The colorful tonality, the rhythmic textures from dividing the 6/4 bar in different layers of note values (in the prelude) make it so interesting and precious. There is nothing superficially whiny or kitschy about this piece, it's pure and sincere. Great contrapuntal writing! I simply love it!
