  • Close up look at two very good hammer fired, polymer framed carry options.
    CZ’s P07 and the P2000 from HK.
Do you have experience with both? If so - which is your favorite?
    Thanks so much for watching!

I was in the USAF for 15 years in the Security Forces/Combat Arms Instructor career fields, so lots of firearms experience. I've had a CZ 75B Omega for a number of years and it's hands-down my favorite pistol! I picked up a Sig P320 AXG Carry (all metal LEO/First Responder model) and lived it. It was just too heavy for all day CCW. I sold it last week and wanted a good quality, hammer-fired, polymer-framed pistol that was a proven excellent model for CCW and home defense. I keep coming back to the CZ P-07, so bought one! I have not put any rounds through it yet, but can't wait. With the money I saved, I'm upgrading some of the internals and I have a set of Dawson sights and Talon grips on their way! It should be a tack-driver!

I have substantial respect for both H&K any CZ autoloaders. Perhaps the finest semiautomatic I own is an H&H USP Tactical, chambered in .45 ACP. BUT, CZ’s - founded on the CZ 75B fundamental design - are (imho) the standard of comparison, especially for duty and compact sized weapons.
I have never fired a P2000, however, I have thousands of rounds experience with my P-07 . . . and it has factually been flawless. It is extremely accurate, reliable, durable, with superb ergonomics, and its retail price is affordable. It’s a weapon that will last for generations, will exceed all expectations, and it has the ideal “Goldilocks size:.” The P-07 is small enough to be comfortably and easily concealed, yet it is large enough to serve as a home defense or duty weapon, it has a barrel length / sight radius that provides better muzzle velocity and practical accuracy than do the mini-compacts, and it offers 15+1 capacity (without any alterations to the factory magazines).

Shooting my friends p07 made me fall in love with CZ. Ended up buying a p01 for myself. Shooting my friend's VP9 made me fall in love with HK. My first HK was a p30sk. The first of many. Need I say more 😉

Oh this should be great. I’ve always been really curious about the P2000, and the CZ P07 is probably the best price/quality gun on the market!

P07 has been on the want list for a SA/DA ccw for a couple years. Would grab one up tomorrow if CZ could update the p07/09’s - maybe factory optics cut? These old eyes made the switch to optics and Im not about to switch back. Flat trigger snob too.

CZ for the win imo. The P30 line is really nice as well. Still holding out on a P30s in .40
