Boom Truck Goes Boom!

- This boom truck started making a lot of scary and loud noises from the transmission, so I took my @NRCIndustries Rollback out to get it towed to the shop
for a replacement. Luckily the pto still worked so that I could raise the outriggers, and they were even nice enough to cone off a nice work area for me 😂

The placing of that truck, in that spot, is some pretty impressive driving!
Sure impressed me.
Wow, great job on that truck placement.
Excellent wiggling there on that spot for sure, too tight against the building for me
Impressive backing! You make it look so easy.
@@TrumpAmerica-2024 He didn't. Can't you see he even backed it up further with the stinger, right after stopping.
For somebody that says that they're "not good at this ".. that "wiggle" backup was Seriously Impressive.
Awesome editing with the 360 camera
5:35 Step 1 to tow a truck - disconnect the driveshaft from the axle to save the transmission. Do this in front of a camera to avoid getting blamed for a busted transmission. Check.
I've put semi-trailers into some tight spots, but I'm impressed with how you got the truck backed into that spot in the lot at the shop.
I was having flash backs of backing 53 ft trailers with a long nose tractor into areas, designed for shorter
trailers. Thank you for the memories and you did great. great explanations for vehicle towing,
Watching that parking job reminds me of the many times my students (when I was teaching CDL-A classes) would ask me why it is necessary to learn how to parallel park a semi rig. Fast Richard and Billy King could answer that for you I'm sure. The answer is "Because it will be required one day!" I would tell my students to know what you can do, know what your truck can do, and know what you can do together. Makes the day go by much easier.
Especially with no spotter
@@davelee9087 Me too. I've parallel parked b-trains on streets many times. Four times a day we used to back B-trains three lengths onto chip dumpers. It just a matter of doing it and practising until you've got it.
@@davelee9087 Truck and pup dump trucks around hub stakes, foundations and ditches to get under an excavator without dropping the trailer in the hole being dug. It was all in a day's work. Driving forward isn't all there is to trucking.
The 360 camera view of you backing the truck in was great! I thought you'd have trouble getting it into the outside spot, but you managed to get it one lane over from the outside! Nicely done!
Have a drink for every episode where Casey threatens to organize the tools on the rollback
LOL!
If I had to back up that beast, I'd still be there today- two days later! Awesome skills Casey!
Excellent backing into that spot
Thanks for taking those walks for us! 😂
Should take an e-bike along.
I'm always amazed at your ingenuity and skill in both your videography and recovery work to making the difficult look easy!
Look at your big International roll off giving its grandpa a lift to the hospital. It warms the heart.
That’s some badass driving right there
Hope ya know Casey us viewers truly appreciate all the work and time and effort you put into making your videos, keep up the great work. You’re definitely one of the best channels out there.
Just a little partial I am to Midwest towing and a southern Missouri. 500 subscribers I believe. Of course I’m in Northeast Missouri different ball game I would say with the rotator
Wow seeing you back that truck into that parking space was truly impressive!!!!! 👏
Love the camera shot of the parking. Great work. Flat towing info very good.
GOAL Get Out and Look my truckers need to learn this---:glad you do it
Back in the 1970's we had a public information film that used to run on British TV about reversing a lorry, it was partly a comedy sketch in a way.

I appreciate and agree with all of the explanations you give. You're very experienced and safety minded! BTW, I'm so glad that you were able to find a safe place to pull over to finish your safety chains and lights as with ALL of the traffic on that road, it would have been very hazardous to do it on the road. LOL!!!
It was simply courtesy on Casey's part. It's a job site and there is no telling what truck of materials or what workers may be coming in. Why risk ticking off someone else when you don't have to?
props on your towing and backing skills
@@TrumpAmerica-2024 He didn't.
Loved the birds eye 360 shot! As always a great video!
Nice job backing that in Casey! Thinking ahead right from the start by extending the wheel lift and then setting up your backing angle BEFORE you start to back! This is where so many drivers go wrong and spend half the day trying to get it right.. Smooooooth!
Holy smokes! Casey that shot from the top of the boom truck as your parked was awesome. Thanks for what you share with us.
Really enjoyed this one! Also the explanation about why the drive line is disconnected. I don’t know much of anything about vehicles but with every tow of big trucks I’ve seen, that’s always been done, just never been explained. And also the reasoning for not tying the steering wheel which makes absolute sense to me once I heard it. 👍👍👍
Love what you do Casey!!
What a neat setup for the removed driveline. Quick and efficient! And in todays episode I learned about spring hangers. Super cool! As always awesome job driving and backing up Casey! The parking with the 360 on to of the boom was $$$$$
Amazing getting that truck backed onto that tight spot. That’s proof you ARE good at this.
That was a good job backing that rig in there at the shop. Well done.
Way to go...that was tight!
Impressive maneuver backing the truck up
I think you’ve done this for a while. You can back up in the tight spots like a pro. That’s awesome.😊!
Always a great way to start the day, witha new Casey video.
I love watching Casey operate all his awesome tools that's it. Peace Out.
That was pretty skillful backing Not many drivers could have done that. That whole yard looked tight You showed a lot of skills in this video.
Crazy how we can keep maps of different cities in our heads I only visit bend every couple years but I know exactly where you are in every video😂
Nice maneuvering Casey. You make it look so easy, but I realize that it is not !
Awesome recovery bud! 🤘 Thanks for sharing 😎
I, for one, appreciate the extra walking you do to get the shot!
Keep up the great work!
Ron Pratt ties the steering wheel so the steer tires don't stick out in traffic. Your reasoning makes perfect sense to me. In tow, that was a lot of truck in some really tight places. Very well done, Casey. Thanks for all your walking.
That was some amazing back up skills considering the total length of the wheelbase between both rigs.
The things our Casey does for his customers is marvelous ...
Our Casey? He points his finger at the camera and mentions us !!!!
About 3 hours ago I was trying to assist my son to back a 7x5 box trailer into a very large space in a paddock. His first comment was that he was not good at backing. He told the truth. Took about longer for him to sort of park than Casey took to park and uncouple that truck. If it wasn't so far I would send him to Casey for lessons.
Amazing driver skill ! Love your show!
An admirable parking job! Thank you for posting this.
Wow! Awesome driving skills parking that long load!
Good job. Great 360 shots😊
I suck at backing up trailers, so I'm always impressed with how easily and accurately you back up your various rigs.
If you can get lined up as straight as you can to begin with, its half the battle. Then, don't keep turning the steering wheel like most people do, That will mess you up very quickly. Make very small corrections as needed. Learn to use your mirrors.
Wow! It sometimes takes me two or three tries to get my little 12 foot trailer into my driveway. You backed that super long rig into a tight spot in what looks like one shot! Well done sir!!
Casey I'm so impressed with your big truck that truck can handle just about anything great video thank you very much I appreciate your time in showing us your jobs 👍
Good morning Casey. Good job for the morning run. God bless you all the time and your family and your friends to.
Hi Casey. Love the 4K. You have amazing backing skills! Amazing.
One shot! Excellent job of backing up that rig.
Thanks for my first laugh of the day.❤ to you and the family. (Cones)
Wow, Casey, I was holding my breath on that one. Casey, you ARE GOOD AT THIS!
I don’t comment very often. However, major kudos are deserved for that parking job!!!!
Great job Casey!!!!! Your backing up skills are fantastic. Thanks for sharing.☺️☺️☺️☺️👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That 360 camera is awesome. I love the views it allows you to include in your videos.
You did an excellent job backing the boom truck in at the shop.
Thanks for taking us along. Always a pleasure.
Man that is a lot of really good backing up. 😊😊😊 Thank you for sharing😊😊😊
Wow, you might call it wiggling Casey but that was perfect 🤩
That camera on the boom while backing up was cool, as it turned on its own.
We appreciate you exercising to give us such great content. 😂👍
Thank you for all the walking.. great shots. Impressive how you back with such precision. Wonderful shots of the whole parking process. Thank you!
Great video Casey! The walking you do to give us those amazing shots is appreciated. Made me think you need to take your electric bike with you to save you some walking.
Put your e-bike on the truck and save yourself some walking.😊
For those that don't know, that was some pretty impressive backing.
Good job backing that truck into that spot! Eddie
You are just tooo generous 😮 great filming and all the extra effort you put in to filming is great aspecialy the "DRONE "footage 😂 thanks for sharing, and all the extra information, such as how flat towing works,,all the best to you and your loved ones
Grt yourself an e-bike to do all the back and forth for thecamera, it will save you a lot of time and energy and it will add a little FUN to your day. Also, I really enjoy your chanel Casey, thank you for all the good content
That was some sweet maneuvering and some sweet video!
7:51 Thank you for the explanation! 😻
Awesome video👍👍👍
Great Content and Recovery
Have a Great Day 👍
God Bless America 🇺🇸🙏🇺🇸
Great job backing up .
Love your videos, but if i get one wish for what to change it is to keep the full hookup procedure in the video. It is at least what I find is the most interesting. Keep up the good work!
NICE JOB OF BACKING 🙂👍👍👍👍👍
Camera work is sharp man! I can see the extra work done to make better and it's great. It's great to watch you grow.
Impressive backing!
Drove wrecker in early 70's sure ain't the same. Good job
what a terrible location for a heavy truck repair shop. Great job getting that thing in there.
You're as good me backing up! This a compliment!!
Casey needs a go fund me account for a "Lodar" system for the under reach functions!!
Excellent backing up! Especially parking the boom truck !!
Like a pro, perfect parking
Some wiggle and G.O.A.L. and job done. You almost got it between the lines except for that truck in the way on the passenger side. Two big long trucks, one not so big space. This is not as easy as it looks on video. 👍
Lots of walking …. But good videos! Can’t believe where you had to park it!👍👍👍
Your backing up is like a master class in doing the almost impossible ❤️
Good backing right there!
Heck of a parking job on that Disabled Boom truck. I suspect that requires a couple of months to get the hang of it. Great Job Casey!
I love seeing the rollback and the big trucks, and I love hearing about why you decide to do the things you do.
Great job! Great driving! Great video! I really enjoyed the 360 view on top of the truck when you were backing it in at the shop! Cheers from southwestern Indiana!
YAY
And that there kids is how it’s done. Easy peasy! Nice job Casey…😎😎
Nice job backing that into the parking spot.
A lot of people don't realize how to move something like that.
You gotta be kidding me nice parking job.🎉
Nice job Casey, very talented! Just a thought, make a bike rack for the E-Bike and save some steps? 🙂 Thanks for all your work!!
You sir are a true professional.
Wow, that was amazing.
I concur with others, your wiggle and turn down that alley is impressive. As for the extra walking, you could pack your e-bike, perhaps mount up front. But in the long run, the walking is good for the heart.
Hellacious backing! Parking that boom truck in that lot was an art some truckers don't have. Another great video, thanks for taking us along. Stay safe and GOD bless
@@TrumpAmerica-2024 I don't see that. Could you have done better?
Backing up is an incredibly useful skill!! I’ve reversed a Kenworth tanker with 3000 gallons of water on back many miles up mountain roads several times on forest fires.
You do my exercise for me, plus I get to watch great content. A win win for me! 😂
10/10 on the reverse parking!
yep give that man a triple stamp for the driving card...that was super impressive. great job....
