Cool stuff. The Flamenco guitar fit great and the somewhat Middle Eastern vocal melodies in parts reminded me of Serj Tankian Armenian stylings. I think there's a 90s band code here: blink 182 - Breed 77 - UB40 - Catch 22 - U2 is Sum 41
Breed77 are one band that never left my playlist ever since the Cultura album. Just checked the CD and that was literally 20 years ago. They did kinda go away for a few years, but they're back this year and still sounding amazing. Not sure if the Flamenco is forced, they're from Gibraltar so it's kinda in their blood.
Gave me some FooFighters vibes. Nothing wrong with some rock with a metal edge. And I'm always in for some acoustic moments in between the wilder guitarwork. Nice and honest rock song.
That was a good song. I'm reminded of Allegaeon - a metal band who use flamenco in their work. Our tastes change...I used to like Avril Lavinge back in the day...actually, I think I liked Avril more than her music...but you see my point. Cheers Hedgy.
I have heard the name of this band before, could not say what the band had done before because I have not looked into their work. As Kevin mentioned, I was aware the band are from Gibraltar and there is the Flamenco influence across that part of the World, very popular in Southern Spain. I do like this track; I was expecting something bland but heard something interesting. Many rock bands sound bland to me, but this band are better than many I heard, well, based on this one song. This might be because the band are sort of new to me, and maybe because I have been listening to a lot of Italian Folk Metal bands the last few days looking for albums I might find interesting.
