The reason the gun soldiers have such a glitchy collision seems to be caused becease the devs forgot to give it any collision mapping resulting to fall back to the default

I actually came across a few by accident when I was younger. I remember fat thumbing the buttons on the GameCube and accidentally doing the checkpoint glitch. When I saw shadow flying through the entire stage I remember telling all my friends about it and no one believed me
That glitch happens constantly on the PS2 version for me, and my disc is buffed out of any potential scratches (I bought it that way). It usually happens in several indoor levels when you're going through it as fast as possible (I have over 100 hours with the game, so my speed is pretty damn refined). Considering the PS2 version can also have 30 second load times, I think it's just the PS2 in general being unable to keep up due to its relatively low power. You might be right on other versions of the game, but I don't know.
1:20 I've... actually had this glitch before. Had it happen as a kid actually unintentionally and wondered why I was never able to destroy the balloon afterwards, lmao. Good times. And yeah, the Chaos Control glitch is super fun to speedrun with. It's not much of a trick, but it's just pretty satisfying tbh. P.S, The game should ONLY crash if you don't cancel the checkpoint menu before hitting the goal trigger. So you know.
I'm pulling this info out of years old vague memories, so I could be wrong, but I recall that Chaos Control Glitch crashing was actually pretty consistent, like a 1/6 to 1/20 chance or so. I wasn't performing it myself, but I have this clear memory of one of the top runners getting frustrated at it happening for what seemed to be random.
At 5:23 Evil Shadow be like: “Do you know where’s that pretty sparkly Gem? I have 3 of them but I’m looking the 4th one with my Bat Friend Rouge, please help us find them😊”
It's not. A lot of people are releasing Shadow content either to coincide with the Shadow dub or just because the Sonic 2 movie just released for purchase
@@AlphaOblivion7 Gotta play the system, when something big happens anything that's even tangentially connected has a good chance of being boosted by the algorithms.
Hell no, the Adventure games are less glitchy than this. In Heroes I've never had parts of the stage not load in or the game crash. I've never heard someone say this is one of the more polished games before this video.
@@TheTrueMasterOfTomfoolery Either Colors or Generations. Polish overall isn't just how few glitches a game has imo, it's also about how well the game functions. In that regard I'd also pick the Wii Version of Unleashed because it doesn't lag like hell compared to the HD Version, which even though it mostly runs well at 60fps on Xbox GamePass, the music sometimes cuts out. Lost World never explains the Parkour system well and it doesn't consistently function that good the whole time, along with the half-assed Mario gimmicks, so I don't consider that polished either, despite also having a solid 60fps.
For his 200th son of a glitch episode he should use the original intro when it shows the son of a glitch logo and then it says son of a glitch that would be so nostalgic and that would be cool af
That "Charmy, we need to have a talk about your morals" had me wheezing. It was nice to see a video about this game even if I know practically nothing about it (I really want a chance to play it at some point but likely never will unfortunately)
Thank you both for the suggestions. We do have a PS2 but not the money to try to buy the game off of Ebay or anything. As for the emulation... I've been wanting to get into that but it'd most likely have to wait until after my new computer is set up as it's an actual gaming computer. I'll see what I can do at some point
I remember a glitch similar to the Egg Balloon one in the stage where the Dark mission was to destroy the President's plane. If you successfully destroy the plane and then jump into a bottomless pit immediately after, you'll respawn right at the beginning assuming you haven't activated any checkpoints. However, the game still assumes you've done the mission and awards you a clear time of 0 minutes and 0 seconds. Shadow the Hedgehog sure was a silly game, but I had fun with it back then.
I remember as a child really enjoying playing Shadow the Hedgehog on the Gamecube. I haven't played it since but have recurring memories every so often and find myself wanting to replay it for nostalgia's sake. Maybe this is a sign to do just that, but I'll have to purchase someone else's copy as my 'Cube and the game itself are no longer functioning. Tragic, I know. Thanks for the memories, Andy. Will always eagerly await the next upload.

Always enjoy watching these episodes cos everything about them is really well done and can't wait to see more Best of luck and I wish you the best on the climb to 1 million subs :)
I have played this game when I was little and many of the glitches I had done myself by mistake. Like the floating box, Maria walking sideways and the endless fall in a no death plane area. The last one was mainly because my physical disc was scratched and stuff I would guess tho. But overall no big glitches
This game is one of my biggest guilty pleasures. I know it sucks, I know it's repetitive despite of it's admirably cool idea of having branching story paths, which increases it's replay-ability. Not to mention the reuse of bosses. But I just can't help but put it high on my most loved sonic games. It's just so funny. Not to mention, I just love the idea of gunplay in sonic games. If it wasn't an afterthought, I could've seen this game being very unique and cool gameplay wise. It's unique, but it's for the wrong reason. I still love this game due to it's genuinely fun level design.
Heroes does it too, but much worse. This one still does it, but it's toned down a fair bit thankfully. I mean, I don't miss landing in Heroes and suddenly flying off the side because I looked at the thumbstick lmao
That glitch in the Ark where you can jump over rooms is pretty much what I like to do in Cryptic Castle. The bit near the start where Shadow has to lift a panel and jump down a hole can instead be used to reach a secret area early by running towards the panel and jumping at the right moment.
Also regarding the Chaos Control Glitch. When performing it, DO NOT SELECT A CHECKPOINT TELEPORT. It will crash your game. To safely end the glitch just cancel out of the menu with the B button when Shadow comes to a complete stop, and don’t press any controls for 2 seconds
I love this game so much. It wasn’t the best, but I LOVE the way everything looks in this game. And I honestly think the story concept was cool, just didn’t hit as well as it could’ve sue to the split story shenanigans.
The nostalgia. I think I did the Black Bull Chaos Control glitch but it's been many years since I played this game. I've 100% everything, including Super Hard mode, all except missing some hidden gold keys in space missions and getting all the mission route names.
There was a missed glitch on the black comet level. There are different warp portals that will send you to different sections of the level. The first area is right next to the very last area you warp to when you are getting to the end of the level. Go up the dash pad on the right and go across the platforms on the left where the warp portal is, turn around and spin dash at an angle so that you go out of bounds. You know you've done it right if you angle it right next to the alien beating heart looking things. Make sure to have chaos control at least half full and use it to skip the other parts of the stage. This is a speed running strategy that is used often to save time. Still confused? ua-cam.com/video/64IHhBcwJqw/v-deo.html here's a link to a speedrun. It happens at 52:08-52:31 The spin dash also can be used in many different ways when it is usually though of as an afterthought. Hope this helps, have a great day!
Welp I don't find why you're not uploading, hope you're ok. If you're on new projects (I see you've had some minor roles recently in sonic origins & some fan games) I hope you enjoy it nerd!
I once encountered that infinite falling glitch in my personal time playing because of a corridor not being completely solid, had to restart/exit the stage because of it.
There are a few more glitches I've found: Vector spawning in Cosmic Fall Expert Mode: for whatever reason, if you go to the end of the stage where the Computer Room and Goal ring have been moved, if you die after getting the checkpoint, Vector will appear as your mission partner and it will do the intro for meeting a character the first time, when you normally play the stages in this mode solo, with the side cast commentating on you. Cutscene glitch: I find the Death Ruins Black Bull glitch to work more consistently on the Cosmic Fall and Final Haunt Black Doom fights. If you do it after beating him in story mode, Shadow will yell: "HAAAAA, BEHOLD THE ULTIMATE POWER!" one more time when the screen fades to black, and when the final cutscene before the credits starts, the filter over the screen when Chaos Control is activated is still going. The Chaos Emeralds are also discolored as a result. Out of bounds in Black Comet: right before the first warp hole, there are a couple of circular objects where if you spin dash into one at just the right angle, you'll clip through the floor and from out of bounds you can actually see the other level segments you naturally go to are right next to each other, and if you use Chaos Control, it will take you straight to the final section where the crushing platforms and downwards spiral section are, meaning you'll only have to use the glitch on a checkpoint once, as CC normally stops before each warp hole. Black Comet Saucer Duplication: If you start the stage from Select Mode, the character intro for Black Doom will play, but if you position Shadow in just the right spot where the button prompt to jump on the saucer appears, after triggering the cutscene, Shadow will be standing on one, but there will still be one visible in its place after you move. I discovered it in another UA-cam video, but I haven't tried it out myself yet, so I don't know if the saucer actually duplicates or if it's just visual. Glyphic Canyon Hero Mission glitch: Like the ones in Lethal Highway, it's possible to complete the objective, but in a way that won't end the stage. If you go behind the locked door which has a Black Volt you can fly on, if you get rid of its health, while it does give you points, your mission partner won't react until it becomes rideable. If you jump off and die before the stage ends, it will still show 60/60 enemies defeated, but the stage will still keep going. I think you just have to beat one more enemy and the stage will end though, so you won't have to restart completely like the other 2. Cryptic Castle monster glitches: There are 2 of them. The first one, is if you speed up enough by button mashing, you'll despawn it allowing you to go backwards all the way to the beginning of the grind section until it spawns again. It's nice if you miss the key and don't want to do the whole section again. The second one is you can actually get behind it if you're invincible and jump, letting it pass under you. If you get to the end of the rails however, you'll die immediately. Air Fleet 0 time glitch: Like with the Hero missions of Lethal Highway and Iron Jungle, you jump off before the stage ends. However, instead of the mission being softlocked, the game will simply reset your score and gauges like dying normally, but your time will also be displayed at 0, which gives a free 50,000 point time bonus that the game always awards if you beat a mission in under 90 seconds. If you activated the checkpoint though, your time will go back to what it was at when you activated it, so avoid the checkpoint entirely if you want 0 time. I've done it only once in Lethal Highway and I think Iron Jungle, but it works most consistently on Air Fleet. The timing is as soon as you see the Escape Pod do its final explosion or until you no longer hear the "TINK!" Sound effect it makes when shooting it. Sky Troops Chaos Control: at the end of the stage where you fly on the black alien, normally your Chaos Control stops and won't activate, but if you jump off past the ledge, you can use it again and it will go until the large tunnel you can run on. DO NOT use it next to or after the locked door past the Black Volt or else it won't last and you'll die. Iron Jungle Egg Breaker sliding glitch: I can't remember exactly how I did it, but after getting rid of half the boss's health making it jump off of the central area, it started sliding around the outside of the ring really fast for no reason until I got up close to it again forcing it to attack. Vacuum Egg visual glitch: normally when using the weapon on enemies, it will give you points and fill the corresponding gauge immediately before the enemy is sucked in. If you only have 1 use left and it fills up your gauge completely before the enemy is actually sucked in, Shadow will still be holding the weapon, but you'll have 0 ammo and be unable to use it. It will only disappear once the gauge runs out. Satellite Laser switch activation: it might not be a glitch specifically, but it still seems unintended for the stages it works on. You can lock onto switches with the weapon to activate them like touching or shooting them directly, but it works on switches behind doors. There's one right next to the special weapons crate in The Doom near where you showed off clipping through the ceiling, which when combined with filling up your Hero gauge, will allow you to finish the neutral mission in under a minute if you use Chaos Control in the right spot in front of another locked door behind a broken wall. The switch is however removed in Expert Mode, meaning you have to clip through the ceiling instead. The other place it works is Cosmic Fall behind the locked door that normally requires the 5 keys, meaning you don't have to collect them anymore. I've also had the game crash because the stage hadn't loaded in yet playing Air Fleet. The Egg Balloon not being destroyed can also happen with the Black Alien Tank in Lethal Highway. I normally don't ask for my comments to be pinned, but I would appreciate it for the glitches and tricks I've discovered and may still discover that weren't in the video.
One glitch I discovered when I was younger was that you can “kill” gun soldiers, take the heal cannon and heal them, kill them again over and over to keep gaining dark points in essence get a permanent chaos meter while you keep killing him. I think it’s a glitch since they’re the only enemies in the game you can do this with.

So glad you covered this one. This was like the epitome of child me thinking "maybe there is more to this world than candy land like imagery"
Most underrated Sonic game ever!
Pretty much this game needs an sequel...🤗
Shadow be like "My glitch is flying, works every time"
I love how I just finished watching Clement's play through of the game before seeing this.
And thus, a legend ends 😢
What happen?

The Ark Skip really reminds me of one of the Egg Engine Skips in SA2
Egg Engine?
Where's that DAMN glitch?
...Here it is!
NEW EPISODE HYPE! I always look forward to another episode and no disappointment here. Maybe it's time to play Shadow the Hedgehog for the first time.
I miss your videos my guy
Been waiting for you to do Shadow the Hedgehog. I can’t play it without running into tonnes of glitches 😂
LMAO
When the world needed him the most he disappeared
That glitch-finder is back again! Keep up the amazing work!
Hey man its been ages, could you update us a little? Make sure your safe and doing alright. We miss your content a ton.
loving the new intro song and animation!!!
Son of a shadow
I never actually beat this game, despite playing a whole lot of it. Im kinda tempted now
As a massive fan of the game it's not worth beating unless you also think you're a massive fan, it takes alot of mental fortitude
Im beginning to think that bro died on us 💀
Dude your back after a long time you were a big part of my child hood I'm so glad you're back
There was a missed glitch on the black comet level.
It happens at 52:08-52:31
The spin dash also can be used in many different ways when it is usually though of as an afterthought. Hope this helps, have a great day!
"Mariuhhhh" - Shadow the Hedgehog, everytime he dies
Welp I don't find why you're not uploading, hope you're ok. If you're on new projects (I see you've had some minor roles recently in sonic origins & some fan games) I hope you enjoy it nerd!
I once encountered that infinite falling glitch in my personal time playing because of a corridor not being completely solid, had to restart/exit the stage because of it.
Why havent you uploaded for a while? Its been over a year
There are a few more glitches I've found:
Vector spawning in Cosmic Fall Expert Mode: for whatever reason, if you go to the end of the stage where the Computer Room and Goal ring have been moved, if you die after getting the checkpoint, Vector will appear as your mission partner and it will do the intro for meeting a character the first time, when you normally play the stages in this mode solo, with the side cast commentating on you.
Where's that Damn 4th Chaos emerald
One glitch I discovered when I was younger was that you can “kill” gun soldiers, take the heal cannon and heal them, kill them again over and over to keep gaining dark points in essence get a permanent chaos meter while you keep killing him. I think it’s a glitch since they’re the only enemies in the game you can do this with.
You can do it with Mechs and Black Aliens too, but you have to be fast
