Major props for making a video even while not feeling well! Thanks for all you do man. That aquarium was actually really cool and the price was amazing.
Great vlog Serg and nice Aquarium. Everyone who has been to Thailand at least once and probably knows that Thai cuisine is quite specific and unusual for our stomach. In this case, a white rabbit “flies” to our aid, which has been specially created and used for decades to quickly eliminate pain and abdominal cramps, as well as poisoning, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. Flying White Rabbit emulsion has been a real first aid for poisoning and stomach discomfort for over 70 years in Thailand.
Hi Sera....Sorry to hear about your food poisoning, hope you recovered by now. Last night in Thailand, really enjoyed the time we were here. Safe travels for the rest of your adventure ! Matt & Lucy...so to be state side......
I had very bad food poisoning in Romania lost 40lbs couldn’t even walk on my own and was on a drip in hospital. Food poisoning is no joke hopefully you feel better now
I got food poisoning in Afghanistan. I was constantly throwing up with explosive diarrhea (sometimes at the same time) for four days. I was in the hospital for IV solutions for four days before being released for four more days of bed rest. I lost 10kg and could only injust rehydration solutions.
Man I feel for you! The 1 and only time I ever got food poisoning was in Rosarito Mexico. I traced it down to a roadside shrimp cocktail I ate. Dude it knocked me down for about 2 days! Your definitely a trooper!
Wow this was so familiar! I spent a few weeks in the area last summer and loved it. In fact that 7-11 you stopped at is at the end of my lane. Haha can you feel nostalgic for a place you were less than year ago? I do!
Ohh no....food poisoning at 4am, that's really unfortunate, hope you get well soon...Good to have some medicine 💊 around when you need it...the aquarium is really good and educational too! The hotels accommodation are also very good, clean and modern too!...you are right Agoda may be cheaper than walk-in prices...thanks Serg for bringing us along this journey to happiness, stay safe 🎉😅
Thank you very much, Stephen. I got some antibiotics and some other meds from a pharmacy. It lasted too long to be food poisoning. I think I got some kind of a stomach bug from some bad ice. But I’m back to normal now.
Get imodium! Many of the pharmacies will not give it because its too expensive for poorer locals(like 100-200 baht) but many pharmacies do carry it! The charcoal plus antibiotics is an old school default in thailand that makes no goddamned sense at all(the charcoal just makes the antibiotics not work). Oh and you should have it with you when come to thailand with you. In the west you can find the imodium plus whatever variant thats better.
I hope you get well soon so you can enjoy your Roadtrip. I really like to watch all of your Videos but specially if You take us to a Motorbike Tour with You.
I am actually all healed up and filmed another video today. This motorbike series will last a total of three weeks so I should have at least another 3 to 5 episodes.
We always eat at that restaurant at Hat Khao Kalok and have never gotten sick, food always very fresh. It's the luck of the draw I think. I'm just getting over a week of diarrhoea after eating somtum Thai at a regular restaurant we use. If you get sick again, try the small packs of rehydration salts at 7-11. Our chemist said the ones you used are for sports rehydration, not when you're ill.
Serg in all fairness you done well to get on the bike and travel that far . Dodgy stomach , the heat and riding most of the day will take its toll. The hotels were nice . Glad you started to feel better after a good sleep and I hope you and the Bear didn’t cause too much trouble later 😂😂
You always stay at sych beautiful accommodations....you've got a real nack for finding them. I recently went to the caves in sam roi yot and found out I was in really bad shape...make sure you bring lots if water with you, wear good shoes, preferably hiking boots and just be careful...theyre no joke.
Hey Keith! Thanks for the heads up, that day I stopped there. I was in no condition to do any hiking. And now that you tell me that, I might skip them on the way back. Main reason is that I’m wearing armored protective pants from my motorbike gear when I’m off the bike and carrying, rather heavy backpack. So I’m looking for an easier cave to explore. As for the hotels, it’s really kind of a crapshoot. I stayed in places that were hole in the wall. You might like the hotel in the next video. It’s not fancy, but it’s perfect and the price was too good to pass up. Take care.
I’ve only had food poisoning once and it was in the US at a National Salad Bar and Buffet that is no longer in business. Wife and 2 kids had it as well. Not fun!
Get sum activated charcoal!!! I drive truck here in the states it saved m hid many a times. It is available in Thailand I look it up so next year when I retire there I’m not going to be sick. Good luck. I do enjoy your volgs.
Oh man, food poisoning can be bad but be thankful you got a mild case. As for that big fish, it is a giant grouper. I heard off California coast those suckers can be as big as 10 feet long! We visited a state owned aquarium in Malaysia last December and I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Not as nice as yours (although I suspect yours gets grant $ from the government due to its cheap fee) but it's free education for students who arrived in busses just when we were leaving. Greetings from Dallas TX.
This aquarium was in the middle of nowhere, I was shocked how nice it was. Apparently the one in Bangkok is amazing, so I have to go check that out. A grouper?! OK that does make sense.
what do you think the food poisoning was from? chicken fried rice? Hope you feel better. The aquarium was awesome. I'm from the Bay Area too and visited Monterey Bay Aquarium a few times. Thanks for filming inspite of not feeling well. Take care 🙏💕
I ended up getting some antibiotics and Imodium from a pharmacy. This lasted longer than food poisoning so I think I had some dirty ice. I am actually back to almost 100%. Glad you enjoyed the aquarium.
Appreciate the video. Happened to me too when I did a roadtrip to Krabi and the worse thing was we needed to ride to Kuala Lumpur the next day in almost 40deg heat. That was the most agonising ride I ever did. Did you narrow down to which particular meal it was that made you sick? Keep up the videos and ride safe!
Oh man, that does not sound like fun! Since it didn’t hit me till about 4:30 in the morning, I don’t think it was my dinner which was at 6 PM. Really hard to say what it was. But I’m all better now.
Look after yourself Serg! It sucks getting sick while traveling! I will be heading to Hau Hin soon, I've heard a lot of good things about it. Just a curious question, what is the comfortable max cruising speed you do on your ADV160?
I’m doing much better, thank you! The ADV 160 will max out at 117 km an hour, but I find it 100 is really the maximum that’s comfortable for distance. You’re turning about 8500 RPM at that point, so it’s definitely a bit Buzzy
@@LifewithSerg Yeah My ADV350 will handle siting on 120km all day, but its not comfortable. I find between around 100 - 115km to be the ideal cruising speed over distance. Glad you are feeling better now.
I've gotten sick a few times in Thailand from food or drink. Where I have never gotten sick eating or drinking is Malaysia. They just seem to keep things cleaner and more sanitary. Hope you feel better soon.
Loved the Aquarium Serg but agree Monterey is excellent. The Sea Condominium was great value but I suspect that have seen your video and put the price up to 2250 Baht. Still great value though.
Glad you enjoyed the video. There is many different owners renting through units at the Sea condominium. So the prices will very greatly. The second night there I dealt with the owner directly and paid him 1600.
Yes, I understand. Black is a heat magnet. However, almost all protective motorcycle riding suits are black. I actually stay very cool because I’m not getting sunburnt the whole time I’m writing.
I'll be retiring and purchasing a scooter in Thailand. An ADV 350 or 160. Mostly riding in town Hua Hin but will definitely do a few road trips similar to yours. I'm 6ft 2in 189 CM 225 lb just over 100 kilo. Have you been confident with the power and comfort on the 160 ? I'm sure it will work for me in the city riding but not sure the highway ? Thanks and keep up the great content !
I’m 5’11” and 225. I’ve had I issues with it other than some steep hills. If you’re going to live in Hua Hin, I would say go for the bigger bike. The reason I have the 160 is because of Bangkok traffic. Bigger bikes make it much harder to get through gridlock. In your area, that not a concern and I think you’ll be much happier with the larger bike.
Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it. Hua Hin is certainly not as congested as BKK. I think I might take your suggestion. Keep up the great vids. Enjoying your channel!
This is why I did not go out of my bike at night at all. As a matter of fact from Friday afternoon till about Tuesday morning, I did very little writing and always avoided main roads.
food poisoning is no joke, but the two bad ones have onset of symptoms about 6 hours later so many people mis-identify which meal was to blame. *I only had it twice/ but not sure which one. Stay safe, I'm on a Versys x300 here in the RGV part of Texas. **the other thing with food poisoning/ is it can come from any where for travel in Mexico sometimes even rinsing your toothbrush.
Like your vid 👍👍👍 im a biker but don't have one here in TH yet ... what's your bike and what's your review on it ... also is it advisable to ride there at night
I bought a brand new Honda ADV 160 last year. I’ve put about 6 1/2 thousand kilometers on it in six months. It’s been a great bike. I believe this is my fourth or fifth motorbike tour on it. Personally, I don’t like riding at night here unless I absolutely have to. The only time I’ll do it is if I’m a small village and I need to go get some thing. But I would not go on the main roads. Thais are some of the worst drivers/riders in the world. if you go back and look through my videos, there’s a video about me buying the bike and the first ride on it
@@LifewithSerg sounds good ... is there enough power / touque in the 160cc ... I've seen them here at 350cc , do you think it would be a better option for long distances runs 🤔
Hi just subscribed 😊 how is your honda adv 160 good to ride for 2 planing to buy a scooter honda or Yamaha Nmax witch has navigation on it not sure yet?
I think the Honda ADV 160 is much better than the Nmax. I’ve carried passengers on this bike, it’s fine. You have to go and look at both and see which one you like better
'Morning Serg, getting crook is sort on inevitable and part of life when living in SE Asia and eating in smaller local food stalls. I reckon a once a year average is par for the course, not so bad in the bigger scheme of things but, Christ on a Bike, no fun at the time!
eat Hot & fresh is the rule. 7-11 foods are high quality too next time, try "Koa Pad american", you won't see any where in america, only avialable in Thai. very nice food i hope you will get better soon, take care :) Oh if you arrive, Hat yai, MUST order "Kai Tod Hat Yai" along with "Satay" how can you get the name of the Chair ?
Yeah, I was surprised they did not have dual pricing. That was an awesome aquarium when you consider it was out in the middle of nowhere, and that price was phenomenal.
Gotta careful what you consume especially in the countryside bud. Most places that are not well known have their meats hanging outside for a long period of time so you really can't tell of the quality of it.
Food poisoning only takes a couple of hours. So I’m pretty sure it was either dirty ice at someplace in the evening, or perhaps the fish I had at the restaurant that night. Either way I’m feeling better.
Zoos and aquariums have long been passe. Most people are not into viewing incarcerated animals for their entertainment and somebody's profit, and that includes aquatic animals. My girlfriend is from southern Thailand. I understand you really have to be careful where you eat, or you may suffer the consequences. That is a nice bike tour you are on. Thanks for sharing. I hope you are feeling better.
I also have mixed feelings about zoos and aquariums. So I understand what you’re saying. I think in the end it was dirty ice that hit me. Thanks for watching, new episode in two or three days.
Just wondering why you are staying in nice hotels and paying so much just for an overnight stay? Easy to get rooms in that area for 500 to 900 baht that do the job for an overnight stay.
Oh yes, I have that as well. But I think in this case, it was more likely that it was dirty ice than food poisoning doodle several factors. I’m all good now.
What are you doing? Obviously your vlogging is far more important than your health. You have not got food poisoning you have exposure to heat ffs. Do you see anyone on the roads in Songkran on a bike? You have to seriously take care the vlogging not important. If you were never seen again on UA-cam who cares. Barely eat breakfast most important meal of the day. Helmet 😂
Wow, thanks for the unsolicited life advice, Captain Obvious! I'll be sure to consult you next time I need tips on how to adult. Meanwhile, I'll continue chasing my dreams while you chase the thrilling excitement of criticizing strangers on the internet. PS.. I love how you think you know it all and your outdated information about breakfast was actually funded by the grain and corn industry to have people eat more cereal. I hope you spend some time educating yourself, instead of trying to criticize people on the Internet and just make yourself look like a complete fool.
During the hot season, food tends to perish more easily. You should eat food that is freshly cooked and eaten immediately.. You should avoid food that is undercooked and left for a long time.. I used to have food poisoning and would have vomiting and diarrhea.. I hope you recover from your illness quickly..
Yes, the white rabbit works pretty well. I went to a pharmacy and got some antibiotics and some Imodium for the diarrhea. I’m pretty sure it was actually water and food poisoning. I am all better now. Thank you for your support.

I got sick, too in Thailand. Only eat hot cooked meat & fish. Thoroughly cooked food.
This is only my second time in two years. I’m pretty sure this time it was actually dirty ice. I’m all better now. Thank you.
In Sri Racha we stayed at the Ariz hotel for $34/night or 1200baht/night. It is a beautiful 14 story luxurious hotel.
That is good to know, I will check it out when I get there
Also ride in the back roads east of Sri Racha. Very nice country scenery.
😎👍🇺🇲
Great work Man.
Thank you! Cheers!
'Morning Serg, getting crook is sort on inevitable and part of life when living in SE Asia and eating in smaller local food stalls. I reckon a once a year average is par for the course, not so bad in the bigger scheme of things but, Christ on a Bike, no fun at the time!
Yeah, I’ve lived here for two years, and I’ve been sick twice. Which is no big deal. Fortunately I’m all recovered now. Thank you.
Cipro, carry it ,difference between crappy and no problem. But only take if the issue is longer term , meaning for 6+ hours
Yeah, I went to a pharmacy and got what I needed. I think it was more likely dirty iced than food poisoning.
Nice vlog❤
Thank you 😊
ช่วงนี้อากาศร้อนกินน้ำเยอะฯช่วงบ่ายอย่าออกไปข้างนอกดีกว่า
Thank you! That is very good advice
eat Hot & fresh is the rule. 7-11 foods are high quality too
next time, try "Koa Pad american", you won't see any where in america, only avialable in Thai.
very nice food
i hope you will get better soon, take care :) Oh if you arrive, Hat yai, MUST order "Kai Tod Hat Yai" along with "Satay"
how can you get the name of the Chair ?
I am back to normal! I thin it was dirty ice. Thanks for the Hat Yai tip!
@@LifewithSerg ice is the MUST avoid in thailand, buy icy drink from bottle is the best

I’m sorry, but Google Translate did a horrible job. Thank you for watching.

Hey, welcome aboard. I really appreciate your support.
The aquarium forgot to calculate the foreign visitor tax. 🤣 That's why it was so cheap. 😅
Yeah, I was surprised they did not have dual pricing. That was an awesome aquarium when you consider it was out in the middle of nowhere, and that price was phenomenal.
Probiotics and activated charcoal is a good treatment for food poisoning.
I think actually get sick from some dirty ice. I got some antibiotics and I’m all better.
Take ciprobay 500 for severe food poisoning. Antibiotic drug. Some street food vendors in Thailand is not so clean to consume.
It took me about a day and a half, but I got some good medication, and I was back to normal. Thank you so much for your suggestions.
Why not just pump yourself with gatorade if they have it at 7/11. It will be much fast active replacement of your essential lost
There’s too much sugar in Gatorade, unfortunately. I am pretty much back to normal.
Foods easily spoiled in this season in Thailand
I’m pretty sure it was dirty ice, and not food poisoning. Either way, I’m back to normal!
I went to the pharmacy, and got some medicine. I am 99% recovered. Thank you so much.
I used to eat the whole packet of those carbon pills everyday. Helped mildly but oh my god is it exhausting.
I end up getting some antibiotics and some other medication. It could’ve just been from heat, exhaustion or dirty ice. Really hard to say.
2000b must be mad I've just got a 4 star hotel for 600b
Good for you.
It must be very difficult to create content in hot weather now. 🥵
Yah, I’m cooked. Taking a day off to just chill at a resort
Just wondering why you are staying in nice hotels and paying so much just for an overnight stay? Easy to get rooms in that area for 500 to 900 baht that do the job for an overnight stay.
I prefer to stay in a little nicer places, and this is well within my budget.
I always carry Carbon pills and 500mg Ciprofloxacin on trips. One never knows when bad food can strike.
Oh yes, I have that as well. But I think in this case, it was more likely that it was dirty ice than food poisoning doodle several factors. I’m all good now.
You told me months ago you would bring that cute girl w braces back on. Ive been waiting Mr.
She’s been quite busy and I have 2 major trips back to back. Maybe in a few more months.
used car warranty, (3 years please )
SOLD!
I found you a Triumph 800 xc...2016 with 13 000km...
Ha ha. Those are nice, but riding cross country I’d want something with easier parts availability. That’s why I stick to Honda.
@@LifewithSerg oh yeah..I forget about the parts....you way too logical!..😁
Don’t drink ice or any of there bootleg water 😂
You’re thinking of China. Lmao.
@@LifewithSerg I’m not the one peeing out their butt;)
I have recovered, thank you so much! I now think it was most likely dirty, ice, and not food poisoning. Oh well.
Be well bro.
I’m actually all healed up, thank you!

Yes, the white rabbit works pretty well. I went to a pharmacy and got some antibiotics and some Imodium for the diarrhea. I’m pretty sure it was actually water and food poisoning. I am all better now. Thank you for your support.
