Belgian beer gave me a new found appreciation for what beer could be and taste like and thus, was my gateway into craft beer.
It is a great place to start - varied, often less bitter and usually very complex while still being drinkable.

Lowlander's beer list is amazing. Ed the manager at Lowlander is amazing and very helpful. Worth a visit when your in theatre land
I once had a winking face on my St Bernardus Abt. 12 but i didn't realise just how unique it was untill weeks after when I saw your battle of the 12s video!

I am coming back to watch these older vids. I love you guys and how happy and appreciative you are of the beer and the scenes. Watching the new content for the past year or two I've noticed more cynicism and focus on an academic approach.
A fair comment. I think we are a little wiser to the industry now, but still love it to bits. We definitely shoot a lot less "off the cuff" content, but hoping to get out into the world and have some fun again soon

If you don't already know, there is a pub almost on every street corner in Brussels. Every sports facility has a bar, every restaurant...I think there's one at the hospital too. So, I love this place.

Gin and Beer in Deptford (neighbours to Villages, a personal favourite of mine) has an incredible Belgian beer list as well. Worth a check out!
Also a great bar! Woulda put it in if it was o the walking route!
Best Belgian Beer bar in London is Gin & Beer in Deptford! They actually serve the beer with a bit of love and knowledge and in the correct glassware. Surprise, surprise Beermerchants featured.
Hey. We declared all interest and yes Jonny helped found it and very proud of the place, the people and the fact they too use the right glassware. Gin & Beer is fantastic belgian beer bar though. A great bar in its own right too.

never been a massive fan of belgian beer except from some sours and delirium tremens but its true your taste buds do change and become more cultured
2021 and unfortunately 2 of the venues in the video have now closed down. Shame a big shame, the pandemic has claimed many great pubs and bars in London.
Great to see BM Tap & Lowlander still open.
Hopefully a new video with new locations once the pandemic is out the way.
Many free house pubs & bottle-shops stock a great selection of Belgian beers in London.

if you love belgian beer come to the " Dulle Griet" in Ghent. They have over 500 different belgian beers , it is near my school so i go there often ;)

If you love Belgian beer I's say go to Brugge! same selection as in brussels only a way nicer setting to enjoy them in (full disclosure I am biased as I am from Brugge)
haha - we love Bruges too! Not made a film there yet but we will one day.
Brussels is alright; just stay in the historical centre :P

You can not beat the belgium beer that's why iam off to ghent belgium soon for the famous Gruut beer and other great beers .

As a guy who DESPISES Belgian beer, I still had to watch this video, of course, I doesn't hurt that I smell like boiled grains from making beer today. :+)
You might find a good location for a pub crawl on this side of the pond, in Portland, Maine, they have a good selection of little pubs there. If you do visit us here in New England, give me a shout, I 'd love to show you 'round!
We have done many vids in New England! Not made it as far as portland but wish we had as you have Allagash, perhaps the greatest Belgian style brewery outside of Belgium you lucky people!

We have had Ommegang beers a few times but sadly didn't have time to head out of NYC while we were there. Maybe next time!
