During the blood sweat in tears era, jimin got alot of hate, people hated him for his body and body shamed him. There was a picture he took in which his eyes seemed teary like he had cried before taking the selfie. I’m glad that these days he doesn’t let the hate get to him, he does what he wants and doesn’t let the hatred make him feel down. Jimin doesn’t deserve the hate he gets.

Because it showed that BTS had sold more records and had better chart performance than EXO, Twice and Taeyeon who are all artists from the Big 3. After the release of the Wings album, BTS just exploded in popularity and success to the point that there was (and still is) a massive gap between them and other groups in terms of awards, milestones, record sales, song streams and video views. I'm not just talking about kpop groups either. They are the most popular group in the entire world including western acts like Imagine Dragons, Coldplay etc.

I can't go through all the comments because there's a lot so I don't know if anybody mentioned it already but you need to know that Army did fight with them from the beginning. These two awards, the Album of the Year and Artist of the Year are won by combining points from the charts, sales and one of the component is votes from the public. If you never voted for a kpop award you will never know that it's an effing battle. A real battle. You need to be persistent, collect voting tickets for weeks for example by watching ads every ten minutes, doing tasks on different apps, login every day, level up during the year because higher the level, more voting rights you have... It requires your time, dedication and hard work. When voting season comes for these year-end awards, it's a second full time job. Nothing like the Western awards, where you go there, click a button, done. Kpop voting is a cut-throat scene so when the guys said they know Armys worked hard for this award, they mean it literally. We work freakin hard for these awards to do our part of the equation.

Okay, so I know Jungkook was the one singing Rainism but I stand firm in my opinion that j-hope ate that performance up. If you watch his fancams and the Bangtan Bomb recording...OOF. As Hoshi from Seventeen said on Suchwita, bts started the trend of doing huge performances at award shows, to the point where some of these performances like MAMA 2017, MMA 2018, MMA 2019 and MMA 2020 are considered legendary and a bible for rookie idols.

20:00 when I was a young teen I had an epiphany about beauty. I used to be insecure, and then I noticed famous people I do not find attractive but everyone else did. And looking around at normal people, my family & friends & just randos, I wasn't attracted to everyone they thought was hot. So I realized beauty really is subjective and for every person out there, I believe someone else out there will think they're hot. I finally understood what "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" meant and I ceased being insecure. About my looks at least. I think I'm beautiful. And it's ok if others don't agree, but there are people out there who do agree. And I now feel that way about everyone. You are all beautiful too. Everyone has something to offer someone out there. 💜 Eta, justin is right, diversity is great. If everyone were just like me id hate it. Its our differences that make life interesting. I just wish the world were more understanding and accepting of that. We need more empathy, kindness , & understanding in this world towards our fellow humans, and less hate and judgement.
Eating disorders are sooo big in the kpop community, among fans and idols. For example when I started watching kpop I started getting insane amounts of diet and ED content recommended to me, because that's what is often watched together with kpop content... There's also the "Wonyoungism" trend which is basically just ED Tumblr wrapped in a pink bow.
I remember these past years that BTS's members has been dealing with their workaholic and theirs liability for carrying heavy crown as representative of kpop in the world that made them suffer so bad but yet they don't wanna quit since they really love to be BTS itself. That's why I feel at ease when they have a break, or in hiatus that time, it's so sad to imagine how heavy the crown is. That's also the reason me as ARMY won't ever as for new comeback, yet I will support when they decided to have it. It's just me, I don't know about other ARMY

So true. I have noticed this particularly with younger fans of some 4th gen idols. I recently came across a UA-cam channel of a Wonyoung fan who was posting extreme diet videos. A lot of Wonyoung fans seem to idolize her skinny frame and have accounts promoting pro-ana culture. It really leaves me worried for the younger girls.

But don't listen to music much yet, so you don't know but Intros to albums are usually solo song, like here Jhope had it, last two intros were Suga and before that was rap line intro and before that was RM alone for 2 albums, so yeah.... ehhh... they always SAY they're going to stop with the crazy dieting, but they never have... not really. 😭 In their most recent documentary, jungkook revealed that he was getting regular IVs for appetite suppressant during his Golden promotions, and he had a dietician prescribing vitamins and special tea as meal replacements. And back when Jimin was promoting Face, he talked nonstop about how much he was starving himself. He had an insane goal weight of 50kg (110ish lbs) for his video shoots, so yeah... it's a safe bet he was subsisting on IVs too. It’s so sad. They are under such intense pressure to be flawless, and they are perfectionists to boot. I don't think they'll ever stop obsessing about their weight.

I am certain he brought it up during, like, livestream content in Face era, but I can't remember specifically when or where--there was so much content from jimin around then! I do remember him making that joking instagram post of him crying over fried chicken and ramen because he couldn't eat them. the other members found it hilarious--that sort of thing is normal for all of them, unfortunately (and all idols, probably... it's just the culture). as for the IV thing, it's true he hasn't said anything so I shouldn't assume. but it's not really a stretch to imagine that if one member is doing something, probably more are too. especially "you are me I am you" jimin and jk who are known for copying each other, lol

This is the time I have to recommend songs from the album 'Wings' like I do in other videos but I am having such a hard time deciding which ones to pick 😩 I will recommend "first love", "begin", "am I wrong", "2! 3!", "mama" & "stigma" (yes I am recommending half of the album)
Jungkook in that Rainism performance was something different (P.S. It isn't their song, it was very famous back in the days as Rain- the original singer of the song was very popular back then..Many famous celebrities like IU also covered the song) I got to really appreciate the lower and deeper tone of Jungkook in this performance..His expressions- that seductive yet playful gaze, his dance movements, his dance with the cane and his voice, it was like pied piper lol..Definitely the best Rainism cover that I saw and definitely one of my favourite covers by BTS too..Centre Jungkook is always amazing..

Bang didn't do this,with diet. He left it up to the guys until Jin, and others made themself sick. JIn got Jimin to eat better. Jimin has a problem due to the haters from middle school on until just a couple years ago. Jimin was much to skinny for his Face debut. No muscles left on him at all except for his legs. It was so sad to see him so thin. He looks so much better now, in the Military. When you eat nothing, your body tries to hang on to fat as it has nothing to burn, also muscle weighs more so if you are getting fit and healthy, you could gain a bit before you loose. Big HIt now has a nutritionist on staff , I have no idea if hybe does.

06:20 they ALL have their solo tracks within bts album. they usually have a few ot7 tracks, only vocal line track, only rap line track, sometimes if we're lucky unit(duo/trio) tracks, and 7 solo tracks for their full albums. its not exactly their original single but rapline just have a bigger contribution (composing/producing and/or writing) in the track theyre singing atp in their career.
I can't go through all the comments because there's a lot so I don't know if anybody mentioned it already but you need to know that Army did fight with them from the beginning. These two awards, the Album of the Year and Artist of the Year are won by combining points from the charts, sales and one of the component is votes from the public. If you never voted for a kpop award you will never know that it's an effing battle. A real battle. You need to be persistent, collect voting tickets for weeks for example by watching ads every ten minutes, doing tasks on different apps, login every day, level up during the year because higher the level, more voting rights you have... It requires your time, dedication and hard work. When voting season comes for these year-end awards, it's a second full time job. Nothing like the Western awards, where you go there, click a button, done. Kpop voting is a cut-throat scene so when the guys said they know Armys worked hard for this award, they mean it literally. We work freakin hard for these awards to do our part of the equation.

Okay, so I know Jungkook was the one singing Rainism but I stand firm in my opinion that j-hope ate that performance up. If you watch his fancams and the Bangtan Bomb recording...OOF. For me, it was the first time I met Jay (his sexy, powerful alter-ego). His expressions and the strength of his pops are just next level. I have so many GIFs of his performance saved on my phone. Haha yeah, for a while I couldn’t figure out the Rainism song either - the performance is a cover of a song by Rain, who at the time of the song’s release was one of Korea’s biggest stars. I was always a bit bemused by it, but came to appreciate the spectacle following the BTS cover. 28:26 oooh bts are industry famous for creating movie-level performances for the end of the year shows. they are huge visual and audio treats as you often get amazing sets and new remixes plus new choreo with a huge troupe of dancers making it the most anticipated moment of the night (even antis make sure to tune in😂). As Hoshi from Seventeen said on Suchwita, bts started the trend of doing huge performances at award shows, to the point where some of these performances like MAMA 2017, MMA 2018, MMA 2019 and MMA 2020 are considered legendary and a bible for rookie idols.

20:00 when I was a young teen I had an epiphany about beauty. I used to be insecure, and then I noticed famous people I do not find attractive but everyone else did. And looking around at normal people, my family & friends & just randos, I wasn't attracted to everyone they thought was hot. So I realized beauty really is subjective and for every person out there, I believe someone else out there will think they're hot.
I finally understood what "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" meant and I ceased being insecure. About my looks at least. I think I'm beautiful. And it's ok if others don't agree, but there are people out there who do agree. And I now feel that way about everyone. You are all beautiful too. Everyone has something to offer someone out there. 💜

Eating disorders are sooo big in the kpop community, among fans and idols.
For example when I started watching kpop I started getting insane amounts of diet and ED content recommended to me, because that's what is often watched together with kpop content...
There's also the "Wonyoungism" trend which is basically just ED Tumblr wrapped in a pink bow.
I remember these past years that BTS's members has been dealing with their workaholic and theirs liability for carrying heavy crown as representative of kpop in the world that made them suffer so bad but yet they don't wanna quit since they really love to be BTS itself. That's why I feel at ease when they have a break, or in hiatus that time, it's so sad to imagine how heavy the crown is. That's also the reason me as ARMY won't ever as for new comeback, yet I will support when they decided to have it. It's just me, I don't know about other ARMY

So true. I have noticed this particularly with younger fans of some 4th gen idols. I recently came across a UA-cam channel of a Wonyoung fan who was posting extreme diet videos. A lot of Wonyoung fans seem to idolize her skinny frame and have accounts promoting pro-ana culture. It really leaves me worried for the younger girls.

ehhh... they always SAY they're going to stop with the crazy dieting, but they never have... not really. 😭 In their most recent documentary, jungkook revealed that he was getting regular IVs for appetite suppressant during his Golden promotions, and he had a dietician prescribing vitamins and special tea as meal replacements.
And back when Jimin was promoting Face, he talked nonstop about how much he was starving himself. He had an insane goal weight of 50kg (110ish lbs) for his video shoots, so yeah... it's a safe bet he was subsisting on IVs too.
It’s so sad. They are under such intense pressure to be flawless, and they are perfectionists to boot. I don't think they'll ever stop obsessing about their weight.

(I know he talked about a weight goal, but as far as I know he was just eating healthily and training a lot which obviously caused his weight to drop. Still, it's not the same as starving yourself).
@@Human-pe9vd hmm... there were several times he brought it up... off the top of my head, a big one was right before Face, when he was doing Vibe with Taeyang. in the behind the scenes for the video shoot, he mentions several times about how hungry is is but how he can't let himself eat, and complains about his weight. I am certain he brought it up during, like, livestream content in Face era, but I can't remember specifically when or where--there was so much content from jimin around then! I do remember him making that joking instagram post of him crying over fried chicken and ramen because he couldn't eat them. the other members found it hilarious--that sort of thing is normal for all of them, unfortunately (and all idols, probably... it's just the culture).
as for the IV thing, it's true he hasn't said anything so I shouldn't assume. but it's not really a stretch to imagine that if one member is doing something, probably more are too. especially "you are me I am you" jimin and jk who are known for copying each other, lol

And ofc they have dieticians and the likes who take care of them thats absolutely normal for people of bts' caliber. Like for goodness sake Beyonce has dieticians, cooks, physicians and more in her team as well.
They still do diets but dont eat 1 meal in calorie deficit starving themselves, they dont do that sht. They diet normally and they exercise. The guys r healthy and know how to take care of themselves, tbey r not stupid......And not you taking Jungkooks IVs out of context because you know damn well how packed his schedule was during Golden especially because it was just a month before him going to the military with the rest of the members. Yoongi also said he had to go to a hospital to get IVs in late 2022 when he was working on D-Day because he was going too hard. Those IVs they do is to boost them when they r feeling tired to help reboot their system in a way. Regular people not in the industry do them in Korea too (probably other countries as well)
As for Jimin for Face he wanted to be in the 50s kgs aka 50-59 kg range.....he never said he wanted to be 50kgs 🥴🥴 also hes a contemporary dancer. weight plays a part in a dancers life, who knows maybe he wants to be a few kilograms lighter when he does promotions because its more easy on his body and thats just what HE prefers. Youbr in no position to talk any which way about them like thats such an ugly behavior. The guys r healthy FULL STOP

It isn't their song, it was very famous back in the days as Rain- the original singer of the song was very popular back then..Many famous celebrities like IU also covered the song) I got to really appreciate the lower and deeper tone of Jungkook in this performance..His expressions- that seductive yet playful gaze, his dance movements, his dance with the cane and his voice, it was like pied piper lol..Definitely the best Rainism cover that I saw and definitely one of my favourite covers by BTS too..Centre Jungkook is always amazing..

Bang didn't do this,with diet. He left it up to the guys until Jin, and others made themself sick. JIn got Jimin to eat better. Jimin has a problem due to the haters from middle school on until just a couple years ago. Jimin was much to skinny for his Face debut. No muscles left on him at all except for his legs. It was so sad to see him so thin. He looks so much better now, in the Military.
When you eat nothing, your body tries to hang on to fat as it has nothing to burn, also muscle weighs more so if you are getting fit and healthy, you could gain a bit before you loose. Big HIt now has a nutritionist on staff , I have no idea if hybe does.
You body shaming Jimin was completely unnecessary. He was just fine body-wise and even if he was on the slimmer side, it's none of your business. Sometimes it's better to shut up than to say something like this.
I don't think the op had any bad intentions..They said the truth..Jimin did look a bit skinnier which made us all worried..We all know that he was the one who went through the diets the most...I don't think there is any need to be aggressive for that..They didn't body shame him at all..Please don't use such sensitive and heavy words where they are not being discussed

It is literally body shaming when op brought up and highlighted Jimin's weight unnecessarily in a negative light (his/her wordings weren't positive/neutral for the most part). Jimin's been saying for years that he doesn't go on strict diets anymore and that he eats healthily. more than any other member, Jimin underwent such a dramatic physical transformation in this era... he lost the muscles and became waif-thin, his jawline and features sharpened way up, he embraced the platinum blonde... somehow he transformed himself into some sort of ethereal fae being. 🤣 he finally started leaning into his androgyny and allowed himself to be soft and pretty instead of trying to maintain that fake, aggressive hypermasculinity that was never a good look for him.
