Agree with you 100% about the Apple watch. I loved all the features of my Ultra but it became another chore of constantly charging and worrying about battery life. I sold it and ordered a Garmin Instinct 2x that should arrive tomorrow, cant wait. I love my automatics but you can’t argue with the amount of features and fantastic battery life Garmin brings to the table. It’s unbeatable for a fitness and health watch IMO. Stay safe my friend.
I can understand dropping one Omega but both 😢. Anyway, the Aqua Terra, Globe master, DeVille, and Speedmaster lines are outstanding. For me, my SMP 300 is my "luxury diver" and next year a Blue 38mm Aqua Terra will be my "luxury GADA" 😊
I’m not knocking omega at all. I think their watches are fantastic pieces of engineering, but unfortunately I just could not bond with them the way I truly wanted to.
I really just don’t get the Sangin hype, even though I’m trying. As a former infantryman and Anglican, I get the supporting a fellow Marine, but what am I missing about paying around a G for a seiko movement with unoriginal designs? I get they are just starting up but hopefully they can come up with other stuff than mimic the khaki field and SM 300M and do more inhouse
I totally get where you’re coming from man. In house calibers and original designs would be great, but I doubt the company has the resources to do that kind of R&D at this point. I think it’s important to recognize as well that Sangin isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel. Watches like the Khaki field, 300M, submariner and GMT master are what they are today because in the past, guys in our profession used them for their intended purpose. The way I see Sangin, they’re not trying to compete with those design concepts or make them obsolete, but rather provide that same functionality at a more reasonable price point. Regarding the price and why I think it’s justified: yes, you’re getting cheaper Seiko automatics and some quartz movements, but watches are more than simply their calibers. The company puts a lot of intent into designing robust cases. Many of Sangin’s newer releases have screwed-in fixed bars on the lugs, which are far superior compared to standard spring bars in terms of durability. Lastly, I think it works to the customer’s advantage to avoid taking an in-house caliber into an adverse situation. In house calibers are more expensive to service if damaged. I recently had my mom’s Tissot serviced, and instead of paying for an expensive service, Tissot did a quick, cheap movement swap and sent me the watch back in a timely manner. Sangin also has that capability. Thanks for your service bro, and stay safe 🤙
With Sangin, you're paying for the "drop" schedule, the design, and yes the HYPE. IMHO the Overlord is AWESOME and the GMTs are really cool. Love that they aren't afraid of quartz.
Artem Straps FKM Hydroflex 21mm strap in Grey. Super high quality rubber. The only rubber strap I know that even comes close to this is the Oysterflex from Rolex

Thanks man, appreciate it. Enjoy the garmin. Easily one of the smartest purchases I’ve made in the past 6 momths
I’m not a fan of the Submariner, but it looks really cool on that strap.

I do hope you’re enjoying your Omegas though. They are indeed amazing watches, wear them proudly

Good to hear you got rid of the Omega's. I feel like doing the same...
Makes me sad to see people letting them go, the Seamaster 300 is my grail watch.
oh no please get rid of the artem garbage. The steel looks so much better.
