Routines: light grocery shopping, coffee bean runs (or coffee), commuting to work or just riding to anywhere the roads take me (I ride a 2018 BMW Grand America)....but looking to add an FTR! Take the HD to the rideout!! Your back will thank you for it! But I do understand your delimma!
Last year I bought my 1st Harley and it was a 2018 FLHCS. I love it too! The only difference between yours and mine is the color (Silver Fortune) and the 114 I have. I'm glad you enjoy your new toy!
@@OneDownGeneUp One opinion is why Harley doesn't go all in for led lighting. I just changed my turn signals and tail light. What's really cool is I had a 1968 Mustang Fastback that I sold last year and the money I got from that sale went to the purchase of my Harley. This ties in with the tail light I bought. It has three separate lights just like a classical Mustang has. So now I have a memory on my bike to remind me of my former car.
Bummer it's not the Streefighter. Lol. I've taken my Ducati Monster to BRO the last 3 times I've gone. This year I'm taking my Triumph Tiger. Basically ride whatever you're comfortable with. Can't wait to see you there!
@@OneDownGeneUp it's a toss up but I'm sure you can google it. I know the tourers/baggers do and the heritage is in that family usually but it's built on a soft tail frame which is where the 'maybe' comes in
Take the Heritage. My dad took my 93 Heritage to Sturgis (from Arkansas) three times when he had it. Never had any complaints. Harley has since updated the frame, engine, and other components. Should be a great ride. Your body will thank you too.
Congrats on the new bike! Babes Ride Out sounds like a lot fun...but too far for me and not a saddlebag in sight here. 😁 Glad you also had some awesome weather up there. Finally!
Harley's are well balanced so the bike doesn't feel like a slug going down the road or when you have come to a stop. The Heritage is a great bike that you can stay in the saddle for long periods of time, and when you get off you don't feel beat up and worn out. I'm jealous now! You have two great bikes to ride!=)
It's a Go for Pie and Coffee usually in SE Ohio. Before Covid we would enjoy riding to Scio's Volunteer FD Roast Beef dinner every last Sunday of the Month and we're looking forward to it coming back. Nice Bike you picked up too!!
Nice Harley 🏍️👍 The heritage is cool 😎. Good choice and great for crusing. I would be riding that as much as I can. My routine is doing the rounds of the local coffee shops on my cruiser of a weekend. Have fun on the new bike 🏍️.
Living here in a tiny rural town in the foothills of the mountains of Washington State, I don't have any routine rides. Every time I get on one of my bikes I don't usually have a specific place to go. I just enjoy going down the hills and curves of the mountain roads here. Although I do have a few annual rides I take, Mt St Helens, and ABATE of Washington's Spring Opener, nothing on a weekly or biweekly timing. Sissy bar on the Heritage would look OK especially with a bag. But ride the bike you are most comfortable with.
@@OneDownGeneUp we do have some amazing roads. With three volcanoes within 30 miles, it gives us some amazing mountain twisty roads, ocean coast roads, and high desert within 2 hours of where I live.
If you and the hubby ever decide to ride out to the Pacific NW and ride some amazing roads, let me know. I can at the least set you up with a list of some of the best. If not actually show them to you two.
Congrats on the new bike! I used to have that bike, you can travel ANYWHERE with it stock, soooooo comfy. Take the Heritage! It would be a great opportunity to get to know your new bike.
Hey Tim; thanks so much! Yes I wear a full-face helmet 100% of the time I’m on motorcycles (you don’t get another face!), and right now I have just a base-model Cycle Gear house brand Sedicii but hoping to upgrade to something quieter and lighter this year...any suggestions?!
Good to meet you and your husband today! It was a fun full day of riding. I lost that receipt I wrote the name of that english motovlogger you and your husband was telling me about? BTW great content new subscriber. Im liking your video style your talking to yourself like a pro already!!!! great audio also
Hey Oscar, thanks for watching! The main differences that matter to most people are: 1. RK is built on the Touring frame, whereas HC is built on the new Softail frame. 2. The RK weighs about 80lbs more than the HC. 3. The RK has hard painted bags where the HC has leather-trimmed hard bags. The RK bags are said to hold a bit more. Largely an aesthetic choice though. I felt most comfortable handling the Softail frame for my size, so that’s what decided it for me; it handles very well around the city, and still has a nice planted feel on the highway. Very smooth bike.
That windshield is good at protecting you from being hit by rocks. It would be easier to pack the H-D other than that both will make that ride comfortably.
Hi, David, thanks for watching! No, I don’t really like the aesthetic of the Speedmaster, but my husband thinks they’re the coolest! Different strokes, I guess.
New sub here. Welcome to the Harley world. I would expect your Triumph is far more capable than my old Bonnie, but I think your new Harley is more suited for longer days in the saddle.. I honestly think you will be loving your new ride as much, if not more Very quickly. Ride safe.... I look forward to seeing your adventures.
I just watched Jess' (HTW) video with the 4 of you camping. Just curious, you brought the Bonneville to that. Are you taking it to Babes Ride Out then?
My vote is for the Heritage for the NY trip. I suspect you could pack more and be more comfortable. My slim had the 107 and it does have some get up and go.
I don’t have a bike routine (not a biker) but I have a French press coffee routine that I use with Black Rifle Coffee Company coffee beans. Get some! 🏍🏍🎸🎸🏍🏍
Congrats on the new ride! Looks beautiful. I just rode a Harley for the first time the other day and it is a special feeling for sure. Very curious to see which one you end up picking for Babes Ride Out.
7:42 - Do you think wearing a mesh jacket would have reduced the rock impact? 😉 The footage from HerTwoWheels and Queensit of BabesRideOut 2020 was pretty damn cool! I'm sure you'll have a blast!
When they passed you and you said “you wanna go”, I thought about that Seinfeld episode with Frank and Elaine (When Frank said “You wanna a piece of me?) 😀😀
I was thinking y'all got yourself a Indian but congratulations on the Harley. Take the Harley to Babes Ride Out big windshield, cruise control, backrest be as conformable as possible to have the most fun as possible.
Please consider “subscribing” to follow my adventures out-of-state later this year!

Hey Philip, good point! I ended up taking the Bonnie after all, and it carried a *ton* of stuff without any issues! What a great bike 😊
Very nice bike. Heated glove but only a sweatshirt. If I needed heated gloves I would need more than sweat shirt.
I know I make no sense 😂 my hands are always cold
How is the Bonnie compared to the rebel 1100
IMO the bonnie is more comfortable and I like the sound of the bonnie better. Seems like power feel pretty similar, but the bonnie has a slight edge.
I've got a 29 inch inside leg how is the Bonnie for seat hight and them spokes look like a right mission to clean lol
