Excellent review! This line is brilliant!!! What an excellent way to pay tribute to and reproduce 80s toys. Imagine a line like this for Thundercats! 😁. Tremendous work by Zica.
The packaging of this figure is great. I agree when a company goes the extra mile for its products that is a big plus. I do dig the scale and extra articulation for this line. It was fantastic seeing the Sectaurs revealed at this year's toy fair. I definitely plan on getting one myself.
Wow, I haven't seen the Sectaurs toys for a very long time, I like the blueish metallic color on them which makes them stand out amongst the other toys. Very cool review, thumbs up.
Michael, You were correct on the card backs! I think Zica did a phenomenal job on them. Colors and image on them are perfect! Man, I am so impressed with these👍😁
I got Dargon in last week but haven't opened him yet. I'm really impressed by the articulation and those foot magnets are such a great addition. I think I'll be ordering more characters I loved Sectaurs growing up and 3.75ish versions are so cool to see.
Because the original Sectaurs line was so small in terms of number of figures, there is room on my Sectaurs shelf for a few of these little guys. They look fantastic.
Thank you, thank you for your wonderful content. The surprise videos and your positive outlook in these scary times have helped many people keep up hope.
Michael Mercy You are a major blessing in my life and so many that grew up with retro toys/toons. My 80s cartoon/toy line character spirit animal would definitely be G1 Bumblebee.
I wasn't a big fan of the 3 and 3/4" scaled MOTU figures, but Sectaurs looks like it translated well. It almost looks like they were always meant to be this size. Really sharp. And the packaging evokes the mood of 80's era sword & sorcery, which fits this line so well. Absolutely love it. (Though at a $24 price tag per miniaturized figure, I might have to admire this line from a distance. My budget for new collectibles was gobbled up by the Thundercats Classics pre-orders)
Is that the ReAction MOTU figures? Yeah if you're going to shrink a figure down from original size, it should have some extras over the original like this one does. I understand the price has to be set at that because of the size of the run. They're not mass-produced and going to be showing up in Walmarts worldwide. Just glad they exist and hardcore Sectaurs fans have the option of if they want to save up for them.
@@MichaelMercy Yeah, I think it was ReAction. And yeah, the price-point for Sectaurs makes sense given the niche market for the line, and the inherent limitations of a small company that doesn't have the resources or advantages of Hasbro or Mattel. The economics just make it hard for those of us who are fans of all of these vintage properties that are being revisited this year - sooo much stuff is coming out.
So after watching this video, I remembered I had one. It was the figure with the red mustache. I remember "flying" it through my grandparents house , which is where a lot of my toys were kept. I dont think I knew about a cartoon or comic. Someone must have seen it in a store and gifted it as a birthday present or Christmas present
Dang it Michael! Why did you have to show me how cool these are???😂😂😂 I wanted one or two then decided not to get any but NOW.....I think I may have to get purple and blue bad guys!👍👍👍
Are the cardbacks the same size as the vintage Star Wars cardbacks or the super7 reaction figure card backs? Wondering if these would fit In star cases. Thanks!
Wow, he looks great, with some features much better than the original. I had one or two of them back then, they were really cool then, and these are really cool today! Thanks for the review, NERDMASTE'! 😊
I think the word you were looking for in the beginning was "embiggening". :) Seriously, this figure looks great and like another poster said, I passed initially but might have to rethink that now. I still need to get more of the vintage figures though and it feels weird to pass on those in favor of the new ones.
I’m weirded out cuz I do not remember the Sectaurs toy line or cartoon (if there was one) [haven’t finished the video yet] but this Dude is bad ass *i like it, very much so* #Nerdmasté 🙏🏽🆙👑
awesome review. I picked up Zak , skull solider and General Spidrax . you should check out my vid for those. they are defiantly worth picking up the whole line , those extra grip hands have a different hinge direction so you get two with in and out and two with up and down movements :) . the only thing they are missing is a stand it woulda been nice to get a small metal plate with the faction symbol on them but thats just nit picking on my part.
Thanks! Hope I can get a few more of these. Ah, that's a cool feature with the different hinge direction! A metal faction stand would have been awesome, but probably would have just driven the price up more since that's a pretty decent chunk of metal.
Guess I'm in the minority but I hate that they aren't in the same scale as the originals. Should have been same as original so we could use the new figures on the old bugs. Just my opinion but I'll stick with the originals.

Thanks! I think they've opened the door to a whole new slew of shrunk classics. Rambo, COPS, Bravestarr, Inhumanoids, Centurions...bring it on! :D

Still have my 80s Sectaurs. Loved those guys. Thanks Grandma.

Curses! I was going to let these pass me by, and now I feel them calling to me! They're great!
Got mine today. Absolutely awsome. Great video Michael
Thanks!

This brings back good memories
I think the 1:18 scale figure looks better on the dragon flyer...I did love the original, Dargon was one of my first figures. Great video!
Thanks!
Sectaurs were amazing figures back in the day. I didn't have any but a friend did and I used to be fascinated by them.
Heck yeah! Fantastic work as always, my friend!
Thanks Erick! Hope you're doing well.

Yup, it's not a 'collect them all' thing, most will have to skip some other lines to get these.
This looks great, love the reference to orange Cassidy
👍
Actually liking these!! And they look awesome on a large beast! Great review, thanks🙏
nice .I have some of these original guys! sweet
doing a toy check last few days and yes these guys are in my old collection in a dusty old box
Fantastic ! Waiting the review of the other figures from the Zica line !
This is a really cool toy line and for the record the cartoon miniseries with awesome too
Your vid sold me on ordering one just now. Hope the do the mounts and beasts eventually.
Beyond my budget had originals that's gorgeous
This figure is really fricking cool...💯✔ I totally dig it...🤘🏼

His name was Pinsor and rode Battle Beetle. :-)
The night / glow in the dark version with the firefly "jet pack" was my favorite non-GI Joe / non-Star Wars figure growing up.
A truly wonderful figure.
The bug's name was Nightflyer. Still have mine.
Dam, I gotta get one now; still remember when I bought the Marvel Comic w/ art by Texeria
packaging in great shape too
Dang it Michael! Why did you have to show me how cool these are???😂😂😂
I wanted one or two then decided not to get any but NOW.....I think I may have to get purple and blue bad guys!👍👍👍
What a great modern version of a classic
wow so great! love it

Thanks Gazz!
I had the Have playset and several figures back in the 80's. These 3.75 in figures are interesting.
I made a set of 3d printed insectoids complete with saddles scaled for these, I also made a generic insectoid (ant type) for army building.
The hair dryer heating tip should definitely be a mandatory piece of information on NECA products. Their plastic is so fragile.
Where can I buy this Dargon at now? I find him anywhere
Id love to see them in 7" scale ..
I think we already did in the 80's. :D

One of the biggest surprises for sure. I was going to pass on this whole line but this figure has totally changed my mind on the new scale.

Sectaurs aren’t necessarily my jam, but this figure is RAD! I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on Zica’s offerings from now on. 👍👍
Hope they get a chance to do the hand puppets next.
The Starcom had magnets under their feet
Ohhhh why haven't I heard if these before?? They're great.
You only got one figure? I wanted to se the rest in your review!
I wanted a crossover between Sectaurs and GIJoe in comics.

They fit the old mounts very well and in my opinion look much better on them in this scale
They are hoping to release some of the mounts in wave 3, so they will scale better if you don't think the originals work.
Look great wasn’t into the toy line
