People complaining on price, just remember this cost just a few thousand more than 350cc bikes like RE, Jawa and Honda. This seems much more nicely finished and powerful than those. Let's see how market reacts to this!
Classic 350 has it appeal. It was never about power. Dominar thought that too but flopped miserably. Classic has it's own segment. It's retro appeal is timeless.
Royal Enfield has grown more than a brand nowdays. It is more nicely finished and has gained international appeal again.350 again is still 29 horsepower, less than triumph but the ride is something else.

Should've priced around 2 lakh or under if possible. Speed 400 looks like a much more expensive bike than it is. This just looks a budget speed 400 but is only 10% cheaper.
This bike is 17 thousand more costly than it should be. Also they should have done something else to the design while neutering it's power to be laid back. So that it doesn't feel like a horrible deal. It's simple, you're getting a slower and fewer feature loaded bike for just 23 thousands in your pocket. It makes more sense to push your budget and buy the more premium, powerful and feature rich bike. RE customers won't go for it as it looks and feels nothing like it. One thing people are completely forgetting is that Speed 400 was triumph entry to a new market and in category which was fairly new (400cc). They had to make a product which proved more than it price tag. There is a reason why speed 400 outclassed the sales of harley 440x , and maverik 440 when both came at the same price. I am sure at the 2.34l they were barely making any profit and proved that indians will buy a good bike from any brand over avg bike from a famously known bike brand.
