I have just purchased a FL2 and stumbled across your channel. Your videos are brilliant, informative and entertaining! I purchased the dash cam loom and received it today. It was installed in no time at all! Keep up the good work team Powerful 👍🏻
Received my super duper loom and fitted it today. Dash cam all up and running in no time. Super easy job. Thanks for a great product and at such a great price. Highly recommended. 😀
@@simonjefferson Hi Simon. Mine is a 2009 model TD4 XS and I got the Road Angel Ultra 4K dash cam. Oh, and yes, somehow I did blow a fuse LOL. So thanks for also telling us which fuse it was 🙂
This is an ingenious and yet a simple solution to hardwire a dashcam. Many thanks for coming up with this idea. I installed it and I found that it turns off after a period of about 3 minutes since the car is locked, which is a lot different to the 30min period you mentioned. Anyway, I prefer a shorter recording time after the car is parked.
What a fantastic idea! I wired my dashcam to fuse 17 and up the A-pillar, but I may move the connection to the "car unlocked" power wire while I've got my interior light off for my amber strobe switch install.
Brilliant product, straight forward fitting, had a problem with the little metal clip holding the light fitting to the bulkhead, held it in place with a dab of hot glue before fitting. Perfect thank you.
Thanks for purchasing and glad it works well for you - the additional 30 mins is pretty useful in many applications - no risk of running your battery flat but captures a bit of parked activity
Hi, bought your loom and fitted perfect, normal usb female. I have just upgraded my dash cam which has a usb c connection. Can I put a short usb c cable from the dash cam to the usb female to get power. Hope this makes sense.
Just purchased your loom, thanks for the video guys, they really help! I'd love to purchase one of your light bars for the FL2 roof rack, would you consider doing a fitting and wiring video for that?? 👍
Good video and commentary. Thanks for that. My freelander 2, hse 2014. Doesn't make clear which fuse controls the interior light. I have fuse, F54 mentions "battery saver circuits", vanity lights, glove box and upper console lamp. I don't have a data logger like you have mentioned so is it likely that the reference to battery saver is a circuit which shuts down after a short while? I assumed incorrectly that all circuits on this fuse panel would, especially my first choice windscreen washer. I did hardwire to this fuse before watching your video. It could be a coincidence but having left the car a week the battery was flat.
Hi Guys and Lily. I have looked on your web site with a view to purchasing said loom, but you state it is only suitable for "Freebies" up to year 2012 - Mine is a 2013. Do you do a version for those? (Incidentally great videos👍)
We had one customer complain it did not work on his 2013 so we restricted the sale - you are welcome to buy one and try it - i cannot see why it would not work from the wiring diagram etc.
Check the polarity, my 2013 Freelander has the red as --ve and the brown (from the double connector) being +ve. Check with a tester first to see if yours is the same as mine. My dash is working fine now. No idea why landrover changed polarity, if that's what they did! My dash cam switches off a few seconds after the car is locked but stays on for 15 mins or so if you leave the car unlocked. As Simon says " Good luck with that " 👍😊
@@badrallach4792 Just received the all singing all dancing loom for my 2014 Freelander 2, looks like they changed polarity on this too. Will try again tomorrow.
@@L663 Yes, in a circuit diagram, the power wire of sensor should come through ignition, but in my FR2 the power is always on, and I don't know where the problem is.
I did the hard way for my D4 and just jammed the wire along the windscreen, which keeps falling out! Could you show a best-cam route for the D4/D3 please?
Lilly is a good camera operator very steady and good zooming, well done

Just fitted mine (2013my), simple job after watching the excellent video, and works a treat! No more blobs of blue tack down my a pillar 🤣

Hi Gary - thanks for the comments. Out of interest what year is your car ? what dashcam did you install ?

Freelander 2 rules 👍
Oh yes she is not forgotten !
those wee looms you guys produce are by far the neatest way i've seen to tap into existing wiring

Glad you got it sorted !
Just what I needed but could never buy! Good work men..AH…but now..Good Work TEAM…Welcome Lily!!! 😀😀😀😀
I’m sure on the Landrover screen you can set the time value of DELAY - for how long courtesy lights stay on.
Very neat install and a setup
Fitted the wiring loom works a treat. Was worried about cam stoping on but as described it goes off after about 30 min.

Just ordered one of your looms. Cheers for the video 👍🏻
Awesome, thank you!
Many thanks for the detailed video manual. It's very useful.
The only question is - why is the steering wheel in the glove compartment?))
Top vid you fellas, , loom works great.
Keep up the good work.
BlueHound.
Fantastic guys, love these looms. Can you look into making one for Discovery 3??
Keep up the good work.
Nice product, nice work Lily too.
Thanks - we have Lily behind the camera at the moment but I hope soon to see her on the camera showing us how to do stuff !

Superb video guys - thank you 👏👏 Just wondering, can you recommend a decent dash cam to suit the FL2 and more importantly your wiring.

Cricket is over so I’m here. More mid week entertainment 😀
Thanks for one more video
❤️❤️🙏🙏
Most welcome 😊
Do they fit next base cameras? How do I go about getting one?
Hello anything for discovery sport 2018 and could you connect two cameras front and rear on same power outlet ?

Afternoon!

@@L663 I did watch your live feed yesterday! So exciting!
That George is a Super Hero of positivity!
Do you make a kit for a disco 3🤞
You can also use rain sensor connector to connect dashcam
That is interesting - I will look at the circuit diagram for that

Just waiting on the D4 version now
I hear you...
Anyone know if there’s a similar convenient feed for a dash cam in the *rear* of the Freelander 2
I did the hard way for my D4 and just jammed the wire along the windscreen, which keeps falling out! Could you show a best-cam route for the D4/D3 please?
We are planning on a loom for the D3 / D4 - let me work on that today
@@L663 managed to get anywhere on this one..?
SaaaaTNav!!
any progress on discovery sport version?
No - need to get onto the Disco Sport -
