Strike king is definitely my favorite. They’ve got nice lipless cranks, square bills, any size crankbaits, top water, frogs, spinnerbaits, and REALLY good soft plastics like the rage bug, rage craw, etc. and they are a REALLY good price!!!! prefer war eagle spinner baits though.

I just started using a Quantum Pulse Bait caster reel and put it on a Ugly Stick medium heavy spinning rod. Yes I said a spinning rod. The whole combo is under $ 75.00. I have caught a bunch of bass this year on this combo
Didnt know I had to buy a baitcaster rod. So after 3 seasons of Bass fishing. Spring, Summer and Fall its helded up really well. You can go out and spend $ 100 or $200.00 on a combo. But for $75.00 its great. The only different between a spin rod and a baitcaster is the eyes are bigger and no finger hook under the reel. I just hold on to the reel. It works just fine. So go to Wal-Mart and buy a Ugly Stick medium heavy spinning rod with reel. Go buy a Quantum Pulse Bait caster reel . Put it on the spin caster rod. You will see how good it really is. Also you get a spin caster reel to use if you want. Works for both! Shawn

How is your spool tension set on the Tatula ? I've noticed they don't do well with tight spool tension you gotta open em up and they'll shine . That's why Daiwa puts the zero adjuster on the newer reels .

I respect the hell out of you for saying up front kids don't need the most expensive rods and reels out there to go out and catch fish.. real talk that was cool of u I think kids get a misconception these days seeing other people on UA-cam with multi hundred dollar combos thinking they have to have that stuff to keep up with the Jones's or to catch the same fish the next person did.. you have a nice collection no doubt. That's bunch money sitting there but if u work hard u can play hard.. salute!!🤘

    • @FishingWithYakPak

BamaBassFinder04 4 trying to keep up with the Jones’s will break your ass (excuse my French) but I like to preach to these younger ones that you absolutely don’t need expensive stuff to go out and have fun catching fish. That’s something I’ll always stick by. I’ll never push someone to buy something expensive, ever. Thanks for watching brotha!

Did you had that Daiwa Tatula CT paired with the daiwa tatula rod that you said that you didn’t like it?! Maybe that would be the reason because I have one daiwa tatula ct paired with a abu Garcia vendetta 7’MH and I can cross the pond with it if I wanna too.Try out that it maybe help you brother. One thing I found out about daiwa reels is that they have gave me better quality results when the magnetic brake is set on half or higher numbers.. another I would like to add is that daiwa fuego is way better reel than daiwa tatula for the price difference. Keep it up bro! Love your videos

You can catch fish with a tree branch with a line and a hook tied to it and pink yarn as a lure. This is the setup I would use when I was in my teens at the Nisqually River. I'd tie on fishing line to a nice hearty green branch off a deciduous tree tie a hook on the line and then a few 3-inch long pieces of yarn that I would brush out to look like doll hair. The line was about 3 feet long or so. Not much longer than a yard. What you do is dip the hook down into the calm part of a log jam and the next thing you know your branch almost gets yanked out of your hand and you yank that thing out of the water and flip it towards the shore. I would pull out 20 inches + rainbow trout. mostly I catch trout in the log jam but I've pulled Coho Salmon and Steelhead out if I was lucky enough to hook it and yank it before the line gets snapped or the branch gets yanked out of my hands because the strike was too strong and catches me off guard.

My favorite lure for a long while has been the Terminator Pro Series Jig in green pumpkin. Fav reel right now is the Bass Pro Shop Carbonlight 2.0 8.3:1 ratio, which the BPS reels are made by Lew’s. Fav rod right now is Favorite LunkersTV 7’3” x-heavy x-fast rod. Fav line is PLine Tactical. I did pick up a 13 Fishing One 3 Origin C with 6.6:1 its a close second fav reel. Nice collection man, great videos. Just found your channel. Thanks for your service. 🤙🙌

I use it with 40lbs suffix 832 on a shimano curado 201hg and it is my favorite rod and reel I own. I also own 6th sense lux rods, cheap wal mart Berkley rods, a few cheaper daiwa rods, and my reels vary from cheap used to new shimano curado reels and abu revo reels to 15 dollar quantum, pinnacle, abu black max, kastking, to given to me reels. 13 fishing rods are no joke. They’re tough as nails from my experience.

Is there a difference in the lews American hero combo that’s tan vs the one that’s camo?

Used to be an all black one as well, I think the only difference is year model. After a couple years they changed the design. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s correct.

9:12 I think the reason some people aren't big fans of 13 fishing is because some of their lower cost products (ONE3) aren't the best but if you can spend a little extra cash they make some really nice products.
Also I know you talked about the scorpion, and curado DC reels. Is one better than the other, or are they kinda the same?
Keep the videos coming, looking forward to the next 30 days

Henry now that I do agree with! And In all honesty I’d say the Curado DC is probably better, because the reel itself feels beefier imo.

Nice review of you Rods and Reels bud. Mix and Match combos are what us budget guys have to do. You get what you can get when you can get it. I don't think you can go wrong with Favorite rods or 13 Fishing reels. I spoke with a fairly famous UA-camr and he swears by 13 Fishing rods and reels because he is rough on the equipment and needs it to last. He may not like the color choices of some of their stuff but still likes the quality.

I can’t pick just one brand!! Lol but do use the h2o or strike kinghard baits, zoom plastics or strike king plastics , war eagle or kvd spinner baits, chatter baits brand chatter bait. I have 3 13 fishing concept a reels on fate black rods.. also a 13 fishing fate chrome 7,3 cranking with a kastking assassin reel and it’s awsome. Then I run lews reels and rods and couple falcon rods. I have 2 the tp1 lewis 7,3 heavy rods thing r hell I’ve stiff!! Lol
