don't have foam Canon but have the garden hose one. what you did is a no touch wash. came out good. sometimes you need to scrub with a chenelle mitt after using two buckets and water. with same soap. if it's still gritty you might need to clay bar it. great soap. looks good.
Snow foams are a pre wash. You apply to a dry car to allow the foam to dwell, then rinse with a pressure washer prior to washing your car using a wash mitt and bucket. Foams are purely intended to help loosen surface particles that would otherwise just be moved around on the paint surface with subsequent washing. Foams should only be judged on how well they pre-clean your paintwork.
As most have said snow foam is a pre wash no need to wet the car/bike. And yes it's a pre wash, so you still have to wash the car... unless it's a pretty clean car already... then i guess you can just do what you did, but not the intended purpose. Secondly, don't wash in direct sun light

It might work.. depend on your water. If you have below 100 tds then I'd bet it would work perfect. I use a DI filter for window cleaning. Rinse with the filtered water; no need to squeege, perfectly clean every time! Usually car washes use pure water for spot free rinses also but they probably rarely change the filter so if it dries spot free is a crap shoot. They also probably use RO filters to save money because they filter so much water.

A Foam cannons purpose is not to clean off dirt. It's just to help loosen particles. You have to hand wash it to clean it completely.
U still have to scrub it if you want it really clean. Also use air compressor or leaf blower to dry it
Yup ever since i can remember ive been using a foamer for mu dirtbike then pressure washing it after wards so its a great combo for getting rid of mud
