1°21′N 142°12′E / 11.350°N 142.200°E The Mariana Trench is an oceanic trench located in the western Pacific Ocean, about 200 kilometres (124 mi) east of the Mariana Islands; it is the deepest oceanic trench on Earth. It is crescent-shaped
It's cool that you included Death Road in Bolivia. I watched a documentary about it and find it terrifying. 300auto deaths a year is a lot, almost one per day. It's crazy to me that its still in use. Thanks Mike. Hopefully they'll push these videos out to more people, you guys deserve at least ten times the amount of view!❤
Mike, the Mariana Trench is in the Western Pacific Ocean, not the Atlantic, it's about 124 miles (200 KM) from the Mariana Islands in which it is named for.
My husband was in the navy, and was a sleepwalker - and yes, you guessed it - he climbed up to the top of the signal tower and walked off. Why am I posting this here? Because he was above the Mariana Trench when it happened!! Thank God someone saw him, or he would have been shark bait! After they rescued him, gave him a shot of brandy and sent him to Hawaii, they discovered that his subconscious mind was just as active as his conscious one. Got a Purple Heart before they discharged him 😃
Agree, and Mike's pronunciation Spanish and Chinese language places in this vid was superb. He goes to great lengths. I would, however, point out that Eritrea is pronounced "Er un TRE uh," not "Er RIT ree uh." At least, that's the standard.
Been in the LITTLE DESERT region for 40years. Near a National park. On a remote acreage. Yes. In that time, I have nearly stepped on a brown snake. Seen one other. A lot of redbacks under sheets of iron, dark corners. I have however, been kicked by horses, fallen off horses. Bitten by dogs and cats. Been beaten by humans... I'll have less trouble with the wildlife thanks! Greetings from Dimboola in Victoria, Australia.
Love your content. I believe the Mariana Trench is in the pacific ocean. Have you heard about the volcano that wiped out Pompei in Italy may be ready to explode again, causing a global winter? Yikes! Keep them coming Mike!✌️
I've only just discovered your channel within the last couple of months...You're channel is amazing! I was a regular "most Amazing top 10" watcher...it's nice to have a different channel to watch that is not all about spooky stuff..your content is never boring and has a much better list of variation for videos. Love both channels, but really really loving this one.! AND YOU'RE AN AWESOME HOST! Thanks so much for providing info which will likely save lives! Appreciated!! 💖
Yeah, props to you, Mike! ^_^ I used to watch Mostamazingtop10 all the time, but then the three amazing hosts, Landon Doulatsingh, Danny Burke, and Rebecca Felgate, left the channel and were replaced by less exciting hosts. To top it off, I still get alerts about new vids from them, but like you said, @quartzsilk3035, it's only creepy, spooky stuff now. They used to do a lot more variety, smh...
As much as I love Japan and want to visit someday, I'm never going to those Iko Islands after hearing about them... I'll stick to the main islands if I do ever get to go, thankyouverymuch... Especially for the cities of Kyoto or Tokyo! 🤩
Wittenoom is at a very beautiful location, been there few time's. Natural Asbestos is not dangerous, it becomes dangerous when processing. That place is worth visiting, you need vehicle with good ground clearance, because road inside the gorge is washed out. Best keep air-conditioning and in recirculation. Outback well unlike othere locations Australia doesn't have animals that see you as a food source. The snakes in Australia, unlike viper's prefer to avoid contact with humans. So you can move safely about. However, like any savannah or desert areas, carry water, food and basic things like spare tire etc. If you intend to hike, let someone know where you go and when you expect to be back. Police be happy to take those details. Don't forget to notify when you finished your excursion.
Well Mike, I grew up in Northern Californaia, in Half Moon Bay [21 miles or 38km south of San Francisco.] And the Farallon Islands are directly west of the North-most 'suburb' of HMB. My Grade Scoll is called Farralon View, in fact, because on clear days you could see the islands way out there. I never knew of the dumping however, instead, we were told to not go near the islands because it is very popular with Great White Sharks. Since we also have a very famous and very, very dangerous surf-spot called Mavericks, the proximity of Great Whites was important to be aware of, even if you were surfing safer shores, but new people would arrive to surf all the time anyway. So I still wanted to visit the islands one day, being a semi-pristine, uninhabited place. This toxic waste issue is distressing for me, not at all okay. I would go to the Gates of Hell in Turkmenstan tho, if I could afford it! I am a nobody, with no political value, and no ties to the press, so I'd pop in to view the hole, walk around it three times and then head back home. The other sites... No, no thank you. Not hiking Annapurna, not sidling along the cliffs in China, no. Just NO.
@@billraddatz7153 I went to Farallon View grade school. Fair-ah-Lon was what we said thre and in Montara, Moss Beach, even El Granada, but okay. This was over 40 years ago, maybe it's changed now, tho even Documentaries a=on sharks say if less as if they are from Boston.
I love this video, but it would have been nice to include a map of each are at the beginning of each segment so we have an idea of the location of these places. Other than that, keep up the good work! I love your videos.
Along with the deadly aspects of nature, we humans it seems are unfortunate experts at wrecking places and making them deadly places to go to. The only safe way to travel on the Death Road in Bolivia, would be in a armoured small military vehicle with a navigation system and weather app, so why even go on it.... a crazy enterprise. Is Godzilla hiding in that Russian lake? 😁
I only noticed you were back a fee days ago and I was so happy. Use r the best channel . Its a shame but im happy because I have loads to catch up on xx
Re Ramree Island, I happened to watch a video of that WWII story today! The current opinion is that a) way more people got out of the marshes than reported; b) the guy who told the story most people know wasn't there; c) the given numbers of crocs versus the supposed numbers of humans eaten by them don't add up - there were numerous other ways of dying, like being shot by the Allies. Some people absolutely did get eaten by crocs, just nowhere near the numbers reported.
Traversing our wonderous outback: bring heaps of bottled water, extra fuel- it most likely be hundreds of kilometres/miles to the next refuelling station. Blankets and warm clothes, it gets cold in the desert of a night. A pair of good sneakers/runners, if walking around. Cell/mobile phone, tho likely no coverage all the way out there. A knowledge of our dangerous creatures and how to treat, if bitten. And most importantly, let others know of the trip, and the parts you will be going to, so, if something does go wrong, searcher's will have an idea of where you should be on any given day. Safe & happy travels🙂.
10:59 You're right, Somalia is where the pirates are. However, they weren't always pirates. They used to be fishermen. As Somalia doesn't have a government, other countries started fishing in their waters, so they decided to arm themselves. Then when they armed themselves they never had to do any fishing anymore.
I’m always impressed by your perfect pronunciation.. excellent job!! 😊❤ Eritrea is pronounced “air-eh-tray-Ah.” My uncle worked there when he was with USAID.
Lake Karachay (Russian: Карача́й), sometimes spelled Karachai or Karachaj, was a small lake in the southern Ural mountains in central Russia. Starting in 1951, the Soviet Union used Karachay as a dumping site for radioactive waste from Mayak, the nearby nuclear waste storage and reprocessing facility, located near the town of Ozyorsk (then called Chelyabinsk-40). Today the lake is completely infilled, acting as "a near-surface permanent and dry nuclear waste storage facility."
I loved the video The trail of death is a definite no for me. I admire people that can do anything in regards to heights. Other than the wrong ocean, all theater facts about the Mariana Trench was correct. That's somewhere that I'd like to go. In a "SAFE" submersible !
