I like that you can buff your characters. What I don't like Is that some perks can nerf other characters. There's one perk that cancels out any stunts you get hit by and that is a direct nerf to Kaminari. I don't like that. I think it would have been fine if you had one special perk, like the one to find Kota, and three normal ones that can buff your stats. Like buffing the damage of a skill, your hp, reload speed, etc.
I just hate this system overall, like I want every character to be fair, like your saying I gotta spend money to roll for a character and pay more money to give my character buffs to keep up with people who have maxed out builds
Usually in perk systems people pay to have multiple slots sheets, not just buy the perks, even if F2P can have it in the long run it's still Pay 2 Win.
I'm gonna miss when finding Kota was actually exciting and worthwhile, but now it's much easier but overkilled now removing the satisfaction of finding him.

I am a free to play and honestly as much as I wanted to hate the system at first... I had a LOT of fun figuring out builds and stuff. I'd imagine for newer Players it will be hard since they dont have any Hero Souls and Skins. But as a Day 1 Player, its not to bad if you play alot to get the character memorie thingys. So its not as bad as I initially thought. BUT there is still a TON of hackers in EU which takes a lot of the fun out of the grind. :D Edit - if you are interested in a cool build - find a skin with purple and blue special skill and put both togas in. After you down someone you get shield and HP, feels reeeally good.
Something fun I'm doing is going full damage build on Endeavor's... Prominence burn specifically. I incrased the damage from 154 to 192 i believe. It can definitely make bad moves good, just annoying that the red Villains we currently have offer some lame passives.
I love the fact that you can unlock the PU or PU aura for skins by unlocking the right side tuning slots and I personally think this is great for the games future and is giving me a real reason to grind the game
For Nejire's special, when you want to aim it better, you have to reengage the special (w/ jump) then press the special again. That way you go exactly the way you want to go. However, the slight delay could make shooting you easier. Love the vid, happy I'm not the only one who realized this system might be pay to win. Especially since special skins you don't have to unlock the last two slots.
Go Special Action Reload Speed on Aizawa. You will never let the enemy play the game in a 1v1. That's something i can see and am terrified to face. Thanks for the content Stray.

i’ve been running iida and kendo with yellow shiggy’s “Embrittlement” skill since it gives the enemy defense down if you melee, and the two of them have good combos with their melees. pair that with some beta damage up, GP and HP damage up, and you shred through people (your teammates attacks also benefit from inflicting Embrittlement!)
You can Gamma cancel into your Special Action to flight dash where you want quick. :D Also if they are flesh, her melee combo allows to sneak in two hits of one Alpha shot since her Alpha is three hits. And I've been trying to land tap Betas sometimes for two Beta hits before squeezing in an Alpha for a bit more combo damage. I think it's a decent trick early game because Nejire's Beta is valuable and Alpha shots are 2 second reloads until lvl 9.
i’d like to experiment with weaker characters like endy and kendo. maybe the perks can revert kendo’s damage nerf and movement and reload speed buffs for endy’s special action seem like they’d help a lot
I feel like we just need more tickets from the weekly. I’ve been playing since the middle of last season so fairly new. I’m focusing my tickets on getting quirk sets as I can just get characters from the tickets but with this I’m just going to get behind with no chance to catch up
i also started mid season 7 and have all the skill sets except shoto and deku. gacha has been good to me and so far, as a free to play, i got nejire, hawks, present mic, only missing overhaul now. still gotta unlock the vanilla characters tho
This system is actually super cool and I like it on paper. Very nice customization layer to skins which if you are playing the game chances are you are rolling for skill sets and/or characters so you are more than likely getting a bunch of PUR skins instead of the characters. I don't like how it NEEDS to be a PUR skin but it's fine the main issue I have is that it's skin specific not just a general thing for the character you choose. Letting you spec your character to have supplementals to cater to your gameplay style is reminiscent of Modding in warframe(good thing) and I think it could work here but we'll have to see how crazy it actually gets as this is a pvp game which will mean the community will look for the best possible combinations very soon.
@StrayStream The way Nejire's Special action worked is it goes where her body is facing towards i figured it out in customs with friends cause I was looking backwards but her body was facing forwards so she boosted forwards.
The mirio special tuning is interesting, you can use the s and steal big box as soon as the game starts or even grab kota because of said s. Another thing is maxing slots gives you auras but the real important thing is having all colors unlocked and unlocking slots raises the max level of your special tuning passives. So ideally buy all alt colors for your PUR fits if you have extra hero souls laying around.
Dont forget to enhance your normal perks by clicking the top right button on the tuning screen. Basically if you have a rare skin, youll be able to enhance them more.
if you want to dash any derection you need to press space bar (hover on the air like endever) on that deserction first and then press your special its a little hard timing but it works for me. at 7:29 you need to aim at the way you want to go also when you hover
If you have a skin that can get villain rapids or universal rapids, you could get rapid togas special tuning which gives you shield when you down somebody which I think will be meta. Unfortunately I play rapid togas and can’t have it 😢😢
You want broken? Christmas Aizawa costume is absolutely broken, health and attack boosts all the way and then Hp and Gp sucker for the special mods and you've got the immortal santa
Something to point out is that the right column of the tuning thing will give auras for the Plus Ultra skins. All the way to max aura. Another thing to note is that if you don’t have a character (ex. Rapid toga) you can’t use that characters tuning buff. Until you unlock that character.
You don't have to unlock the character to obtain their data for the tuning slot. Will just take a lot longer and a lot more grinding to get it without owning the character.

Nah, kota finding ability is only if you have red deku unlocked and the GP restore ability is only if you have rapid toga unlocked. And there other perks that give you a big advantage. This is extremely pay to win. Because you can just use hero crystals to unlock everything.
If you put Shoto in the special perk spot, the one that nullifies burn damage does that include self burn from Strike Dabi's gamma? That could be a fun build to test.
The Iida Special Perk is a game changer to be honest. Equip it to someone like Red Shiggy or Ibara and Overhaul, and upgrade it and it lasts all match. No longer any mobility problems for them.
Christmas All Might full damage and for the special tuning, I would say Endeavor and Shigaraki(or someone who buff damage) in this way, in PU mode you can do about +300 damage with one single beta

My favorite build has been with kiri and going double gamma Damage up to the max level, and also health damage up. With no strikes my gamma does 217 damaged at lvl 9. With 2 technicals I was consistently getting 10+ kill games
Rn I run a Kirishima build with multiple Gamma dmg plus. if you have 1 strike card or a strike on your team you can one shot 250 hp characters (dmg total is around 260). You can also pull a similar stunt with his alpha
Btw, it seems like you get auras for skins once you’ve done enough in the TUNING system for it? I have the rainbow aura on nejire but i’ve only pulled one costume 🤔
The parts that make this system p2w: 1. you need specific quirk skills/characters to get the bonus abilities that are crazy (looking at you, gp sucker) 2. that you need to have the right slots to even use the skills and need to pulls for COSMETICS that, btw, you need a specific color of, to get the right slots!
I have the Paladin Shiggy costume. Base one has a purple and blue lead, so I put both Toga's in there. Every down refills some HP and Shield. It's pretty good but won't save you if your focused like you get. Overall I don't think most of tuning does much, most I've seen is a Dabi with 9 extra HP. Oooooo. he can survive one more tick in the storm. The lead abilities are really all that matter, and then I don't think they're *that* strong.

Tuneing in itself wouldn’t be so bad if not for how the slots work . Also I noticed no one can leave or kick people from lobbies so who u get matched with ur stuck with them . Which is probably trying to increase more matches and cut down on dodging but the only mistake with this is if u get matched with toxic people ur stuck unless u Disconnect before it starts . I don’t think we really needed builds to make the game more interesting but I’ll keep a open mind

Honestly I really enjoy this perk system, it helps people play their favorite characters more but I hate how it's implemented. The fact that it's color dependent is stupid. There's literally gonna be meta color schemes. I don't think it'll ruin the game like others say but it does seem fun. I think with this new "way" or "system" for find kota could be cool if they could make kota spawn more than only 1 time. Listen, im loving nejire she soo much fun, her alpha to me i dont know why but is so satisfying to land. She definitely strong but not in a op way shes one of the more balanced characters thatve been released in my opinion. Yes shes still strong but also weak in a sense, Oh and lemme say i IMMEDIATELY raised my sensitivity, you wanna play her on high sense Trust me. However theres a few things ive got a problem with: 1. Teammates. i dont know if its new players, bots or because its a new season, but every last teammate ive had has left the match, it is so incredibly annoying to try to rank up and your team just gives up. Ill never leave off rip, and will always go down fighting but holy its hell trying to stay alive seems impossible. 2. Is it just me or are there more bots than real people even on console? I went against the same dang team for hrs in a row cause it seems like everyone is just gone, I'm hoping its just cause its a new season. 3. And finally i really wish they would fix that red dabis tracking and nerf hawks beta damage. The tuning system allows them to be even stronger and that irritates me. If the devs wont nerf the damage they gotta nerf more asspects of the characters and buff others, this is a typical complaint but oh well. They should make red dabis ring of fire activate at longer times then what it is and he needs to take more health damage like alot more. I know it seems like im complaining too much, but i really am having fun. But dabi and hawks 😑 man oh man.
I find that Compression Magic kinda useful, but leveing it up is so pointless but funny. I currently have it at lv.7 and i can carry 11 group heals in one slot of the bag
Mixed, I don't mind the perk system granted it does unfortunately make the new vs vet player situation worse because now it's not just a lack of skill or the variation of just having access to other characters that makes a difference but time. Now I do like being able to customize my characters and I do like that getting the memory experience is relatively easy, but I hate hate hate that different costumes have different colors because now balancing this system will be a nightmare where as if all costumes just had the same slots you could just tweak memories.
I am gonna 100 need to study these perks and figure out what will work best with kirishima for both original and now that the new quirkset is dropping. Kirishima 100% will be a much more interesting character to mess around with in terms of upgrades.

Btw, it seems like you get auras for skins once you’ve done enough in the TUNING system for it? I have the rainbow aura on nejire but i’ve only pulled one costume 🤔
The parts that make this system p2w:
1. you need specific quirk skills/characters to get the bonus abilities that are crazy (looking at you, gp sucker)
2. that you need to have the right slots to even use the skills and need to pulls for COSMETICS that, btw, you need a specific color of, to get the right slots!
I have the Paladin Shiggy costume. Base one has a purple and blue lead, so I put both Toga's in there. Every down refills some HP and Shield. It's pretty good but won't save you if your focused like you get. Overall I don't think most of tuning does much, most I've seen is a Dabi with 9 extra HP. Oooooo. he can survive one more tick in the storm. The lead abilities are really all that matter, and then I don't think they're *that* strong.

Tuneing in itself wouldn’t be so bad if not for how the slots work . Also I noticed no one can leave or kick people from lobbies so who u get matched with ur stuck with them . Which is probably trying to increase more matches and cut down on dodging but the only mistake with this is if u get matched with toxic people ur stuck unless u Disconnect before it starts . I don’t think we really needed builds to make the game more interesting but I’ll keep a open mind
Only thing about Kota finder is once everyone has it, only one person is gunna get use out of it. Everyone else will have a wasted slot.

Honestly I really enjoy this perk system, it helps people play their favorite characters more but I hate how it's implemented. The fact that it's color dependent is stupid. There's literally gonna be meta color schemes. I don't think it'll ruin the game like others say but it does seem fun. Also I just started watching your content and the way you play is so exhilarating and fun to watch. Keep it up

I think with this new "way" or "system" for find kota could be cool if they could make kota spawn more than only 1 time. I mean after a person find him, probably using this system, could be nice to make kota respasn again for idk 3 4 5 times maybe, not too much, for make more usefull that TUNING if more people have that. Idk maybe could be a bad idea but i think could be nice

Listen, im loving nejire she soo much fun, her alpha to me i dont know why but is so satisfying to land. She definitely strong but not in a op way shes one of the more balanced characters thatve been released in my opinion. Yes shes still strong but also weak in a sense, Oh and lemme say i IMMEDIATELY raised my sensitivity, you wanna play her on high sense Trust me. However theres a few things ive got a problem with: 1. Teammates. i dont know if its new players, bots or because its a new season, but every last teammate ive had has left the match, it is so incredibly annoying to try to rank up and your team just gives up. Ill never leave off rip, and will always go down fighting but holy its hell trying to stay alive seems impossible. 2. Is it just me or are there more bots than real people even on console? I went against the same dang team for hrs in a row cause it seems like everyone is just gone, I'm hoping its just cause its a new season. 3. And finally i really wish they would fix that red dabis tracking and nerf hawks beta damage. The tuning system allows them to be even stronger and that irritates me. If the devs wont nerf the damage they gotta nerf more asspects of the characters and buff others, this is a typical complaint but oh well. They should make red dabis ring of fire activate at longer times then what it is and he needs to take more health damage like alot more. I know it seems like im complaining too much, but i really am having fun. But dabi and hawks 😑 man oh man.

Been playing this game long enough to know enough kota spawns that I find him 50% of the time would rather use the slot for something else

I find that Compression Magic kinda useful, but leveing it up is so pointless but funny. I currently have it at lv.7 and i can carry 11 group heals in one slot of the bag

Mixed, I don't mind the perk system granted it does unfortunately make the new vs vet player situation worse because now it's not just a lack of skill or the variation of just having access to other characters that makes a difference but time. Now I do like being able to customize my characters and I do like that getting the memory experience is relatively easy, but I hate hate hate that different costumes have different colors because now balancing this system will be a nightmare where as if all costumes just had the same slots you could just tweak memories.

I am gonna 100 need to study these perks and figure out what will work best with kirishima for both original and now that the new quirkset is dropping.
Kirishima 100% will be a much more interesting character to mess around with in terms of upgrades.
Try playing purple dabi he can counter her a little bit the gamma block all her shots and his alpha can connect in the air she’s slow in the air
