I am sorry I have to disagree... the drums were sloppy (not sure if it was maybe the camera) and the drill was also not very good.... Usually, I am a big fan of fife and drums, but not like that... There are better marching bands out there.
@@Empreur500 I think the beautiful ladies did a fantastic job. I'm sure there are better bands and worse too. I'm not an expert, but these appear to be older rope tensioned drums without the sharp crispness of more modern high tensioned drums. American girls are complicated, the rifles are just wood and have been used in Hundreds of parades over the years. The other reason is because we are afraid of the Huns invading so all of our high level band marchers carry them
Overall great performance... however, the uniforms are uhhh... quite off. And some of the Drill movements. I know this isn't the military. This video just popped up in my recommended after I watch the British Army (Grenadier Guards) in Belgium. However, they could fix the uniform and make it as impeccable as the Foot Guards Uniform :D
Gotta agree, they seem to lack a bit of order and discipline. The skirts on the uniforms were crooked and why was the girl behind the flagbearers wearing a helmet for riding? To me it just seems odd. Their playing aswell was a bit out of order, the drums especially were not following eachother at all. They lack ensemble practice in that department.
Die Amerikaner, die hier kommentieren finden es aber anscheinend grossartig... ;-) Na ja, sie haben auch Trump als Präsident, da ist also ein klares Pattern zu erkennen! :-D
I lived a few blocks from this school growing up in NYC. It was a more "exclusive" girls catholic school in the 70s and 80s in what is still a quiet corner of Washington Heights. Then mostly became more "diverse" and closed their doors for good a few years ago. As for this video, really a subpar performance compared to even my small town high school band here in the South.
