage.
@@TheCosmicAstro- It is, but that's literally how league works as a game, no way around it. Especially now that there's over 200 champions, there's no way in hell it can ever be based on pure skill.
@gabor6200 if they allowed mirror matches it could be
@@TheCosmicAstro- That's just how the game should go, we haven't had item diff being more important than champ diff for a good 6-7 years.
Adam just such a Gigachad even when he plays Darius.
i thought we got used to it when we saw gore graves top was a thing
wholesome darius playing agressive lvl1?
They finnaly noticed those champs are op if enemny doesnt know best counterpicks
These champions were always broken, and pros say they are not cause nobody plays them so they assume they are trash. If you pick one of these beast and the entire enemy team is not committed to stopping you, you are going to mop everything.
why am i looking at an animation of a cat talking for 5 minutes
Adam is so good that he got bored of the common meta
Darn! May we see season 1-2 in action, where everyone played solo q champs?
Thanks for the news!
Lethality caitlyn doesent build shiv
daaaang wow darius and garen stomping top lane?
Wild
Did anyone have Morgana Jungle buffs on their bingo card? Riot is weirdly determined to make that one work it seems.
I find the lethal tempo on darius pretty interesting and I'm currently asking myself why I haven't tried it before.
Idk about nowadays what's the deal i quit like 4 years ago.
oh i dont play either since last year but I found it interesting anyway.@@fotis3v480
I did always think the whole "these champs are only good in low ranks because people dont know how to counter them" was wrong
If you rarely play agaisnt these champs then you dont "know how to counter them" you just think they are beneath your consideration, and as darkest dungeon put it, Pride precipitates a dizying fall
I love that Riot has consistently nerfed Tahm Kench top because they "didn't want him in a solo lane," but they give a random buff for him now?
Can anyone explain to me the K'sante Q health cap cause there is nothing loke that in his Q description.
hullbreaker adjustment is just a nerf 😮
it's funny that every year at worlds they got those sick new meta picks or whatever..
when in realitiy these picks have been destroying gold and below for months, but only once the challengers pick it up it becomes omfg OP, meta, and therefor nerfed to death.
i'll never forget riot for insta-nerfing lichbane sona back in the day, i played it for months in gold and once it got into challenger, it was nerfed within a week.
Day I lost count of asking what the song is in the background at 3:06. It sounds familiar
I don't want to be that guy. But it only works against low-mid tier team so far.
vs 369 it looks like he stomp Ornn. Then the Ornn he 'stomp' suddenly become far more useful later
