If we’re going for name calling argument again, let’s consider that Samsung always copies and mocks Apple for, only to crawl around months or years later and blatantly rip off. Remember, companies are not your friend, they want your money.
The flat screen is exactly what I've been wanting from Samsung. I've never had an iPhone but the fact that it has a flat screen was such a big win for them imo. I also prefer the rounded edges over the box look of the Galaxy's. How exciting.
I just switch to iPhone so for me there no improvement or innovation of 24u worth changing. Apple marketing % improvement over last year. Now samsung copy, Apple titanium Samsung copy , Apple use back old design samsung also copy, make some special name for feature like Apple samsung copy .
Funny enough ... the curved screen is the exact reason i i would never get the s24 ultra ... i love samsung phones and the s23ultra is my current phone but i have gotten so used to curved screens in the last years that could never live with a flat screen again... if it stays flat in the 25 generation I'll have to switch from samsung for the first time unfortunately
@@Telethanah bro curved displays suck ass that's why Samsung has been gradually removing it. I have a S23 Ultra and wish it was flat 😅 though im happy it's less curved than my S8 and the S6

Samsung's like the gatekeeper for phones released every year, they release an absolute powerhouse every January, and watch as everyone else plays catch up.
disagree, processor wise they have to wait for qualcomm to release somehting to try to keep up with iphone, and they copy a lot from the chinese phones.
@ralphyvargas4476 again. Samsung makes the parts for both. Samsung is a South Korean manufacturing company. Google and apple are american companies. Phones aren't even samsungs top priority. And you're wondering why the company who makes many parts for Google and iPhone is a make up of both? It's more like Google and Apple are split versions of a Samsung with their on OS/UI
I honestly like the fact that they've found something else to focus on and further develop other than the camera. The AI features will be awesome maybe in a few months.
I watched the keynote and was impressed with the AI and the phone, then watched MKBHD's impression and felt the phone has minor upgrades and then watched Arun's video to fully appreciate the phone, again! Amazing job Arun!
Apple is doing all these years is nothing but gimmick in terms of updates, some may called it minor updates, but Samsung does innovation 💡 its every minor updates and major updates enhances performances and productivity
I've watched several videos about the S24 in both English and Spanish and this has been the absolute best and most informative of them all. Well organised and easier to watch too.
I have had Samsung phones in the past, but that was moons ago, been with apple ever since and I am so bored!! Watching this? Seeing all of these features? I am taking the plunge!!!!
@@DragFlor idk, most on device AI stuff probably requires lots of hardware power. Plus often times its not that easy as it sounds to port software from one device to another

heyjo, German here, the translation at 18:43 has at least three grammatical mistakes and sounds super weird, it feels like the idioms were translated word-by-word^^ Goes to show how difficult some phrases are to translate and how much you need to understand about someone's intentions behind a text to be able to properly translate it. Not yet the yellow from the egg, but the consistent drop carves out the stone (just to give you a rough idea of how the translation feels like, these were two german idioms that roughly translate to "it's nothing special yet, but it's gonna get there eventually")

Yeah been w Samsung since Note2 then Note5 which was the first curved screen for me and then 2yrs later the prettiest phone I have ever seen from Samsung came out, Note7 it was a thing of beauty and then Samsung asked for it back cause exploding batteries, I downgraded to Galaxy Edge7 a much smaller device, then upgrade till Note9 and been w it since... I will save money for a few months and idk might upgrade to this one if they offer good money for my old phone or just go and jump ship w the 15pro max or wait till the 16pro ultra or whatever they gonna call it and upgrade since I wanna try something new and integrated
Yeah I have a Iphone and just in general I dislike round screens a lot. Because Im a clumsy mf so I drop it often. But one thing that I dont like is me buying a screen protector and having to choose between: a nice looking round screen protector or a flat one that looks ugly and doesnt cover the whole glass but is like 10x stronger.
@juusokankaanpaa4062 man, that's me!!!!! I have an S23 Ultra, and I thought there wouldn't be a problem if I didn't use a screen protector. My phone fell off my pocket while dancing and now the screen is scratched and the curved zone is missing a glass piece.
@@elestudiodebuenavista628 I had the 23 Ultra for 2 months (preordered last year) and it was stolen right from my hand in Peru. I paid almost retail for a new 23 Ultra days later. (That hurt $$$$$). I couldn't find a true glass screen protector for the curved 23 ultra, dropped my phone one time in a parking lot, and put a big scratch on the screen.
The only thing I'm asking myself is why is he going to ask Samsung for weird and clearly visible advertisment "words" where U know hes not getting an awnser for. But if a new iPhone is coming no one talks about the 20 different weird variations of clearly marketing based "words" that they are using...
All big companies sends them their flagship phone a week before release and they record it and keep their video in private and as soon the event starts and introduce their flagship they release the video to public
Basically, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra's ProVisual Engine is mind-blowing Enhanced OIS for sharper images advanced video recording with top-notch noise reduction and AI-driven photo editing really set it apart The instant slow-mo and SuperHDR with live preview are icing on the cake for camera buffs Samsung is definitely raising the bar with this one 📸👍
@@bcw686 they said at the event that previous select models will get all the features that can be given, most likely the S23 series, and flip, and fold 5. Possibly the S22 series
Yea but ProRes LOG makes anything "AI" meaningless because nothing can match properly recorded and color graded footage. Sure it's not as "easy" or "fast" or "sexy" but the result are so worth it.
S23 ultra was probably the first ever android device that showed proper domination and competition over two generations of iphone. And with the S24 series, samsung just widened that gap
Maybe now he dictates the tone or set the frameworks for what to be in and not. Pretty sure, at this point he has helping hands to do some of the work in the videos.
Bro he writes the script for the vids one time he said that he puts his 70% of his time writing and no body helps him and he helps his team on the editing. This guy is a Masterpiece!
Pretty sure that most, if not all, of the A.I. features are the ones that were supposedly only for the Google Pixel Pros. Would definitely be great to see whether all of that works better on the Snapdragon compared to the Tensor.
And I suspect Google's partnership is because they'll start charging for the cloud AI at some point. So you're now going to be paying monthly for processing power
@@MuhammedChand I think the partnership was to get Samsung to build their chip so they had to give Samsung those AI features. It's barter. Ask for charging for it, I think they would probably have tiered levels. They'll get you addicted to the basic levels and then charge you for the rest.
Mrwhosetheboss, I hope that you not just surpass Apples' official channel in number of subscribers but, also hit 20M subs within the first 6 months of this year. All of us really appreciate your work and efforts. Keep it up.

Thank you for taking the time to provide an analysis of what the phone is. This is the 6th or 7th video I've watched on the release, and somehow only the first that isn't just a summary of what the phones are and what they can do.
Samsung has stepped it up big time on this new upgrade cycle. I use both Samsung and an iPhone - simply prefer Google's ecosystem and the less restrictive nature vs Apple's but I guess having both is a nice luxury..
Own an iPhone 15 Pro Max and S22U. I have used almost every phone from pixels to one plus to Rog to everything. But I must say I always return to Samsung and now for the past 1 year been using S22U. But I have to admit I never been so tempted by a Samsung phone before the S24U is a beautiful piece of engineering and. It's so much better. I love the fact that Samsung is refining their phones rather than doing the shit they used to do. Now they've perfected the phone i guess.
What I love about yearly upgrades these days that you can get last years model in like new condition for less than half price and be very happy with it not thinking that you missing out on many features
I saw 3 reviews before this one and yours is the only one that makes sense and makes things pop. I am not saying you are perfect. But you are so much more effective now and we have warmed to your storytelling.
The best of all reviews so far on the S24 Ultra. With these features, Samsung has again set the pace for others, especially Apple to follow in its next iOS 18. Nice work Arun!
an increase in brightness is always welcome and a great advantage. some HDR content is natively far brighter than most screens can handle so it needs to be adjusted for the lower nit screens. Increasing the nits isn’t a gimmick or only related to staring at your phone in the sunlight
Well, samsung is basically catching up to Chinese makers and Apple in this regard (Honor with 5000nits peak), more importantly they delivered a much more important improvement to normal brightness but still, it may just finally beat the iphone here since apple has a completely different (more realistic) measurement system for their displays...
@lukabosnjak3829 bro I literally have the s23 ultra and honestly speaking it's already stupidly bright. I personally think it's just something they do now to talk about specs. Even arun in this vid said ye already thought the s23 ultra was already crazy bright
@lukabosnjak3829 decent at best ?? Are you out of your mind ? Literally no reviewer has ever said that. And that honor phone u keep jizzing about has an outdoor brightness of 1800 nits. Meaning it's not that different from the samsung panels...
@@samo6083I a an s23 user as well and I agree with you, the camera , the display, the performance, it's all insane. It's honestly hard to find a screen protector though as it's been 7 months and I didn't get a protector but the screen is strong enough to resist daily drops here and there. It's a beautiful phone
i always have fun when you and mkbhd make videos about the same things and i can compare and see the different approaches. Usually, it's pretty tied, but this time, I preferred this video to mkbhd's on the S24 lineup. You seem more excited about it, you talk about the features in more detail and the video itself is snappier
The only feature that I'm excited about is the flat screen. I use the S-pen a lot, especially to smart select, and I hate when the pen slides off the edge of the screen.
THIS is my biggest pet peeve since using the S-pen on curved edges. I can never make a straight line or write properly on those edges, always needed to shrink the canvas. Not to mention the glare from bright lights on the curves annoying the hell out of me
@@MrA.Auzaie.A Thank goodness…I thought I was the only one who didn't like curved edges. Everyone talks about the "premium" feel of curved edges. To me, the combination of curved edges and glass make the phone feel like a bar of soap when it's at it's very end🧼… LMAO… The only curved edge I liked was on the Note Edge. I still have mine in excellent condition.
I'm upgrading from S22 Ultra 512GB to S24 Ultra 1TB (it was a great deal with Totum student discounts in the UK). For me, it honestly makes it feel like a worthy upgrade in all sorts of ways imo. I was tempted with S23 Ultra last year, but I was very disappointed with their trade-in deal and minimal design changes and the same damn display that my S22 Ultra already had. This year, their trade-in prices weren't too tempting either, but I will be giving my S22 Ultra to a family member to enjoy it for a couple more years. They kept using my old Note 10+ 5G until now. This honesty proves that Samsung smartphones can last several years, and they are worth it for sure. I had a chance to meet you in person with my mates a couple of years back at the OnePlus 7T launch event at Docklands, and I honestly appreciate you as an honest reviewwr and a trustworthy conent creator, Arun. I find myself watching your reviews first every time. Before anyone else, it's amazing to see your channel growing exponentially, mate. Keep up great work!!
I was looking to upgrade from S22U, but there's very little different with this S24U. The biggest disappointment is the front selfy camera is exactly the same as the S22U??
@Show_Guide I agree with you on this one. The front selfie camera has a lower MP count. Last year, with S23 Ultra, they changed it from 40MP capable of recording 4K 60fps to 12MP, which I considered as a downgrade in a way, but at the same time I never really used the full potential of high MP front camera in real life. Selfies were quite a thing a few years back, but these days, you don't really need anything more than that for social media, teams, or Zoom meetings. I'm looking forward to seeing if they actually make it up with new image algorithms. I actually care a bit more about having a 50MP 5x Zoom camera than this. I remember buying my S22 Ultra and showing off to my friends how much I can zoom from a sixth floor in a building.
A very HUGE con of Samsung Galaxy phones is that their screens will go bonk, with pink liine, green lines, lines, after 2 years + of use, it happened with all my Flagship Samsung, now I wonder if I should contiinue getting these phones since they cost a few ks, I would like it to last as long, not making the screen damaged and we need to keep changing them.
but one problem, as he mentions, the translation has got problems. i hope in a few yeard itll be refined and get better. its a great idea, but not great execution.
Can we just commend Mrwhosetheboss for taking production quality to a whole other level. You really blew it out of the water with the concise clips, information, animations and music transitions. Hats off to you Sir!
To be fair, most of the AI feature seems to be what the Pixels have been doing for a while, from last gen Pixels (magic editor) to years back (live transcription and translation). It's good to see Google finally facing some stiff competition in the smartphone AI space. They now need to improve their existing AI features, implement some of the ones Samsung is showcasing here (the circle to Google lens/ reverse image search seems like a no brainer), and also introduce some new AI tricks in the next launch. Excited to see how this battlefield shapes out in 2024.
I think that Google has something to do with those AI features, especially the recorder transcription, photo editor, ai wallpaper and page summary. It's a shame that Google enabled most of the features for the USA and pro 8 only. But well done Samsung, can't wait for Googles response to that as well.
So many of this existed before in one ui aswell. And i think the lens thing should be inplemented with google assistant or lens app so everyone will be able to use it there is nothing ai about that so why not.
Watching this again after S22 Ultra got the updates. Most features work same as shown above, except the slow motion video thing. I suspect it is a hardware feature and cannot be done in real-time.
This video literally feels like answers to specific small tweaks about this device that i thought no one would have addressed that earlier ( i love that Speaker outlet, Reminds me of my Gorgeous S9 plus)
Im so glad we are back to flat screens, i have shatted four Note 20 Ultras (while they were in otterboxes) and never once did i break any of my flat screen phones.
14:30 Can you hear it? All the AI stuff that has popped up in the last year is amazing, but the fact that Samsung is bringing it to the masses by including it in their phones, and integrating it so seamlessly and making it so easy-to-use really makes this phone feels YEARS ahead of the S23 Ultra. Can't wait for other phones to do the same and more.
I would be so interested in how the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, or another Motorola would look beside some other phones, cause I love their software. A Video about this would be so nice, love your content ❤
I'm still using the s21 ultra, it's just been updated with the new software, and it's great, soke of the features you talk about are now available on the s21 ultra, happy days
My S21 ultra is still rocking, with One UI 6, and it gets better each updates 😮 I think I will wait for the s25... or 26... but this s24 ultra is really tempting!!
No ....point...in ....waiting..... might as well get it and help the feedback so they can make all the improvements needed. Samsung will ditch an idea if people dont jump on it. They had so many great ideas go to the trash because people skip it and dont give it a try.
So what im hearing is the S25 is going to be insane Im getting excited for this year with all the tech that's coming out and even more excited for the future🔥🔥
Very informative indeed. Watched the whole thing. Clear, concise and you made it fun. You also bring up points that I wouldn't have thought to ask...Kudos. :) I have been waiting for this phone to come out (pre-order) as I NEEDED to upgrade, Yeah, we all need to upgrade, but my S8 battery has finally gone kaput so I held off on the S23 Ultra. This review helped solidify a purchase despite the cost. Cheers my man. 😁
I personally love the change to a flatter screen because it's a pain to get a screen protector that doesn't have an asterisk on the curve screen phones.
For design curved looks nice but day to day use it’s a bummer, especially using gestures for navigating phone and trying to use S pen is distracting the screen using the gestures in the curved part, now it seems cool like Sony phones
@BelajarBikinFont that's honestly the one thing I didn't like when I was ordering my s22 ultra. 7:49 I can't say I regret buying it because it has been and still is an amazing phone, and the curved screen looks really nice, but it honestly does suck using the s pen near the edge, or any type of screen control near the edge for that matter. And screen protector options kinda suck, although I did find one I can live with eventually. I don't really need or want to get rid of it yet, but they are giving 650 trade for it and with the other incentives I can get the new 512 gig model for 650 all said and done. Makes it a bit tempting. I still think I will wait another year or two but makes me wonder how much the trade in value will drop.
A very detailed review with high quality content. Arun has outdone himself with this one. After this one, which was incredibly descriptive, I'm hoping the review is more analytical of the features described in this video. Well done Arun, this is possibly one of your best!
So, I recently came back to samsung after a few years on iphone by buying a cheap(ish) s22 ultra second hand. Extremely happy with my purchase and will continue to keep buying used. The value you get is insane. Especially on the android side. Keeping my eye on the s24 ultra, will look for one used in about 6 months. Prices new have become ridiculous, I really do have better uses for 1.4k every year...
yeah i mean i have the s21 and upgrading to this one will cost me about 300 per line over next few years so not bad. i don't upgrade annually like some lol.

We never liked a curved screen, it made screen protectors a pain and created a light line on the curve. Flat screens were missed so much! And it has already been available for months on Microsoft Edge
an increase in brightness is always welcome and a great advantage. some HDR content is natively far brighter than most screens can handle so it needs to be adjusted for the lower nit screens.

I'm not ready to upgrade my s22u 512 to 24u I think 25u might worth the upgrade
I just want a galaxy.

@@adr23Thanks for your kind answer. Which Phone does it better in your Opinion for 450€?
I'm still using the s21 ultra, it's just been updated with the new software, and it's great, soke of the features you talk about are now available on the s21 ultra, happy days
Even thw AI?
Just got my dad a used S21, hes so happy with it, fast, nippy, great camera, as a Iphone 13 pro max user its a great value phone.
Lies. These features require new hardware to be able to use them.
Impressive work from Samsung getting better by the day. Focusing what others should be doing, software ! Well done
You mean what the Pixel has been doing for the last 2 years?
My S21 ultra is still rocking, with One UI 6, and it gets better each updates 😮
I think I will wait for the s25... or 26... but this s24 ultra is really tempting!!
About time you upgrade now bro, your battery 🔋 is trash 🗑️🚮
You have One UI 6???
My s22+ is still on One UI 5💀
I got the 22 ultra and I'm really thinking about it since there's a really good deal currently
Same here.s21ultra rocks! Even got the astro mode upgrade in camera. Also, still like that canera module over the recent one. Will wait till s25u.
No ....point...in ....waiting..... might as well get it and help the feedback so they can make all the improvements needed. Samsung will ditch an idea if people dont jump on it. They had so many great ideas go to the trash because people skip it and dont give it a try.
So what im hearing is the S25 is going to be insane
Im getting excited for this year with all the tech that's coming out and even more excited for the future🔥🔥
4:10, yep watching Avatar 2 movie on this phone will be insane!
Bro is so consistantly pumping out insane content. Imma need that secret formula to his yt videos because he just does it right!
he has a team of about 6 people working for him

Very informative indeed. Watched the whole thing. Clear, concise and you made it fun. You also bring up points that I wouldn't have thought to ask...Kudos. :)
I have been waiting for this phone to come out (pre-order) as I NEEDED to upgrade, Yeah, we all need to upgrade, but my S8 battery has finally gone kaput so I held off on the S23 Ultra. This review helped solidify a purchase despite the cost. Cheers my man. 😁
I personally love the change to a flatter screen because it's a pain to get a screen protector that doesn't have an asterisk on the curve screen phones.
For design curved looks nice but day to day use it’s a bummer, especially using gestures for navigating phone and trying to use S pen is distracting the screen using the gestures in the curved part, now it seems cool like Sony phones
true ! i hate curve screen that made me never buy samsung ultra . But now is time to buy
I loved watching movies on the curved screen 😭
bro just get whitestone dome glass like how is this an issue.
Awesome review i have seen of galaxy s24 ultra so far ... Keep it up Bro 🤛
I can really see how happy you are with Samsung now. I have never seen this happiness in your eyes as of now
You should marry him
He is not happy
He’ll be going back to the iPhone 16 😂
😂😂😂
@@jaybird7773 Naaa he won't. Will you Arjun?
A very detailed review with high quality content. Arun has outdone himself with this one. After this one, which was incredibly descriptive, I'm hoping the review is more analytical of the features described in this video. Well done Arun, this is possibly one of your best!
🙄😂 Settle down
Man this guy makes a 23min tech video really entertaining, big ups brother
"Hand Indentation" from your omniscient pocket-superComputer is the winner of this year's 1st world problems awards.
I've pre ordered my S24 Ultra tonight, purple, delivering next Wednesday, can't wait! Cheers! ❤😊
congrats am here trying to get my hands on a 12pro max lol
Those who announce their purchase everywhere do not actually purchase anything
@@antonydecosta6262 Ya, you can see that by seeing his other comments on this channel (by clicking on his pfp) 🙂
@@antonydecosta6262I'm just preordered it, but really I only dreamt of that.
And I'm here wanted a better android phone than my current phone so I can play asphalt 9 at 60 fps 😂😂
For the fact that it surpassed the IP A17 pro chip is absolutely insane 🔥
Is no one going to talk about how good the video was edited 🔥
Hello, my samsung s24 ultra arrived a few hours ago,wow wow wow, it's an absolute beast, really cool upgrade❤❤❤❤
Prove it! Send it to me. 😶
Always produces a video that has the capacity to make my day
So, I recently came back to samsung after a few years on iphone by buying a cheap(ish) s22 ultra second hand.
Samsung keeps dropping MAD designs and features ... I will like to get this soon
I love the new flat screen. For 2 phones over 4 years, staring at the dust and grime caught under the screen protector triggered me everyday.
1 on TRENDING!? Insane stuff, keep up the great work
So great that not even mentioning Samsung will start charging money for the Al features after 2025, no one seems to talk about this prob bc Samsung told them not to
@@fantasytky28 ChatGPT does the same thing for almost a year now, no one complained. It's always people like you who doesn't actually want nor even have the money to buy the phone. It's not like the AI features were the core of the whole phone. Once it runs out of free trial the phone will of course still run. Not like It's gonna die after. And if you have the money to buy an Ultra, you would also have the money to buy It's additionals. Simple. It's just like taxes, You buy cheaper you pay less, you buy higher you pay more. Stop talking these as if you own the company nor even have a penny to buy the phone.

We never liked a curved screen, it made screen protectors a pain and created a light line on the curve. Flat screens were missed so much!
AI isn't needed by most although the instant slow-mo and pre-recorded video could be cool. How often would I use it? About as much as the super zoom.
I would rather have a crazy bright flashlight and well loud speakers, oh and much faster charging.
maybe for you but for me as none native english speaker who needs to communicate in english for work i believe this amazing and much needed
To be fair Samsung phones don't need screen protectors.
Can't wait for a dedicated camera comparison for this phone!
I'm already disappointed! At 10x the image compared to s23 is bad. I guess I'll not be giving my money to samsung this year.
@@somaskanda2010 yea but not everyone zooms all the way to 10x. we, for the most part zoom in between meaning the quality is worse unless we go all the way to 10.
@@somaskanda2010 yes I was thinking about this too, they could have gone with something which improves their famous 100x zoom feature they have been developing for years rather than switching to half the optical zoom
Im glad samsung went back to the flat screen design. Makes finding screen protectors that work a lot easier.
It's great to see that the S24U has a flat front. Finding screen guards for the S23U that don't suck is a challenge! That's the only thing I wish the S23U had was the all flat front!
Keep in mind, any screen protectors WILL affect the new upgrades with the screen.... Such as reflection. A tempered glass screen protector will have glare in bright areas and so on
Outer box is all I use. Lol
The fact that he got 3 times more views than Samsung UA-cam account itself. They spent millions of dollars on creating their ad, here he delivered more info in half of the cost.
Kudos!
