What a wonderful, tuneful, atmospheric and beautiful piece! I'm guessing that this, like the Gulda Concerto for 'Cello and Winds is one of your commissions. Can you tell me where this and the Gulda might be rented or purchased? One or the other is very likely to be played by the Victoria (TX) Symphony Orchestra next year, and I am the music librarian. Thanks so much.
A brilliantly original piece performed with aplomb. It was fresh and captivating and I enjoyed both the dynamism of the solo lines juxtaposed with, and against, the orchestral writing. Great musicianship and ensemble from soloist and orchestra. (And yes, your grandfather is a pretty good conductor - I knew him quite well in the 1980s - it was great to see you and him performing together in the 2020s!) One thought, for the composer, I wondered whether a double bass might not add an extra dimension to the overall colour and texture of the piece in some places? I said the same to Guy Woolfenden back in the day and......
Many thanks Nigel for your kind comments. It’s an absolute joy to be able to perform this wonderful music and with Dr. Tim to boot! We make our UK bow on July 10th in Northwood, tickets still available though no double bassist booked as of yet. All the best!
Wonderful!!!!!!
Many thanks Leroy!
Bravo to you all! Orchestra, Maestro and Andrew Reynish. ❤
Thank you Janina. Was a most special experience. Sensational band, sensational piece, conductor pretty good too!

Wow, Mark, I never replied. Sorry. This concerto is available from his website as he publishes it. The Gulda I must look up.. Best wishes.
