Nick, this review was just what I needed. 😁 Never had the Alphafly 1 as I have always been using the Vaporfly ever since the 4% came out. Due to your comparison, I just ordered the Alphafly 1 at a great discount for 189€. 😁 Compared to the whopping 305€ for the Alphafly 2. 😵💫 Can‘t wait to try it out. Will hopefully be my shoe for the Berlin Marathon this year.
It's good to see there are actual improvements in comparison to the original. I guess I'll wait a bit for other colorways to drop, since a white alphafly 2 will get worn out and get dirtier much faster than a darker colorway.
Using V1 for comrades in August but now I might have to try these. I love V1 even when I go slower they are just so easy on my legs. Thanks for the video
Thanks for the all the Run Testers info on these today - quite a bit to catch up on! Is there any change in the depth or thickness of the underlayment at the toes? I have been rewarded with a few bruised toes during long runs thanks to the noticeable ridge inside on the V1s. Still probably pick up a pair when they hit the U.S. Thanks!
How many races do you guys use them for before using them as trainers? I have a pair of version 1s with two marathons and one 20 mile training run on them. About to run the 2022 New York City Marathon and was wondering if I should get a new pair of v2s or roll with my old ones.
Are these shoes a lot less stable than the Invincible? I guess they have a more narrow platform but also have carbon which may add some rigid platform to the foam.
Saw someone say they put the insole from their endorphin speeds on top the insole for the alphfly to help with that. I ended up trying that and it felt alot better!
Having run next to a few runners wearing alphaflys on my last two races I never realized how clunky those shoes sound. It almost made me think they were wearing steel toes work boots. May be due to sloppy form of those runners. I'm a very quiet light footed runner and found it comical listening to them run. My streaflys and vaporflys are very quiet shoes compared to the alphaflys.
No one NEEDS the Slphafly's 1 or 2. Comes down to which shoe Nike is handing to you when you sign with Nike. Till then I say get the cheapest race shoe ....eg. Vaporfly Next $. ( selling for onlky $239 Cdn) vs 4330 for the "2". ...and with the Alphafly 2 at $450.00 (Cdn)??? Actually don't see a point in the Alphafly to be honest.... For non-elite non-sponsored runners who have to pay for hteir own shoes....the Alpha isn't going to give a huge advantage. If Kipchoge could win in Vaporfly's (not even the "2").....And if one does have sponsorship....then you wear what is handed to you. Alphafly 2 or Vaporfly 2....heh...add when youre at that level....Im sure Nike does a few "custom tweaks" to the show too....so its not going to be an off the shelf Alphafly 2....so really...who are these shoes for??? :)) Amateur runner chasing PB's by entering marathons? Get the Vaporfly Next$ while you still can....if it has to be NIke. Kipchoge got a modified 3-plate Alpha....heh...Now banned. :)

Great glad it was handy! Hope you enjoy the shoe, great price

Nick is the perfect reviewer for this V2 as he loved the V1.....Interesting to see follow up after more miles in them 👍🦾🏃
Def a big fan of the line! We’ll get some race reviews up as soon as poss for sure

The new heel shape alows for much easier stretching after the run. This was always an issue for me with the previous iteration.

I’m curious to see a same distance to see if the 2 helps you run faster than the 1
I wear orthotics. How do you think they would be with them? Thank you, awesome video!
Thank you, just the review I was looking for. Better start saving up then.

Which one I need to buy alphafly 1 or alphafly 2
I don't have any. I am becoming a runner. Would I notice anything between the two?
How is the width around the arch? I have the original and they are the fastest shoes I’ve ever tried but I do find them a little narrow.
V1 gave me a lot of pressure in my arch is my foot hung over the midsole. Any change in width here?
The same happened to me and I had to return them. They were too norrow for me.
Saw someone say they put the insole from their endorphin speeds on top the insole for the alphfly to help with that. I ended up trying that and it felt alot better!
You know you could replace the insole with a wider one right? Did that myself
@@JohnGene1 Any insole with a wider arch will almost always completely resolve the issue
The shoes look like it can run itself :0
They can, had to put a leash on mine because it kept bouncing around.
How’s the noise in v2? Honestly put me off v1. More noise=more energy wastage. Plus found it slightly annoying..

Can you run on grass with the Alphafly 2
Dry short grass
I don’t like the new ones. They don’t have the same cushion or propulsion than the first version
How is the noise from the v2? Does it still sounds like a horse?
Still pretty loud I’m afraid!

I just payed $130 for my new Alpha Flys on ebay!!!
Be very careful of fakes on ebay!
@@McNashtyFPV I've never had a problem with ebay
Alpha fly 1 right?
@@matiascarrillo7916 that's right, alpha fly 1
