My dad loved Johnny Cash (so do I). My dad passed just recently (April 24), so I’m sure he’s already met Johnny in heaven. Rest in peace, Daddy and Johnny.
I am sorry you've lost your Dad. I understand. My Dad passed in Feb 24 and loved, would listen to this song with me too. I believe they have met Johnny in Heaven.
Johnny Cash is the ONLY musician in history to be inducted into all 3...the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, The Country Music Hall of Fame & the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Let that sink in for a minute. Johnny truly was the voice of God. Everyone is gangster, until Johnny walks in the door.
He didn't just walk the line, especially when he reached the 1980's. Love this man. I needed this tonight. I felt lately I've been walking off the line.
Johnny Cash was once asked words to the effect of "So what do you do when you're at a restaurant with your wife and just want to have dinner in peace, and somebody comes up to your table and asks for an autograph?" to which he immediately responded "I put down my fork...." Class act. Man would be within his rights to tell fans to go away, but he never did. Class.
I got his autograph when I was 6 years old and he looked like the coolest tall man lol Only a kind soul would do that coming out of the hospital . R. I. P. Mr. Cash 💖
Johnny Cash has an amazing deep rusty sounding voice. I love hearing it. His voice is like butter with pepper sprinkled on it. Gravelly and deep, but so pleasant to hear.
My dad would play Johnny Cash songs on his guitar when I was growing up. I’d hear him singing em below my room at night b cuz his work room was down there and he’d be practicing. He had a real deep voice too and I have the best memory today of him singin Walk The Line down there as I grew up. I’d get down on my knees by my register and listen to him play at night. He never knew that. He passed away in 2015 but the memory I have of him singing like Johnny Cash and playing the guitar line in this song is one of the best things I will ever remember about him.
Johnny had it all, a gorgeous smile, unlimited talent, and a magical way of hypnotizing us all. I love mostly, that he chose to share it all with us. RIP JR 💜💔💜
Your Johnny Cash videos are exceptionally special and bring back so many wonderful memories. Johnny Cash was a unique individual & performer. There will never be another Johnny Cash.
Dear Jonny, today you have been a star in the sky for 20 years. 🌟You remain an immortal, unforgettable, unique, special person. 🌠 Thank you for all man in black 🎸🖤🙏🏻
I love this musician, hes always given me so much inspiration, so much joy because of his AUTHENTICITY, you can hear the conviction in his tone and in his lyrics, his message is clear, true, alive.
Fun fact: When Johnny went to record this he didn't have a snare drum or a drummer at all and he liked the snare drum sound so he put the paper through the strings of the guitar.
This song brings many emotions and happy memories from the younger days listening to my grandad playing and singing this flawlessly, one of the many things I miss from him.
I Walk The Line I keep a close watch on this heart of mine I keep my eyes wide open all the time I keep the ends out for the tie that binds Because you're mine I walk the line I find it very, very easy to be true I find myself alone when each day is through Yes, I'll admit that I'm a fool for you Because you're mine I walk the line As sure as night is dark and day is light I keep you on my mind both day and night And happiness I've known proves that it's right Because you're mine I walk the line You've got a way to keep me on your side You give me 'cause for love that I can't hide For you I know I'd even try to turn the tide Because you're mine I walk the line I keep a close watch on this heart of mine I keep my eyes wide open all the time I keep the ends out for the tie that binds Because you're mine I walk the line
Regardless of the greatness displayed there's just always a jealous, oppositional imbecile in every crowd. Anyone who would click on a video just to downvote it is an obvious loser idiot anyway.
I would sneak out into the hallway so I could see this show every week (it started a 1/2 hr after my bedtime😢) - always loved his voice & that he introduced the world to the Statler Bros! ❤❤❤
He had such an infectious personality, a cracking smile, a wonderful voice, an amazing talent and I just miss him. The world is not the same without him.
I did not know Johnny was alredy dead....I have heard one of his songs ...I liked it so much....I am sure he was one of the best country music singers...
This was his homage to those who died in Vietnam at the time. He's a man that doesn't publicize, any other way but through song. My dad used to say Johnny Cash was the John Wayne of country music. And that John Wayne was the Johnny Cash in Western time.
Man the feeling Johnny Cash must've had when he looked at June. You can tell by the biggggg ol smile on his face. You never saw him smile more bright than when he was looking at her. Everyman wants to feel like that. Everyman wants to feel like a little kid when he looks at his love. To the few like these two that actually have/had it, I envy you. Rip to the best.
Everyone who reads this comment may god bless your day and forgive your sins❤️ THank Lord

He had such a beautiful spirit, it showed when he sang. He didn't need any gimmicks, he just stood there and commanded the stage:)

My dad was a fierce Johnny Cash fan in his 30s & 40s. I listen now, 60 years later, & the authenticity floors me. Wow.

I Walk The Line
I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you're mine
I walk the line
I find it very, very easy to be true
I find myself alone when each day is through
Yes, I'll admit that I'm a fool for you
Because you're mine
I walk the line
As sure as night is dark and day is light
I keep you on my mind both day and night
And happiness I've known proves that it's right
Because you're mine
I walk the line
You've got a way to keep me on your side
You give me 'cause for love that I can't hide
For you I know I'd even try to turn the tide
Because you're mine
I walk the line
I keep a close watch on this heart of mine
I keep my eyes wide open all the time
I keep the ends out for the tie that binds
Because you're mine
