Great choice. It was still early in the days when I bought my sub date, when you can walk into the AD and try on the Hulk. The green was flashy and beautiful, but it lacked something the black had. Walked away with the black. About a year ago tried on the BLNR, loved the thinner caseback and black+blue, had to have it =)
Larry Kippings as much as I fell in love with that green dial it just didn't look great with a number of different shirt colours. I wear smart shirt and trousers everyday for work and a black dial just works better. I did love it but as it's my only Rolex I needed one that suited all occasions.
1:35 For those who don't know...when Dylan says the bezel is the "same as the Kermit", he only means they are both green. Other than that they are very different. They're not even the same shade of green or made of the same material. The Kermit bezel is aluminum, matte texture, and more of an army green and the Hulk bezel is smooth, ceramic, and a brighter green. Love my Hulk...and my Batman! Tough to choose between the two.
Just bought this watch a few days ago from my dealer. I didn't think I wanted it at first, but it has grown on me. Love my Batman as well and that has grown on me as well. Both are very different and excellent!
I OWN both regular and a hawk and I found myself wearing a lot more regular ones nowadays and in the summer months I like to wear HULK when it’s sunny yes because of the dial and how it play with a burst of light

recently i forked out 13 grant for a 2016 submariner hulk because i'm sick of waiting for the past few years and finally decided to pull the trigger because i came across a watch collector who told me that as long as you buy the "right" rolex, don't be overly concerned that you are paying a premium on it as it is going to be more expensive as history of rolex had reminded us that this is a fact if you bought a right one, but if you buy a wrong rolex, no matter how you are going to lose money. In that instance, i realized that as long as there is an overwhelming and hungry demand for the watch, that should be the right one as compared to those that continued to sit in the display counters of those AD waiting for their time.....

Only color is different? Color combination is the most important thing, dude. Hulk or Bluesy. No black dial/bezel. If you don’t want to be noticed then don’t waste your time on Rolex. Get a Seiko or don’t wear watches at all.
It's very ugly and very heavy. Sculpted from an old, old design never get's noticed. Buy a smart watch or an Invicta or Omega those watches have the wow and now factor. With Rolex your really only buying the brand.

Nice. Very nice. Only issue, the 904L stainless does scratch quite easily. Been so careful with mine, multiple small scratches after 8 weeks.
I don't believe it scratches any easier than 316L steel.

Agree on the BLNR. Own both Hulk and Batman. After a while decided to just let go the Bat. Hulk for me

It's very difficult for copy watch maker to copy the bright color of the bezel insert.
Rolex makes great color with its own technology.
