I gave up on cooking a while ago, still nice to see your videos in regards to that. Here in NA there are so many people doing it already, it makes it really tough to justify cooking it, and I just pre order 1k special Valencia's at a time for cheap-ish and seems to work fairly well so far. On Bdolytics, when you organize them by profit per box (buying) it is based on the median price right? Which is white, and from there up it goes into red. So to hit the expected you should only want to buy median and lower, correct? Which almost never happens when I go to buy, usually seconds after checking Lytics, go to market and they will be 5 to 6 spots above the median.
I started with Drieghanese, moved to Serendia and am now doing Mediah. I'd say it's pretty easy, chicken meat and eggs are completely covered by nodes, milk is covered through daily Liana quests and exchange of witch's delight/imperial seals and the amount of pepper/onion you need is doable through farming. Only thing that needs some effort is red meat and blood but deer hunting and gathering have that covered as well. Profit seems fine, with all the optimisations I make over 1 bill per hour. Never really had the motivation to set up the necessary gathering rotations for Valencia plus I'd need to redo my worker empire. Fish also always seemed like a bit of a hassle so I never really understood the appeal of Balenos meals
I would say the stand out one is O'dyllita Meal, since if you go wolf hunting this one requires the least amount of active time and compared to the rest is the most efficient (only 15 meals per box). You can go for Byeot County Gukbap aswell. Then it's all about the third - either Valencia or Balenos depending on what you want to do ingame. At the later stages of the game one can easily cook to have enough products for months.
I would love to see a tutorial on the hinting (will have to check if you don't have that yet). As a rather new player (didn't reach LoML yet), I hear everyone talking about hunting and sniper rifle hunting, but I went to the sniper rifle deer hunting area near veila with a mattock, and couldn't even kill any dear. Getting close enough to hit them would scare them away. Hunting is also one of those lifesckills which is still at beginner level on my character.

I go for valencia meal because no milk and i already hunt shadow lion anyway might as well use the meat. Nutmeg and the other node thing are annoying but you can buy them for cheap on the market
How many meals do i need for daily turn-in? I want to farm stuff for like a year of turnins then only worry about cooking tjem everyday untill im stocked good
Settled with Mediah, nodes do alot of work, not very milk bound so witch delicacies can just get more, only really need 2 planted vegetables to be gathered occasionally, and being a sniper hunter, meat and blood are very easy to come by (on an activity itself already pretty profitable). A few percentage points of profit aren't worth going the extra miles for balenos or doing the horror show that is gathering for valencia, cooking pays pretty poorly regardless of what we try, which makes convenience/gathering/production times become most valued over anything else.

I would never do any hunting or gathering. Preordering the exotics meats is fine for Valencia meal. The red meats are even easier to grab from market. I suggest not forcing yourself to gather or hunt and just buy the mats from people who enjoy those activities

You shouldn't feel forced to do activities you have no interested in and if you're high mastery you can preorder the materials to cook your own guru boxes, but if you're low mastery you can simply buy the meals and turn them in. Also, if I understand you correctly, Gukbaps not being affected by mastery should mean that preordering the materials would be profitable even at lower mastery?

Depends on what your goal is if your goal is to gain gear and Combat xp, sure, go to quint and make 1 bil an hour. If my goal is to get guru 50 on all LS, then quint is not gonna help with anything except for troll blood gathering.

It really comes down to profit between Balenos, Serendia and Mediah. They're pretty similar in mats, Balenos just tends to be a little more profitable

Sniper hunting is LoML content. The deer outside of Velia are a bit of a meme
