I bet he is only recommending last pass because it sends all your passwords to him. LMAO
loll
Yeah it’s not ageing so well
he's rich now LOL
@@monkeysgone2heaven1 I was just about to comment that
Last pass has been hacked many times.
WELL THIS AGED POORLY (last pass got hacked)
I wonder who did it
LOL
Sure.. but it didn't actually expose any passwords, did it? That is, they got encrypted data, but you can't decrypt it and get at the passwords without either the user's master password, or all of the world's supercomputers (and a couple hundred years).
LastPass has had a security breach.
I'll definitely stick to my own methods but this is good Information regardless.
@@redtalks9094 so then what was the point of commenting. You’re basically a bot.
They have had 2 breaches already.
Mmmmm local KeePass
Of course, a hacker would recommend a password manager that's been hacked before. But he's not wrong about using a password manager -- just NOT LastPass, IMO.
You got duped to watch a 4min 50second ad for Last Pass
Thanks to the comments, I saved my time.
Thank you all!
keep all your eggs in 1 basket and trust a third part company with all your information. great idea, what could go wrong
whats a third-party company, and are you speaking in a sarcastic tone, for context.
How do you store your passwords, offline or online services.
@@samurai34fix89 yeah he is being sarcastic 😅. He kinda has a point, idk the best way to save passwords
@@samurai34fix89 Non digital storing options
😂
This did NOT age well.
Wdym?
@@camilopardo2634last pass was hacked
@@camilopardo2634 last pass was hacked several times.
What do you mean???
Last pass got hacked.
We all need to do this more than ever with more online presence.
RIP Last Pass 1:52
Thanks Patrick. No more procrastination for me. It's very eye opening to think you know something. But once you see and hear that information it brings more importance to that particular subject. Great video brother 👍
This aged well
What happened?
@@romang6437 LastPass lost 33 million password vaults a few weeks ago and just now told everyone. Those vaults are encrypted by only a Master Password now…all other protections were defeated. And LastPass has been really non-transparent about it.
@@ikjadoon Seems like the CEO of last pass ended up being the ultimate hacker. It's actually really smart in a scammer kind of way.
Well, this one didn’t age too well, did it?
it aged fine. yeah, it's scary when your password manager company gets hacked, but the big takeaway was that the system worked as designed. if you had a strong master password, your stolen, encrypted vault is safe (for now). All bets are off when either some super powerful AI or quantum computers get into the mix.
i like how he keeps looking at his back.. as if FBI is coming at anytime...
@@SportsSteadyTv Never
When did Bono become a collector of passwords?
when he recomonded lastpass
With Or Without You 🙂
This didn't age well since Last Pass was breached.
Call me Old-fashioned, but I store my passwords in ... err ... my head
You must have a huuuuuge head
And/or an easy to crack by brut force or dictionary hardware/software tools used by hackers
All of them? You can only remember a few passwords. If you can memorize all of them you either have only a few accounts or you use the same password or all your accounts, which is exactly how guys like the guy being interviewed gets into you accounts. Ideally, each account has a different password.
also when setting up passwords in manager, purposely leave out a few letters that only you know that won't be on manager that you would have to add at last minute to log in to whatever site then that way if lastpass gets breached and someone has your list, they still can't log in because they wont know the rest of password to log in ... could they reset or something maybe but chances are good that if they have to spend all that time on one persons logins then they will just move on to someone elses breached data ...
Had my phone number stole twice, had 3m+ followers stolen in the past.

He uses Lastpass. I guess he got hacked too then.
He is not dumb, he or one of his buds may have done. All these Managers are just a marketing money maker. These are paid commercials.
Very helpful, Patrick. Thank you.
Most elite new school security professionals don't even recommend last pass, because they're held back by the same principles that make your own passwords unsafe. All it takes is someone to manipulate the right last pass employee to access their encryption keys or database. The safest way is to create a cipher - that you can encode all your own passwords with. Then you don't have to remember any individual password - you just need to remember your cipher.
I hate how Microsoft uses "birth name, first pet and first friend", so everybody who knows you well can guess all of it 😑
Actual Tip: Use a 24 character password generator with javascript code and make it a bookmarklet
This did not age well.
😂😂😂 I had to pause as soon as he said he uses lastpass
This guy looks like a hacker in a 90's movie.
That didn't age well :)
That seems like alot work checking every website
That's how I always thought of it. I think writing them down and making that notepad unfindable by humans. Even better is encryption (Eg scrambled alphabet A = E) and hiding the key in a different unfindable area. If anyone has anything better, I'm all ears.
write them down on a notepad right next to the computer, but add in the middle some password inside the password, like "password**********12345" and you only need to remember the **********, never repeat the "password/12345" part, thats like those passwords managers where you only need to remember one password
@@vitormiguelsilva3025 So then you'll need a different prefix and suffix for every one of your real passwords, which also need to be different than each other. So how is that going to work?
@@vandogtrailer6701 Yes, thats pretty much it.... or just append your secret password to your "visible password" part, you should not repeat your visible password part because you are already repeating the secret password part in many sites, if for some reason your full password is leaked on one site they wont be able to login on another site because the visible part is diferent and writen on paper.... if some coworker or friend of your brother/son find your password list they wont know the secret part of the password...
@@vitormiguelsilva3025*There is a saying in the CIA, never store your passwords digitally and always change them monthly/weekly if it's weak and never change them at all if it's extremely strong* as you'll end up with a weaker password after changing it. Note that, you need to have an extremely strong password to not change it for years. *Generally, it's recommended that you change your most socially active accounts password after an year... basically the accounts which you use on websites or social media.*
Extremely long or extremely short passwords are easier to hack considering you'll get more accurate hits, *so keep it balanced and less predictable to both humans who know you socially and computers which are good with algos, logic etc.* So never use numbers from your phone no, people you follow on social media, your favourite stars etc in your password.
*Never enter your personal info, phone number, email, Google photos linked email etc anywhere.*
*Btw, using your pendrive in a local printer shop is the best way to get a shit ton of malware...* that's where typical foreign Intelligence or hacker guys go for spreading/infecting.
Cheers! 🥂
HAHAHA Lastpass got hacked...good luck dealing with the trouble guys....start changing your passwrds
Great advice.
Hey Patrick you need to put Disclaimers on SPONSORED videos, Bruh!!!
Thanks, this was gold
I want the hackers to get in to the Vatican's Account to see who is their list like Ghilaine's List🤔
This aged well. 🤣🤣

this didnt age well in2023 lastpass leaked 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for the video! Time to get cracking
Didn’t lastpass get hacked?
Hmmm... LastPass, huh? That recommendation didn't really age well, did it?! 🤦♂🤷♂
Why lastpass specifically?
Wait didn’t Lastpass get hacked recently?
Sure let's just use one master password for everything we do and then trust another company to not get their software hacked. Holy shit talk about one of the worst ways to store anything. Cheers!
Thanks
this video is 4yo, lastpass had several data breach, I think I will just stick to google password manager
Looks like Andy Dick finally got his shit together.
Appreciate this, thank you!
"I use Last Pass" 🎉
While you are worrying about passwords, they are stealing your tokens.
"..for you it's not a great deal, for the rest of us it's a big deal.." - Huh
Hacker recommending most data breached password manager.. lol
why trust a hacker to give you information hes trying to extract. 🤔🤔
Geez how do you even trust the bank tellers these day when you call and say I need to make a transfer
Hold on...a hacker security expert uses LastPass? Is this an April fools joke or....
nice ad...
This guy uses Lastpass that's gotten repeatedly hacked? Lol. Naw. This guy probably hacked Lastpass to log in to our accounts.
Guys I use one time pad to ' remember and store ' my passwords
.is it a good option ? I am not a tech-savvy person, so I welcome your comments.
Thank you, sirs!
Super. Very motivating. I have been using last past for a few years.
Prolly time to switch. I'm switching as well.
Gotta go biometric
But what happens if a hacker gets your main password for your password manager and logs in and now sees all your online web accounts? Yikes! 😱
I mean all you can do is change the main password and then turn on 2FA!
But it’s a pondering question!
Never ever ever write down your master password. And make sure it's strong enough to not be guessed. Those two things are the whole game.
This is why you use local password manager
Bro uses LastPass??💀💀💀💀💀
Remember this was 3 yrs ago, since then they’ve had the breaches.
Use 2FA, it’s the key.
How? Can you elaborate
Not safe

@2:10 don’t be the low hanging fruit
How do I remember my password
How do they not teach this in school??
Because nobody takes security seriously enough
A shocking amount of hacks that occur are actually easily preventable
These get hacked. Best is on paper as less people have access to it along with 2 factor authentication. Almost all these apps are pay to use. Also passwords should be 3 random words and a series of numbers. If you want something easy to remember then someone else will easily hack it.
Lastpass, 2 factor authentication app

Why? He sounds like a normal dude. You on the other hand sound like you hang around bad people.

Ok.
except LP keeps getting boned with security breaches. Not a good look for a security company that can't take care of their own backyard. would avoid Last Pass if I were you.

I was out as soon as he recommended LastPass..didn’t watch any further.
what did it for you?
I had a fb message from Dan Bangino sp today. He was running a promotion 10,000 dollars for the first 100 people! click the link and everything you just said. then I undid it...I don't give that much information to anybody....people need to realize you don't have to be the person to open an account under someone else.
