Riviera maya has had an update as you mentioned, because it was not as up to date as the Mexico Palace. So now they are comparable inside. However I still give the edge to the palace Mexico as it has a much nicer tree section near the beach. You can *always* find tree shade at the Mexico. That was important to me,but if you’re not a beach person and prefer the pool only, then Riviera is newer and fresher so it may appeal on that front. Ps. I have never been disappointed with a Palace. They are a great brand.
Looks EXACTLY like the room at the Riu Palace Peninsula. If you get a Suite at the Riu Palace Mexico there is a jacuzzi on the balcony. The Suites at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya are updated but don't have a Jacuzzi on the balcony.
You walk out of the shower into the bathroom area, which is open to the rest of the room. No, there is not much privacy- it’s a very open concept room. It worked fine for us as a couple, but something to keep in mind if travelling with a family/children.
Generally the superior category gets you a room the is located in a preferred place or with a better view. Eg. They might have a partial ocean view or be on a higher floor.
This is an AMAZING tour, thank u so much!!
Thanks for watching! 😊😊

Agreed! We’ve loved both RP Mexico and Riviera Maya 👌🏻

I was just saying that to Mona yesterday. Thanks for that tip re: the jacuzzi! I was wondering that.
Thanks again for another amazing video- question- what is an acceptable amount of money to tip at the end of the trip?
We would usually tip a few dollars per day or what ever you feel comfortable with based on the service 👍🏻
Does the shower walkout into an open area? Is their no privacy wall or partition when dressing and un dressing?

Are there slippers in the room?
Not that we saw 🤷🏼♀️
What’s the difference of Junior Suite and Junior Suite Superior?

Interesting 🤔 the lack of privacy is a negative for a girls trip or trip with kids. Guess you can dress in the shower if your the modest type.
Yup 🤷🏼♀️ haha 😆
