"What a set!"
"Built just for you, Lee"
"You spoil me"
oh man this cast is adorable
really love that one😊😊
It never fails to amaze how convincing actors can be, even when surrounded by bright lights, papier mache, green screens, cameras and booms everywhere, and dozens of onlookers. How can they even keep a straight face? On screen, it's dour skies and forbidding lands, grim scenarios and fell enemies, but then you see the same scene as shot with this indoor stage and people scratching themselves, some no doubt wondering what's for lunch, and you marvel at it all.
I'm wondering the exactly same thing!
@@Lumikuura it's called acting you dumbasses!
2:33 Oh my god it makes me wanna cry how you can hear how old and weak he is just by listening to his voice.
I love how martin was able to put the ring on his middle finger...
Should've been a poster
When I watched the hobbit battle of five armies I was so so so so so so sad when 3 dwarves died
i wish i could work with them
trabalha como viadim deles

Peter Jackson genius director.. Special of vfx created movies lord of the rings, hobbit, king kong land mark movies all time

5:43-5:49 That is so cool.
Best movies western world's movies
This movie was amazing
Love this movie
i love peter jackson for making these and loving them. i accept the fact that some had to be left out on order to make the two trilogies compatable. they are great movies... :'( i hate reality. lol got the special edition book set u feel me.
That's nice.
I can see how the director works with actors.
I was never a fan of cgi....well excess cgi that makes the whole set Dark the whole 3 hrs.
But I have loved Hobbit ....the dwarves grow on you over time.. damn I can't imagine how hard it must be...so many sets
Wtf dude.. I don't know if you know about this, but dragons don't actually exist! So unless you manage to get one you have to you CGI. lol what a fucking moron, complaining about CGI. In a lot of shots you won't be even able to tell if it is a CGI or a real thing because that's how good CGI has got nowadays.
muito bom!!!! gostei muito...beijos Brasil 2020
Very interesting 😁
It's so amazing
i can't wait!!!
Where is sauron!
I need lord of the rings to never end :(
regolas is not cg?
I just realized that i am in love with evangeline lilly
This might be a stupid question, but how on earth did they make the actors who played dwarfs and hobbits look short?
Stunt doubles and computer generated effects as well. They would have the hobbit actors act in front of a greenscreen seperately to Ian Mckellen for example and then shrink the hobbit actors down so that Gandalf appears taller than them. Most of the time when you see a scene with Gandalf and the hobbits close together, all talking, they weren't even in the same room together to film that scene, it was all just brought together through CGI effects.
In the Lord of the Rings movies, the actors who played the hobbits had to kneel as well for close up shots of them. If you remember the Return of the King at the end and they all bowed to them, they were kneeling. They used body and stunt doubles for other scenes and different camera angles to make them look short. I've noticed while Sam and Frodo were walking in the woods, you can tell they were showing their actual height in those scenes and many other scenes when it was more natural. In The Hobbit, they used mostly CGI this time and other times, they used their actual height too as you can tell some of them looked tall, Kili and Fili for being dwarves. Thats probably some of my complaints with the Hobbit movies, too much CGI and heavy makeup in it compared to LOTR's was more natural.
@@shan4883 that isn't true about the keeing stuff. They were shot seperatly in front of a green or blue screen and than scaled down and placed in front of the big actors. Otherwise you are absolutely right about the stunt doubles and forced perspective.
@@fourcgames7568 ah yes it's true. As a very long time fan since the movies came out and watched the interviews and behind the scenes of them talking about kneeing. I wouldn't have said if they didn't. That's a long time memory of them talking about it too. Even my friends and family knew. CGI in The Lord of the Rings wasn't completely used for body doubles. They are kneeing before Aragon at the end of Return of the King and a bunch of other scenes as they are showing half their bodies before they show their stunt doubles bodies. They do both as they had said.
7:50 hahaha orlando :3
Ok peter
That's right
Galadriel in uggs...
My sound is on but there a part that have no sound. What is going on.
why sometimes no sound?
bilbo is quite tall
If they filmed it all on these massive sets, why does the final product looks so fake?
Good movies but I will take Lord of the Rings as much better!
Why is everything filmed with green screen these days :/
If you check out the bonus features of the movie, you'll see that New Zealand was the perfect place to do things without a green screen. But then you have to think about clouds or time of day. They all are factors in this too.
Because, would you believe, dragons don't exist...
You gotta give actors some credit when they have to act with greenscreens; I can't imagine how hard that is.
When you find right men, who can do well with CGI, it is not such of a big deal.
@@RichieLarpa He never said CGI was a big deal in the first place, you do know that he is talking about the ACTORS implementing their acting skills in greenscreen and a scene which is really not there.
@@RichieLarpa don't be a pussy
In 90% of video is Peter Jackson holding a cup of coffee :D
It’s a tea:) he mentioned it in the production vlogs:)
RIP Sir Christopher Lee, the most bad ass gentleman actor from the golden age of film making
I feel really sad for Christopher Lee,everyone do everything together, while he is in other country in front of green screen because he couldn't travel, cause he is 93 now,but he is one of my favorite actors,we couldn't wish for better Saruman :)
He is awesome i got so much respect for him.
***** He's still very old but this is good we have +1 year of life for him.
***** necessary?
The man with the golden staff.
I felt sorry for him, but I watched the behind the scenes footage of him doing his stuff in London, he still had alot of fun doing it, Peter was there and some of the Dwarves even came to meet him. He still had fun
the actor for thorin is great his facial emotion in the third one when he realised how he was acting was amazing. touched my heart. like every damn second of anything lord of the ring
The director looking like a hobbit 😂😂
he is one
@@fred4800 lmao
He is a habbit
I love him
the guy falling off the ladder into the water will always be my favorite thing in the world

3:42 The laugh of rich men.
Ayeeeee lol
What an amazing film that was! So sad to know that there won't be anymore films made in Middle Earth :(
We still have the extended version remaining :D We are meant to have it, and that is an encouraging thought.
Is it impossible to make film adaptations of other Tolkien works like Children of Húrin? I think from that story thay could make awesome films!
Dávid Horváth Yes more films keep them coming but I think the Tolkien family would not allow it as they are not allowing a silmarillion movie.
JonatasMonte Fuck them :)
We just have to wait for Christopher Tolkien to die.
its just a great making and great actors ;) and great director of course ;)
Everyone complaining about all the CGI doesn't follow the behind the scenes well enough. Plus Jackson is still every bit the gung ho, enthusiastic director he's been, and I love his rapport with the cast of great actors. Best Hobbit movie for sure!
Thranduil is such a badass character
Quite sad to hear the passing of Christopher Lee, marvelous actor, he nailed Dracula and Saruman!
He nailed Dracula and Saruman? You mean he fucked them in the ass!!!
I will never forgot this movie
im so sorry :( it scarred you that much?
Do only I think that Legolas looks better (more real and similar to LOTR Legolas) behind the scenes than in done movie (there he looks fake)...?
Feels so weird to see the movie like this :)
Lol, Martin slipped in one of his 'flip off the camera' moments~! Of course, under the guise of putting the One Ring on....~!
Peter Jackson I love you so much you are my favourite Director and you make this world Middle Earth come alive very much so... and you have the best actors for the job! Ps. Don't feel stressed about it you are going to do great!!! RELAX!!! If you can....😊
Whatever he might.
Every time I see Thranduil my heart flutters. He's gorgeous! ♥___♥
Christopher Lee rest in peace. x
I know many fans of LOTR are dissapointed now when Jackson uses more greenscreen like George Lucas, but hey, at least he uses more sets than GL!
Still can't wait to watch this movie in theatres!
fans care about that crap? it's about delivering a great film not about green screen or whatsoever, Peter Jackson and the crew knows what they are doing. let's not make a big deal about this.
I honestly hate how people whine all the time about green screen and CGI. Like, do you want a great movie or not? Its difficult to have practical stuff when your story is fiction.
***** finally someone with a brain. Practically these morons want a fictional film but want a real dragon not CGI.
jettungul24 Thanks for backing me up ha ha! I just don't understand it. For star wars. I think people just use it for a pointless reason to complain about the prequels. They just need to shut up and move on.
***** This is an encouraging thought
Its interesting that in LotR I considered even CGI armies a real think, while in Hobbit I thought EVERY orc was CGI. Now I see I was wrong as I was with LotR and thats sad.
Let's be honest, you didn't search for this but you are still watching 😊
This movie was absolutely magnificent. I'm heartbroken that there is now no more middle earth
Now you got the shadow of mordor games. they're not canon but hey, still more stuff in the tolkien universe.
There was no more Middle-earth... Until this year.
Evangeline Lilly is sooooooooo beautiful!! I'm in love with her.
6:08, look at Richard being Thorin in that awesome golden armor of his(especially his crown!)! love the fluffy fur at the end of his long coat xD
I'm just thinking " haha it's funny how he acts all corrupted but here he's just nicely walking in all his armor normally " it's just funny how he acts like that then in real life... He's thinking " soooo now what?" It's really amazing how charectars can change so much off and on screen
Pinkie Pie LaPointe I know right? :D kinda amazing.
Amazing movie in the greatest series ever (along with lord of the rings).
Green...everything is green...Pure green...Like an emerald city blazing in the horizon...so much green....
and ?
Would you believe that the dragon, trolls and the huge armies of orcs and elves aren't real? Unless you figure out how to get a dragon in a movie that looks this good, than complain about green screen. What a fucking moron.

Thranduil is soooo fucking beautiful!!!😍😍😍😍😍
Question. Has anyone spotted Peter Jacskon's cameo in The Battle of Five armies?
Looking at this makes a movie look terrible but also shows how good the actors
0:54 someones roasting a weenie over the fire lol
Evangeline Lilly is such a underrated actor, she really goes in for everything she does. I want to see her in more movies!!!
I love this movie!!!
Big Thank you for Peter! That adventure was awesome! But is this really a end of Middle Earth? :C But still THANK YOU!
6:37 look Elves laughing at gundabad hahaha
7:04 cute bilbo in the background
He turned into George Lucas.
I love when Orlando says, " This is why I have a T-shirt saying, I do my own stunts....". Priceless😊❤️😊
1:01 It was so weird to see Bilbo the same size as Peter Jackson.
The new hobit movies were dogshit. Too much CGI.

whos going to the Hobbit Marathon at their theater
I'm surprised that Bilbo Baggins talked A LOT on set... He looked like a shy man
pERFECT
Got to watch this in 3D, holy shit it was the best movie ever
Lol, not even close. It's a complete crap in comparison with any of the LotR movies for example. I love Peter Jackson but he simply didn't have time to prepare these film in a way that he prepared the LotR trilogy. Speeking of trilogies - making 3 Hobbit movies is the main reason why it sucks. They basicly took 300 book pages and stretched it into 3 movies which is just a bullshit. Or maybe you want another reason why it sucks? Tell me the names of all the dwarves by heart. I bet you can't even tell how many of them are there. And that's honestly not even your fault, it just shows how poorely the dwarves are written. I think I made it obvious that the Hobbit just sucks or do you want me to go on?
I saw it in 3D with my Papa, we actually saw all three Hobbit Films in theatres, but I remember Desolation and BOTFA the most, I even have my special 3D glasses from Battle of the Five Armies!
I'd say my two favourites of both LOTR and the Hobbit are the Two Towers and The Battle of the Five Armies!
I played this character Behind-the-Scenes of The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug
@
I played this character Gollum (Smeagol)

Doctor Strange - Video 2018
@
2020 now
And i just wanna say that
I dont know if there will be any other movies even close to the hobbit in his 3 parts
Its the most wonderfull amazing and awsome movie of all times
Martin Freeman flipping the bird at 6:00 and nobody notices XD
you gotta admire the rich imaginations of these people in each shot
Who the heck is this female elve, that seems to be pushed to an almost main character? Is there a differant version of the Hobbit out? In the book no mentioning of such a character. In LoR there where already some changes, but not that much that they bothered but in the Hobbit movies, it seems to be totally derailed.
I got a free ticket to the movie and I still feel ripped off.
cry bitch!
I wish they showed the battle when the orcs came rushing out of the mountain towards the elves and dwarves. I want to see their setup so I can get a better idea of how to make battles scenes for my up coming films.
It's pure CGI. I think that there is a program for in which you can simulate battles like this. Ofcourse it's not CGI when it is a close up shot of Thorin fighting but the wide shots are pure CGI.
Will there be any other films after the 5 Armies, the ending got my thinking.
Might try some of that in my sitting room. I've made my own green screen... got the HD cam... It... could... work...yes!
no it couldn't and it won't unless you have a perfect lighting, a DLSR cam and really advanced skills with keying out the green screen, so it isn't that obvious that it is a green screen and very good editing/composing skills in general. By the way did you say that you've made your own green screen? Hate to spoil it for you but the footage will look like an absolute crap, considering that the color will be a different shade in every place. I don't know why people think that you can easily do anything with a green screen. You can't.
wait a minute, wtf? real fire? ok.
Literally screamed when I saw Orlando bloom 😍😍😍😍
That looks like so much fun
