Mommy's World is a place to find all kinds of dolls and insanity.. As an adult collector of dolls and toys, I have lots and lots of cute collectibles. Barbie dolls are my favorite with Monster High being a close second. Ever After High ended too soon and I love American Girl dolls as well as Journey Girls dolls.

I am telling my daughter to watch this as soon as she wakes up! This video is just what she needs to see. She is 10 and my husband and I took her to the American Girl doll store in July. She was soooo excited about it for months before we went and was so happy she finally got to go and have a day of shopping, eating at the cafe, and just celebrating being a girl! So, I was surprised when we went to her open house at school last night and when her teacher asked her what she did over the summer she didn't tell her teacher that she went to the American Girl store. I asked her later why she didn't and she said she was "a little" embarrassed. I asked her if she thought she was too old and she said, "No, but I think other people might think I am." That broke my heart! 💔 I literally lost sleep over this last night because I am so sad that she feels embarrassed for loving dolls. I always use you as an example to both of my daughters (they are 10 and 14) that you never have to grow up, that you can love dolls and other toys and whatever else makes you happy for as long as you want, and not to care what other people think of you. I know they know this because I have told them that since they were very young, but they are at that age where what other people think of them matters, so I get it. I just never want them to give up what makes them happy for the sake of others. So, thank you for being you and showing my daughters that you are never "too old" for dolls. And yay for Journey Girls coming back! My youngest will be so happy about that (even if she won't admit it to her friends and teachers because she's embarrassed 😂) because she was so disappointed when Toys R' Us closed and she couldn't get Journey Girls anymore. 😊
Awwwww.....it's hard at that age, but following your own path is really empowering. I hope they try staying true to themselves a little bit
I’m a teenager and I’m not afraid to tell my new friends about my AG doll collection/hobby! My friends even ask if they can play American girl dolls with me when they come over my house! Show your daughter this comment and make sure to remind her that she can be who she wants to be and not have to worry about how other kids take it.

I wish my mom was like you, I'm 12 and my parents won't let me even think about buying toys because "I'm over that phase". I only said I stopped playing with toys because they kept making fun of me for it.

I bought Ilee for my daughter this Christmas. I was really disappointed on her scalp she has so many bald spots it just the minimum amount of hair. But the dolls are very pretty.

I gotta say that your video got me a little open minded to the journey girl line up cause for my 29 th birthday I was planning on getting my first ag doll that I never got as a kid but my mom suggested a journey girl a and I'm still not happy about that if I have to swap JG clothes for AG historical clothes to dress her up in so be it. Better then nothing I suppose just to overcome my disappointment mentally . I just wish AG wasn't too pricey

Their hair is nice and they have good quality clothing, but I've never been a fan of toddler dolls. Besides that, the whole "toddler dressed as a teen/adult" thing is kinda creepy, much more so than the typical "creepy baby dolls". But hey, that's just my 2 cents. Kudos to those that like em. Too bad it's not something that's actually cool like OG Monster High making a comeback, but hey, one can dream, right? xP

These dolls have the most gorgeous faces and hair. The only turn off for me are those skinny legs. I wish they were thicker. Then i would call them perfect dolls.

Order the doll on amazon prime and got a fake doll on poor condition all the color are off the hair is partly bold and no pink in the hair the moment i saw her i knew this was not the doll i ordered. Grave disappointment.
