At parties in my youth I asked for.. "I will only play one song and played this one.. lol" 28 minutes of own time. This album was took my Manowar virginity and always going to be my referece and favorite. Whimps an posers leave the hall... :)
It's a killer album! Even without Ross the Boss.. didn't believe they could ever top Kings of Metal but Triumph of Steel was at least quite as good, but different. Today it's the album i like to listen the most..

Thank you for this review, I saw Manowar back in the 90''s at Harpo's in Detroit MI, and it was amazing! Louder than Hell!! (even pulled up the stage carpet!)
The bass solo towards the end is lunacy on a fretboard. Love the song, though!

Some say they are still playing that song. The 90's were awesome, good times.
They played it when l saw them in Oslo'94. I think the bas and drum solos are too long or should been managing in another way.

You can't go wrong if you react to anything from their first seven records like: Dark Avenger, Secret Of Steele, Each Dawn I Die, Mountains, Defender, Hail And Kill or The Power Of Thy Sword!
This entire song is almost just an intro to the last part of the song, the glory of Achilles.
Alot of the reasoning for so many solo instruments was to showcase 2 new members that were added on this album
Fellow Greek manowarrior here that lives in Liverpool. This tune is fucking madness. Can't go wrong. The last part Glory of Achilles is just pure speed massacre. Hail ManOwaR death to false metal

Hhave to give you props for reacting to all of this. There are a few bits that are definitely too long but overall it is great. For some upbeat tempo Manowar try house of death or call to arms or thor the powerhead.

I had a metal radio show (The Morning Mosh Pit) in college when this came out. I had a test I needed to study for so I put this on and got to study without interruption for half my show.
I Love ManOwaR, but I have to agree with you about the solo parts being a bit too long.

23.28 starts the best part and later when there seems to be an guitar battle. Thats
the why the drum and the bass solo seems to be to long. It just wants to rock you
to sleep while preparing you for the grand finale... just my opinion..
