Hoovie's like a kid with ADHD whose mom dropped him off for free daycare at the mechanic's shop while she went shopping.
Should be the top comment 😂😂
He is terribly distracting.
You hit the nail on the head lol
That’s FUNNY right there!!!!!
Much like "Cable Guy" being babysit by a TV.
I personally love it when hoovie is on the wizards channel
Very much
Same here, I never miss either of their videos
Agreed! Keeps me from falling asleep due to the Wizard's soothing voice.
Great team 👍.
Lol oh man he gotd a good sense of humor

An 05.5 Jetta! This was one of VW's mid year model changes. For the first part of 05 they had the Mk4 style cars then switched to these. This was the first year VW offered the 2.5 5 cylinder motor. I bought one of these when they came out. It's actually a great engine. They really don't have many problems.
Hoovie and Wizard are essentially the same channel to me.
An optometrist could fix that for you in about an hour.
I look at the two as a cross-over channel
They are like the Laurel and Hardy duo
Just two of how many of the Wichita Kansas car UA-camrs? I know Car Ninja has one and there is at least one or two more based there.
Don’t blow it for us before they notice and catch on and stop I love 6 videos a week
Hoovie and Wizard have great chemistry. I love when they are together.
I don't know who would complain about Hoovie popping in on a Wizard video... I consider it a free bonus! The interplay between the two of them is very entertaining and usually quite funny. Or maybe I'm just "special" enough to appreciate it...

I came to the wizards channel from hoovie, my favorite videos of both of theirs are when they are together.
I like having Hoovie in these vids because it makes Wizard laugh!
The dynamic between these two is hilarious to watch. It’s an extrovert and an introvert wonderfully brought together because of cars, and it’s a fantastic spectacle!
Wizard literally is like the Bob Ross of auto mechanics tho.... it’s kinda soothing to listen to him, plus you learn a lot!
No sorry.
Bob Ross wouldn’t ask for extravagant amounts of money.
For the window motor. He said it would cost $1000
And the part was $4-500
That means he is asking $5-600 in LABOR
Just for one door motor.
Dude you can replace the part in less than 2hr easy. Even if you’ve never done it.
With no special tools.

He is annoying sometimes but they do interact really well- When they have these old cars, it gives you a good idea of what makes not to buy new. Massive depreciation and costly repairs.
Because he's on drugs

@@samholdsworth3957 no he's probably got autism
The window motor/door control module is a rare item to actually have fail. And you have to make sure it's not only the right part number but also the right "color code" based on the car's VIN number to properly match and be able to talk to everything else on the convenience system data bus (central convenience and electronics module, all the other door modules etc).
What IS common, however, is for these early mk5 Jettas to have broken wires in the door harness. VW had an extended warranty for them even because it was so common (but generally ends after the car is 10 years old or older). They have an updated harness that's a fair bit longer that supposedly prevents the harness from bending excessively in the same location, leading to eventual wire breakage.
While the extended warranty is long gone, they should still have the updated harness at a more reasonable price than a new door module.

Agree 100%...good for a change of pace in every day life.
I love when they are together. Gets me excited.
The 2.5 is a great engine, reliable and doesn't need intake manifold cleanings.
My sister had one of those, she bought it new and it immediately had oil leak issues.
She took it to the dealership five times and they kept telling her it was "normal" for them to leak like that and they told her to keep topping it up with oil which she did, even after the engine blew because of the constant oil leakage they refused to acknowledge that it was a serious problem until she threatened to sue volkswagon canada and they refunded her the value of the car new so she could go buy something better.
I love these. My mom has a perfect 2010 5 speed that she never drives. 50k miles on it. I have a 2013 Jetta 2.5 and its a POS rattly ass rough riding turd. These are great cars. I LOOVE the 2.5. They are very reliable and make fun noise. Decent power
Coincidentally, I had that same handbrake issue on a ‘98 VW GTI. Seems the little rubber boots at the rear ends of the cables had deteriorated, letting in water which would then freeze and lock the brakes on. I eventually replaced the cables, and it was actually a pretty easy job. Just FYI.
Who the hell hates it when Hoovie shows up in a video?? He's like the golden retriever of automotive youtubers.
This is the most negative, positive post I have read!
Having you two together on the video just makes the video complete to me You play off each other so well.
Mrs. Wizard..... Could you add the awkward stare of the wizard within your intro? PLEASE hahaha that makes me laugh EVERY TIME

I think Hoovie and the Car Wizard are great friends. You can tell from there chemistry together. Stay friends forever!!
I had this Jetta not too long ago, I removed the front fender to have it color matched to repaint the bumpers. In doing that I found tons of leaves and dirt behind the fenders which I can see to cause the “patina”.
Wizard check the wire loom that connects the body to the door the wires some of the wires are probably broken they tend to do that. Vw and audi theu all do that. I just fixed mine the person I bought my audi he said the window wasn't working he said he had it changed and was still not working but I knew what it was and fixed it. Let me know if it was that. Good luck.
Wow, Hoovie is strangely taking a lot of sips from that wa-

The only reason Wizard still lives down a dirt road is that he’s skipping the asphalt and waiting until he has enough of Hoovie’s money to have it paved in gold.

This is why I don't mess with Germans anymore. Complicate things that don't need to be complex. Love seeing Hoovie visiting though
i'm not complaining,, Tyler is a good add and a generally good guy. When my 06 Jetta buttons started bubbling i found all of the new replacements on EBay pretty cheap.
Soon, it will be the Wizard who advertises Hoovies channel.

Love to see the wizard show up on Hoovie's channel.
Hoovie and Wizard are like Law and Order.
"In the vehicle transportation system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups. The dealers who buy and sell cars and the technicians who repair the vehicles. These are their stories."

My 2012 and my daughters 2010 vw beetle have the 2.5. I did the vacuum pump delete kit on her car. Dealer wanted 1200 to do the vacuum pump. I did it 4 yrs later for 200.
Literally the opposite, lol. I love it whenever Hoovie shows up! Heck, I love it when Weeezard shows up on Tyler's channel!
I had an 89 Ford Probe GT have its driver side regulator cable fray and fail. The dealership told me it would be cheapest to buy a used door.
Apparently, in order to repair this regulator, it required drilling out all of the spot welds between the inner and outer door panels and then re-welding. They quoted me $600 to do it, and that was back in the mid 90’s.
Had a 2.5l rabbit and it was a great started car. Got rid of it before I had a big repair
That 2.5 is far more reliable than the 2.0T. I had one and had to replace all the hard plastic lines for the turbo and whatnot at 97k miles 🙃
Thank you weeeezard! I really enjoy watching you and tyler. In my health I’ll never get to drive nice cars but watching all the cool stuff you two bring in warms my heart. Kudos
Seriously, who doesn’t love Wizard and Hoovie together?! They’re like PB&J, they complement each other perfectly.

I'm on my second Jetta Mk5 now, first one was a 5-cyl-auto, a bit of a gas guzzler for city driving. Now I have a TDI-DSG with the PD engine, it's rock solid and gives me about 30 mpg city and 40 plus mpg hwy.
My favorite part is how all you guys cameo each other.

Wizard, that window motor is only around £20 here in the UK and Ireland, and it does not need to be coded to the car either, I have changed loads of these.,
Great channel and content
Had to dig for this comment, your absolutely right!!! and they are more expensive in the usa, oem $400, rebuilt or aftermarket anywhere form $100-200.
LOL on that window motor price. . . I briefly had a Jetta - late 90's. Parts costs were astronomical for that car. Things that would have cost me $100-200 for a Chevy or Honda cost $300-600 for the Jetta. Fun car to drive but not fun to keep running.

Hoovie's the kid that annoyed the hell out of adults. "Don't touch/open that!" He'd do just that.
I have the same year Jetta with all the same problems. The window turned out to be due to some of the wires in the driver side door wiring harness being too short so they get cut and stop working. The fix was to get a harness from a later model year parts car that didn't have that issue. It"s been over a year with no issues. Overall its been a good car and i hope to have it another 10 years.
I love how many drinks hoovie took waiting for wizard to say the price lol

Hoovie had his channel for quite some time, he bumped into the Wizard and did some business, and they kinda clicked, as some times that happens. He convinced the Wizard that youtube wasn't a waste of time, now look at the result, the Wizard's channel has gone viral, I wonder why... Together they remind me of the Two Ronnies, but with added mechanical magic... man I need a drink.
My first VW was an 07 Rabbit 4-door with the 2.5, it was a very dependable introduction to the brand. Two 1.8's & a 1.6 TSI in the three leased VWs following it, I recently came back to the late 2000 era with an 09 Passat wagon. Saving up for the timing chain refresh on the 2.0 gen 1 TSI, next year my local VW specialist shop will be $3k better off for my love affair with the brand.
