Just bought the Milwaukee corded hammer drill today to break up concrete around porch support posts. It’s a beast and it’s the smaller one. Super impressed with it.
Thats awesome brother! Honestly my milwaukee rotary hammer is one of my favorite tools to use. The power is incredible. I think I appreciate it so much because of all the years of using my standard drill in hammer mode haha.
I'm trying to decide between milwaukee's corded and M18 fuel. How often are you having to swap out the battery for longer jobs? I need one specifically for tile removal and thinking the corded might be better for all day use.
I think you would be fine, especially with a HD battery, I have gone cordless and love it, but I hate cords, if they don’t bother you then it’s a toss up. Battery technology has come along way. I bet an 8 amp hr would last most of the day 👍
I’m looking to do about 1,000 tapcons. Just star 3/16. Nothing wild. Would the 5/8 be just meh or plenty? I’m just not sure if the 1in is that big of a difference? I’m feeling like yes but not sure.
@@AMAYERICAN installing Gladiator wall panels in the garage to concrete blocks. I picked up the 5/8ths. Just waiting for the panels. I think it will be better than my hammer drill. And the 1 in seems overkill.
@bnazzaro21 that’s awesome, if you start snapping off tapcons when driving them in change your bit, took me a long time to figure that out lmao, pretty obvious to me now… but even the nice bits wear out faster then you think. Those drill driver kits are pretty handy as well. Think Milwaukee makes them as well as tapcon
Excellent, high-quality hammer drill (HD18HX) (that I found in the trash? Thrown away because it didn't work in every position? I dipped the trigger in brake cleaner fluid and now it works like new. Thanks to those who throw away good things like this... Greetings from Switzerland
Awesome find ! Thanks for taking the time to comment ! Guessing you are in the trades? What’s working in Switzerland like? Man it’s beautiful there ! On my bucket list !
@@AMAYERICAN Thank you very much for your quick reply. I happen to be a Milwaukee Fan because I have come to the conclusion that Milwaukee has the best electronics built into Li-Ion batteries. Why? Because when I change old or defective cells, I don't have to replace the electronics of the battery (BMS). After replacing the cell, the LED turns on and off (the battery is locked), but when I put it in the intelligent Milwaukee charger, it rechecks the battery, unlocks it and works like a new one. I love it the most when I get freebies or buy super-cheap broken" M18/12Ah that can't be fully charged. I am a 1-man company, founded in 1985, I produce one product. Swiss (I'm not) say it's the best on the market. Who knows, maybe one day my product will have the Milwaukee sign (two best together) in addition to other well-known companies? Best regards
@Popajaja that’s awesome, I have a few 12 Ah batteries that won’t take a full charge, so is the intelligent charger your talking about something you invented ? That’s incredible! Do you have a website or social media page? Very cool !!!

8 ah all day, but I have noticed the 8 and 12 ah Milwaukee batteries burn out after 3 to 4 years. They no longer hold a full charge. Will only charge up to 3 bars on the indicator
masterforce from menards, may look goofy but man they are awesome. Stay put/ actually comfortable, and have plenty of cushion. I forget Im wearing them.
it didn't seem to me that the milwaukee M18 fuel, works noisier without a wire, even at idle
Home depot has this as a bare tool now for $330, I love the compact size and power so I guess I'm all in.
You won’t be disappointed, I look forward to when I get to use it haha.
Fits perfectly in a slim pack out fyi
Good job bro nice reviews

@@AMAYERICAN good to know. Thanks man
Its a good rotary hammer drill but when taking a hacking , corded more faster..chx good for drilling or hacking soft brick not concrete
We’re you using a 2amp in that at first? Hopefully while another battery charges haha!
3 amp high demand I believe, love those batteries but yeah definitely better using the 5 and up 👌. Thanks for watching !
What knee pads are you wearing
Master craft from Menards, I have seen a few other companies make similar ones tho, they work great !

is this tool suitable for removing floor tile?
Yes but depending on how much you may want to get a bigger one
How long would battery last
8 ah all day, but I have noticed the 8 and 12 ah Milwaukee batteries burn out after 3 to 4 years. They no longer hold a full charge. Will only charge up to 3 bars on the indicator
Wait til a piece takes out some glass, plywood is cheap.

1/2 “ Foam is cheaper
What is the model name of the corded one?
Ahh man it’s my buddies I’m not sure sorry
What brand are your pants? Are they durable?
True werk and yes I love them, I wear the t 2 year round 👍
289 at Home Depot and and includes and angle grinder.
Smoking deal I paid 320 I think a few years back if memory serves. Still one of my favorite tools
who makes the knee pads?
masterforce from menards, may look goofy but man they are awesome. Stay put/ actually comfortable, and have plenty of cushion. I forget Im wearing them.
@@AMAYERICAN they look very comfortable and seem like they don't slide around.
bro, why don't you use the original standard 5ah battery, of teh weight 12 ah battery😜
I do use my 3 ah most of the time when drilling for tapcons
Does this take the 12ah battery?
Yes 12 would work, I am a fan of the 3 ah batteries tho, you get great run time out of them even on the rotary hammer
@@AMAYERICAN 3ah drilling 32mm holes in brick?
Yep, I will run a 8 max, I just don’t care for the weight but some guys don’t mind. I’ve found no drop in performance running smaller batteries
Sort your shirt out it looks ridiculous
