Yep, try mom to 3 teenage boys. I've been listening since they my boys were babies and my oldest remembers hearing bb around the house when he was just itty bitty. I'm very proud to have instilled a great taste in music in him, lol. He loves bb as much as i still do.

The chorus is one of the best ones they've written imo. This song's definitely a highlight of the album in general, but the chorus is my personal favorite part of the song.

What's even more amazing is Ben gets up on stage feeling like shit half the time because of his stomach problems!!!! I adore him. They have gotten me sober and away from my suicide kick!! Them and Chevelle made me feel better!! My bday was aug 31st and im in indy, i was all the way at the top of the lawn and my buddy calls me and tells me to meet him in the 3rd row. Omfg i cried my eyes out!! Went and got my BBBB tat right b4 concert! I love them
This song is seriously powerful to me, given my interpretation.
I dated a girl for a few years who is an atheist, and at the time I was struggling with my own faith. Beautiful girl, full blooded Irishwoman born in America. During the course of our relationship, I felt my commitment to her was ultimately drawing me even further away from my faith. I was making the choice to "stay unforgiven." I wanted to make the relationship work despite her overwhelming secular nature (I'll keep love together). Ultimately I knew that my commitment to her would mean forgoing my salvation. When Ben says "I'll be yours forever," I interpret that as as the "eternal" bond I could have shared with her (follow the dammed). So the "closest thing to heaven" I could ever experience would be here on earth when I would lay next to her.
At 2:47 when Ben says "I'm coming home," I consider that to be my soul crying out for salvation (as it is said in Christianity, when a believer dies, God is just calling his children home). Despite the call for salvation, Ben still asks at 3:00 for "his love to release him." I knew what I needed to do, but even then her power over me was too great. Ben realizes this when he repeats the chorus at 3:09. His fate is sealed (as was mine).
This is a super deep interpretation and I am now convinced that it is a Christian song

To me this song is all about not allowing your loved one to move on and transcend either in the afterlife or in their life on earth. The main character refuses to move on and wants that love to last forever. He's willing to be hated for holding onto lost love. Finally the loved one says "release me, my love". The main character still doesn't want to move on, which is sad...tragic. Sleeping close to heaven - as good as it gets but not true bliss..

Wow! Benjamin has delivered in a way indescribable this time around. This song and "Bury Me Alive" are among the best they have ever done. Ever. This album shattered all expectations. This will be on repeat until the Fall.
This is not a band. This is a family. They are all so talented and I love them. All of their music has so much heart and meaning. Absolutely love them.
So far this album is amazing! Still has that sound that all of us Breaking Benjamin fans know and love. This band is one of those bands that you can easily recognize from the vocals and lyrics, and Im happy that even though most of the members are new, they kept the sound of the past albums that made this band so great.

This song makes me think of an angel that has been born into a human body and their only desire is to return home to heaven. However, the evil from earth and the life of a human has tainted their soul so they are unable to return even through death. They are broken and lost, the only comfort they have is being able to look up to heaven from where they are chained therfore they "sleep close to heaven" but can never truly return.
When Despair kicks in hard, but something within your Soul still calls out to you for that little shine of Hope to Live on...

two months ago i decided to take a look over the iTunes charts and i saw this precious album, I had never listened to Breaking Benjamin before (sorry it was my mistake ) so i said let's listen to this album without looking at any video or photo of the band. While i was listening to the album i imagined how the band looks like and i felt in love with the voice and sounds in every song, also the lyrics are on point. In conclusion i felt in love with breaking benjamin without knowing how they look like only because of their music. Then i start to watch videos of the band and i liked them even more !! Good job guys your music is 100/10

This song makes me imagine some overpowered héroe who’s captive in chains but then he awakened his power within and broke out of his handcuffs and is going on a one man army of fallen angels in the second heaven and it’s destroying 1/3 of second heaven and he rescues his friend from the prison she was held in. And then reaches a dimension that’s close to heaven and the dwelling of God to rest in there he faced off against Lucifer and Abaddon and all sorts of powerful fallen angels.
