Thank you for documenting these ruins that may not be around much longer. Every time I see these remote mines in harsh climates, I'm amazed at the stamina and strength those miners had.
Hi, I am really enjoying watching your video's, I have watched about half of them so far. I loved the first video showing all of the now dilapidated cabins etc and the mine itself in this episode really looks epic but I totally agree when you said that you wouldn't go into the mine because no-one knew you were there, a very sensible and wise decision. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 💖
It's amazing to see, what people were ready to do only for an idea or promise to get rich.Amazing vlog, which is worth to follow.👍🇺🇸Greatings from Germany
Can I say “I really appreciate your videos.” ? After watching I hit my USGS California & Nevada Index’s and order a map. Also there is “tons” of buried historical information to “mine” if one is interested in carrying this further. I just love the Mojave/Great Basin....visiting the “real” outdoors & researching history in the library. Love human history! In the absence of drone use one can always go to Google Earth. The monster eye in the sky. Currently making the attempt to map out all the abandoned RR line’s in the sw desert.
I enjoy History and exploring, but where I live not to many places, I love Death valley and Mojave desert. It's just nobody by me enjoy the same passion. I was out at both places by New Mexico and Nevada 3 weeks on a solo road trip. Went and seen a few places but it's always nice to go with someone else .
Interesting video, brought back some very 'old' memories... About 30 years ago I 'explored ' that area and visited the Monarch, Morehouse and the Rob Roy mines. All three are relatively close to each other.. Doesn't look like much has changed :).........
Like you video, how old is this mine? These mines are very sketchy at best....Guessing this was a gold mine.? I dident understand about the drone?..Its against the law?....WHY?............The scenery is breathtaking.......Thanks.............JB......
Glad to see part 2 boy the mining was sure big .Why do people complaine about breathing Hard it goes with the steep hiking of which they are Not doing it adds to the filming .keep up the Great adventures Cjd wash state .👍❤️
I thought you said earlier in the first video that it was copper and silver? Was talc worth enough when this mine was running to warrant a huge operation like that?

man, I can't imagine the hard life the men working those mines had to of had. There aren't many these days who could do it.
Great vidieo love it

Nice cadence when exploring. Thanks
That is a large a large mine. Love it now on to the next,
Any idea when this mine was active? Suspect a long time ago given the condition of the wooden trestles.

Did you work a job that let you visit all these places or have you just stumbled across them for years?

Drone usage in National Parks is forbidden.
@@martinbatistelli Thanks, thats too bad.................
Great question. I feel like I see a lot of drone footage though in park/remote areas? Just interesting that it would be outlawed of all places…
You don't want to fool with that place in the summer

do you know if the miners took any soap stone out of there? thank you for taking us along
I don't believe so.
@@DesertTrailsExplored thank you, that was a great trip you took us on, it was beautiful, great video
Your welcome
What did they produce at that mine?
Talc
I thought you said earlier in the first video that it was copper and silver? Was talc worth enough when this mine was running to warrant a huge operation like that?
The manpower and blood and tears and lumber it took to make that it all had to be hauled in there were so soft as people now days its sad.
This mine has a pretty big footprint on Googlemaps.
Why are drones not allowed in national parks ?
The NPS banned drones in national parks because they can be disturbing to both people and to wildlife.
@@MrYuk-xp4bl , thanks for response, did they give a reason ?
@@jimrossi7708 I think he gave you the reasons.
Why can't you record on a drone??
This site is in Death Valley and it is illegal to fly a drone in the National Parks.
Oh, ok thanks. Do you know why?
Because some drone owners were fools.
So what's the story with no flying? They alow people to drive all the old roads but no flying?
You are not allowed to fly drones in National Parks. It is an expensive ticket.
@@DesertTrailsExplored ok I had no idea what about regular Airplanes?
Nobody knows I'm here, which is the #1 no-no for desert exploring...then walks on 100 yr old rickety scaffolding over a hundred foot drop!!! Lol
I've been there. It's not rickety. I went farther. You can feel the vibrations of your footsteps.
I just have to ask?.....what and why are you not allowed to fly a drone in death Valley?
You can't fly in National Parks, National Monuments, Wilderness Areas, or National Heritage sites. I understand why they do it.
why can't you fly a drone in Death Valley?
All National Parks have some kind of no-drone law.
Shame they don't have pics of it when it was in full swing..whoever thot talc was worth anything.
Put up dark glasses on
KOOOL I MAST GO THEAR..JMM.
looks like Delamar
I think you need some snake bite protective leggings or boots, you walk by so many bushes, boards, rock resting areas of snakes.
For the short time Europeans have been here ,they sure made and left a mess
I'd like to know who gives you the thumbs down there jerks
Get a tote goat..or electric atv
Nowadays you can get in trouble for using your imagination
Drones are legal now in all National Parks.
No, they are not..

Enjoy your videos , the heavy breathing not so much. Get in shape or turn off sound when walking sounds like your going to have a heart attack.
