    I have a jade plant that got way too tall for its pot (it was probably about 18 inches tall) and they were quite leggy, falling over even though I had staked them, etc. I tried to repot it intact, but that didn't work out AT ALL. So I followed these instructions and I have had really wonderful success. I now have 2 big pots of jade that are growing very vigorously, and I'm being much more aggressive about snipping off the tops to encourage more growth and branching (and then I turn those tops into - you guessed it - more plants!). They look great! Thank you!

    believe it or not this is EXACTLY what i was looking for! we have succulents in the office that grew without direct or indirect sunlight and became very leggy so now that we're in a new location with direct morning light, i've wanted to propagate using the really leggy ones. thanks!

    This video makes me SOOOO happy :) I just started planting only because I wanted to decorate my back deck and saw succulents and had the idea to put them on my wall. They are growing like crazy and i want them to remain small the way I bought them. In comes your video. Thank you. NEW SUB!

    I heard you could pick up succulent leafes, throw them on earth and they will root into a new plant.
    Didn't work for me, with the ones I kept dry. BUT, the ones I kept in a plant house with "moist air", are doing insane after just 2 weeks! Even normal LEAFES grew white air roots on their sides. THIS IS AMAZING
    I just feel like some biology wizard, lol. Very helpfull video! Good tips in there! Remember; mine did best with little watering but most important WET AIR in a almost closed container!

      All plants seem to need humidity to shoot some roots. You can also put clear wrap over a glas with water and cut small holes in them. Then put the leaves in the hole so the top still sticks out and you'll also get roots really quick

    • @ExpeditionHomestead
      @ExpeditionHomestead  6 років тому +1

      you know what you could actually do is take off the leaves to the stem goes all the way to the bottom, them put one little drop into the bottom and place the succulent in and then soil. what that will do is hold the succulent in place until the roots start growing and then the damaged area from the hot glue will just rot away with no issues!

    So... you're not "fixing" these plants, you're just propagating them. Seems like kind of misleading title on this video.

      steve rosse no, when you cut down the leggy succulents you provide the plant with stronger growth at the base resulting in a happier healthier plant.

      @@ExpeditionHomestead Your very welcome. Plants tend to die under my care so I'm trying to turn my black thumb into a green one. I have little success so far.
