Hey man, great video! Just wanted to share a few uses I know do that weren’t included: If you need to edgegaurd an opponent who’s recovering really low and you have a habit of accidentally grabbing ledge every time you try to drop down, you can run off ledge and do a b-reverse gun to put you right underneath the ledge which can be followed up by a counter or downward guns. B-reverses with gun are generally really good. While edgegaurding, they can turn you around to switch if your doing a forward air or back air, and they can help mix up your movement in neutral with well-placed jumps. While playing in Battlefield, if you’re underneath one of the lower platforms, you can do a full hop rising gun into a slide. You will perfectly glide across the entire platform. If you’re facing the ledge, you can immediately run off and try to 2-frame a recovery with down air, as you will be right above the ledge. This is all I really got. Either way, these Joker guides have helped out so much and I hope you continue with them!

True also this might sound rlly stupid but….. how do you cancel down gun I’ve been playing joker since I started playing smash more seriously and less casually and I’ve mastered everything except that how do you cancel it I need to know cause I go offstage w down gun and always die
@@shortesnameofalltime Stop holding the buttons? Idk man works for me but I do feel it’s hard to cancel into aerials for a safe landing, just picked him up a few days ago

I’m surprised you didn’t mention that gun goes through armor. If your about a quarter or less of guns range away from the opponent it’s an granted flinch that stops all armor moves.

A lot of projectiles work this way, the armor doesn’t really need to work from a distance, so it doesn’t

i drop down and immediately jump with a buffered back air. it’s recommended to set one of your triggers (L or R) to jump, so you can do a frame 1 aerial out of a jump, like the backair from ledge! works amazing for ledgetrumping too :)

Wow this channel is so good for joker content! I just picked up joker a few days ago, after thinking about him for some time. I've been getting better overall and lately I've just been feeling restricted in my knowledge of characters! So joker was my go to! He seems so cool to play! Something to point out is that gundash can be ledge cancelled, and as a result can be cancelled of of platforms as well. There isn't much use for cancelling it off of ledges since running off serves the same purpose, but as for platforms, you can execute it by just doing a regular gun dash by standing on the platform, OR *you can do it from the ground using a full hop, which is what I'll be talking about here.*
This can be done on Battlefield, PS2, and T&C middle platform.
Battlefield is the easiest map you can do this on. To do it, hold jump and special at the same time, and then hold forward to do the dash. Continue holding forward after the slide and you should slide right off the platform. As I said before, you can do this from the ground to the side platforms, but you can also do this from the side platforms to the top platforms using the same inputs.
Doing this on PS2 and T&C is harder, because you have to actually time the special input instead of pressing it at the same time as jump.
T&C is the hardest of the three to do this on since you have to hit special the latest out of the three.
You'll know you did it right when joker does a really long and smooth dash. It's pretty easy to mess this up on T&C cause the timing is super strict.
From the platform cancelled gun dash, you can do every aerial as long as you don't fast fall, and you can land fair 1 if you do fast fall.
As for viability? I'm not really sure yet. The only real use I can see is for getting to center stage really quick when you can't run forward, either due to projectile spam or something, and you can't jump over the platform because they can easily anti-air you from the angle you'd come down from.
This isn't really something you should be doing all the time, and it's more of a burst movement mix-up tbh.

I don’t know if you mentioned this but Downwards Bullet Storm is also very good as a combo starter and Gun Dash can cross up people in some situations

At high percents guns can put your opponent in a tech situation. If you gun dance into them you can make them flinch and hit the ground. If they miss the tech you can go for a F-smash attack. So far I don't think You can follow up with any more jabs with that move in particular. Just gun dance to f or d-smash. You can also jab lock with guns (gun locking). Gun locking will allow you to jab lock at a distance and get close enough to the opponent for a down tilt or even a down smash. It also does more damage than regular jab locking.
i tried to get something with Gun dance but couldn’t really find anything useful! glad to see i was wrong! im getting a lot of other information regarding guns so I might have to make a part 2 👀

This is amazing. I just wanted to ask though; how do you do the double jump down guns to forward/back air consistently? Whenever I try it, it never comes out and I just land. I am able to do an air dodge, but not the fair/bair
you have to do bulletstorm at the peak of your double jump, and hold (buffer) the action that u would like to do while going down with guns. if done correctly, moves that are fast enough (bair, fair, upair, airdodge, countsrs) will come out right before hitting the ground. but moves with bigger startups like Nair dont come out fast enough. hope this helps :)

Is there a way to cancel gun mid air??? I tend to buffer guns and I fall to my death with the guns shooting
how to easy win with Joker
Step 1. Spam down b until you summon your persona
Step 2.gun, side b, and tilts
step 3. repeat
im seriously in love with all of your videos, and will definitely use them to improve, but i feel like ive hit a slump where i feel incompetent against a lot of other smashers. have you experienced this? and if you have, what would you try to do to fix it?
that happens, you reach a peak where u feel like ur not learning anything anymore. i would recommend playing top players, or players who are better than you, have them be in friendlies (but preferrable money matches, like $5 so they take it more seriously) and afterwards ask them where you could improve, what areas of your game are predictable, etc. Most people are cool and will give u advice no problem! u also wanna go over your replays where u lost so u can have a more clear understanding of why you’re losing or simply not improving. hope this helps and thank u so much for the kind words and support! 💪🏽

I like to use the gun spin when I jump from the ledge because with the nerf it's more reliable

I find the timing of down guns very difficult (ie i might accidentally extend it when trying to eiha)
you're probably tapping the b button one too many times or too quickly between down guns and side B, giving you another set of down guns. just be a bit more patient and let go of the b button for a second to stop the guns animation and then tap it again to get a Side B :D

you're probably tapping B one too many times, by simply buffering (holding down the button) the downguns will finish right before landing, which will allow u to throw out a back air, counter, or airdodge!

How do I cancel guns
at 1:40 i for the life of me cannot do this i cant do a side b that actually hits them because I am to low , its takes to long for the down guns to end before the side b comes out so the side b always just hits the stage. idk if there is a way you are cancelling down guns that I don't know about or if they patched this? im guessing im doing it wrong . I hang on ledge I double jump and down gun right away as soon as joker starts down gun i let go of b and as soon as it stops or even a hair before i input side b . im used to buffering moves but if i try to buffer to quickly he just continues to do down gun to his death
what’s probably happening is that you’re tapping the B button too much. joker’s down guns stop automatically after 3 shots, but if u hit the B button again anywhere in the gun animation, you’ll end up doing another 3 shots! just tap the b button once and you should be good 😁
@@CozyyPR yeah I was only pressing once and it stops after 4 shots I mean I can do it very inconsistently but not consistent enough for me to use this tech. If I was in disadvantage and up higher then my 2 double jumps then yah for sure but idk haha my timing just isn't good enough . I just picked up joker so maybe over time I will be able to be better with it. I havent played him much and was an inkling main but I since I've been getting every character into elite once I got to joker I had so much fun with his drag combos that I feel like I might main him. Your videos have been really useful though!

I have a question tho, i'm starting to play joker, and i have a problem, at 1:10 you did a dodge, when i try to to the same (or input an aeiral) it doesn't come out and i end up buffering a tilt attack, is there any queue i can spot to help me lab this?.

you have to double jump and buffer bulletstorm at the apex of your jump, doing a double jump will have bulletstorm end right before hitting the ground, giving you time to pull out certain aerials and other moves like airdodge and counters! you also wanna buffer the airdodge by holding the button down throughout the gun animation. hope this helps! :)

One problem I had. I tried practicing the strat where you double jump off ledge and downward gun then side b, but my downward gun was lasting so long I died the majority of the times I did it
you just held or tapped the B Button one too many times and it gave u another set of down guns! wait a bit in between the downguns and the side B to get the side B out instead of getting stuck in downguns 😁
I think gun spin is low-key underrated ... they should have buffed that after nerfing bullet storm cus spin is stylin

i dropdown and quickly jump and buffer the gun shot, and i hold forward so the slide comes out! i recommend setting one of your triggers (L or R) to jump so you can perform a frame 1 aerial (or special move). i hope that helps :)
How do you jump or something else after inputting bullet storm up or downwards? Every time I try to do something, bullet storm still continues.
so you have to let go of bulletstorm completely, what i mean by this is to stop holding down on the analog stick, and stop holding or tapping B. bulletstorm comes in sequence of 3 shots, after the 3rd shot is when u can do something else. during the bulletstorm animation you want to hold (buffer) the action you would like to do and joker should cancel bulletstorm as soon as possible. if you do it onstage after a double jump, slow moves like nair wont come out on time but fair, bair, airdodge and counter will! mix it up between those options, hope this helps :)
I’m double jumping and doing downwards gun and buffering back air but i’m still locked in the gun animation. What am I doing wrong.
you may not be doing it at the very peak of your double jump! or you may also be tapping the B button one too many times, causing you to do another set of down guns (3 more shots) 👍🏽

im not 100% sure but guns technically aren’t projectiles, rather really large disjointed hitboxes, so maybe? im not really sure tbh. that can be easily tested in training mode though

I'm a complete nooby so sorry for this question but after watching your videos and other smash players I have the feeling pro players don't even use smash attacks much? Almost better for using that stick for tilts? Again I'm a noob with only 30 hours of smash under my belt.🧐
CookieKiLLerxD thats not a bad question at all! i notice that too but most of the time (depends on the character obv) tilts are safer and can lead to a lot more than smash attacks which are mostly used for kills. but smash attacks out of shield or spotdodge are crazy good in this game too! :D

well there are other (better) options than gun but if u really wanna go for it its really just a matter of practice and getting a habit of how ur opponent likes to recover. mid recoveries and low recoveries can be punished with guns, while high recoveries ur better off waiting and hard punishing. theres really no way around it other than practice and awareness, try to punish whatever option ur opponent decides to go for

u mean with upair dragdowns? if so, i dont know how to do it consistently enough to make a video out of it though, once i get it figured out thats def in the plans!
when i say “consistently” i mean doing it as long as i literally want. but i always drop it after a certain amount of upairs! ima look more into it and try to have that for you guys! :)

I learned that you can do a b-reverse without moving in the opposite direction, so I use that to space my opponent after they recover. However, I'm trying to learn how to stay close to the ground so I dont move as slow.
