Dead Space is a 2023 survival horror video game developed by Motive Studio and published by Electronic Arts. A remake of the 2008 game of the same name developed by EA Redwood Shores, it was released on January 27, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. It is the first release in the Dead Space series since 2013's Dead Space 3. The game received generally favorable reviews.

Dead Space Remake - Final Boss & Ending NO DAMAGE Hard Difficulty
I love how the dialogue adds such a punch to Isaac emotions. In the original, it was subtly hinted that Isaac was suicidal and depressive at the start of the game (the lore previously explains that he's going through some rough hardships), so, after losing Nicole, and now his entire team and experiencing the mos disturbing shit in the universe, he has nothing else to lose.

@@goose2323 Isaac in the OG Dead Space was a silent protagonist so with him being a fully-voice character in this game he has plenty of badass lines but this is by far the most badass. My adrenaline skyrocketed for this fight after hearing that 🤌
I actually quite like how they changed Kendra's motivations up for this remake.
i hate it. kendra was a psychopath in the original. which was perfectly fitting for how messed up everything was in the original game.
HATE that they removed the earsplitting shriek this thing makes
And the tensing music before that *thing* emerges.
Wish they did what they did in the original and kept the hive mind itself a secret till the end, or at least its size.
I remember when I first played this. I was so upset at the end because I got hit once against the final boss
I am having so much trouble with that final part where you're held upside down. Trying to aim at the final weak spot before you're eaten is a pain.

Bro hearing Issac now in this dead space was so emotional. Especially in this battle. Hearing him shout out “Come on then! ‘Cause This is all I got left!” Was so nerve racking and so badass. By far one of my favorite games
I just loved Isaac's facial model here, like he was an actual middle-aged man trying to solve an amazing mystery
"This is all I got left" hits hard, but the appearing of the Hive mind in full size in the original felt more terrifying with that shriek
For the people that are complaining the game is 15 years old you've had plenty of time to beat it lol

I love everything about the remake of this fight... except for the sounds boss makes. Sound dull and generic compared to high pitched whistle of the original, that haunted me days after finishing the game. This one is just not it.
If you leave those exploding sacks intact you can skip 1 or 2 phases of the fight as one or two of these bad boys will kill pretty much all the eggs inside the hive mind.

Here’s what I would say if i was the head of EarthGov.
(Later, in a press conference on Earth…)
Me: Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for your attendance. A few days ago, i received grim news concerning the disappearance of the USG Ishimura and it’s crew. The ship had fallen victim to a mysterious pathogen while on an unsanctioned mining expedition in the orbit of Aegis VII.
It’s point of origin was a mysterious artifact known to Unitologists as The Marker. They believed that this Marker would bring salvation and peace across the galaxy.
But the lone survivor of this ordeal, a man named Isaac Clarke, has shown that it is anything but.
When the Marker was activated, it shredded the mental sanity of the crew, causing them to suffer terrifying hallucinations and unleashed a brutal wave of frenzied religious violence.
The pathogen that had been released was far more horrifying. It turned the corpses of the slain into vicious monsters that Mr. Clarke has named Necromorphs.
It pains me greatly to say that none of the Ishimura’s crew survived this horror, neither did the crew of the USG Kellion that came to assist, nor that of the USM Valour, which fell victim due to a Necromorph emerging from one of the Ishimura’s escape pods.
To ensure that this plague never leaves Aegis VII, i have ordered that the Ishimura be destroyed in orbit as to permanently eliminate it. Furthermore, i have ordered that the CEO of the CEC be detained for criminal negligence and for all it’s operations to be under EarthGov supervision and finally, that Unitology be outlawed and all it’s members arrested.
May God comfort those in mourning and may the souls of the deceased live on in His Kingdom. Thank you all.
You'd make a better leader than whoever runs EarthGov in the games by a long shot.
I'd agree if you were my political leader, but the real truth is that earthgov knew about the red marker 100 years ago and hid it deep within the planet and sanctioned aegis VII off and covered it with red tape
Am I the only one who find the sound effects way less impactfull than the original? Monster screams and gunshot sounds?
Yes you are
No you are not. The hive mind's original high pitched screams were haunting and I preferred his more bony appearance. The original cutter sounded much more powerful and the monsters sound so generic now. Just compare the explosive ones, it's ridiculous.

This boss didn't age well. They should've changed it's mechanics and made it have multiple phases. It would've been far cooler. The dev's also completely ruined the sound design of this game. The sound of this fight is haunting in the original, this remake is very dull.

Dude this game is almost old enough to drive, it is by no measure a game you haven't had a chance to already play. You had 15 years to explore the plot, it isn't on us if you chose not to do it
Completely glitched game. A half-assed "remake" that doesn't deserve the name "remake". It's a glorified remaster, full of glitches and bugs and performance issues. Once more, disappointing.
It’s the best remake to date I’m on ps5 and it ran smooth only thing that was wrong was the textures on ps5
